Google Drive helps users store company data in one place. Users can access files from desktop and mobile devices and control how team members share these files. The platform provides a central admin panel, data-loss prevention and a vault for the drive to ensure compliance and file sharing between users.

Google Drive offers team collaboration tools such as Docs, Sheets and Slides. Teams can create new documents and share them with members. They can also engage in real-time document editing and leave comments to update members of changes. It includes machine-learning technology to help users predict future needs. Google Drive provides features like a natural-language search and optical character recognition (OCR).

Google Drive integrates with third-party applications including DocuSign for e-signatures, CloudLock for additional security layers and LucidCharts for mockups. Users can open different file types like PDFs and MPEG4s, and they can work on Microsoft Word files straight from the drive. Pricing is per month. Support is provided via online chat, email and the phone.

I use this for EVERYTHING

Pros

I love how easily it is accessed on my phone app. I love how I am able to organize everything on this as a student, as well as in my job they use the drive to organize their entire company through team drives, folders, etc.

Cons

I wish it was easier to move folders from place to place. Sometimes you have to download the file and then move it.

Google Drive

I can get quick access to the pictures i take for work on my PC. And it synchronizes well with my E-mail.

Pros

I like how I can use drive as a hard drive and not worry about loosing my files. They give you 15 G for free.

Cons

I don't like how there is no password protection. It seems you have to go out of your way to really secure your files.

Google Drive

Pros

I have used it for years and think it is simple and straighforward to use. Easy to share docs with my team.

Cons

I don't use it often enough as I tend to rely more on my Mac Desktop for documents.

Awesome Storage Program

I have used Google Docs for years. Both for personal and professional applications. Google Docs has never let me down!

Pros

I love that I can keep track of all my files and teammates' files in one place. The search bar makes it really easy to find documents or sheets that I need.

Cons

It can get a bit crazy in Google Drive. If you aren't careful you'll have a mess on your hands. Make sure to keep everything organized from day one or you might lose important documents.

Store all your files with Google Drive

Pros

I like that I can store tons of my files of all different kinds on here- documents, resumes, portfolio samples, images, pdfs- all in one place. I like that I can save them into folders for easy access. The search tool is also helpful in finding files quickly. It also syncs well with my Google Drive app.

Cons

So far, I like everything about it! It's very easy to use and haven't had any bad experiences with it.

Neat integration from the company with most internet presence in the world.

Collaboration is very much simplified when everyone is using the same solutions company-wide. Gsuite is neatly integrated and is the core strength of the product: Everyone can collaborate without too much hassle.

Pros

Most users will already be familiar as gmail is one of the most prevalent e-mail providers.
Enterprise license is very extensive.
Almost any web-browser will do.

Cons

Not a desktop client available anymore.
Not a very simple way to have a folder synched automatically (a-la-dropbox)

Helpful for organizing projects and accessing files

Being a poor graduate student and only being able to afford a cheap Chromebook, I worried about being able to write papers and projects but being Chrome it came easily accessible to Google Drive of course, which I was new to. It is immensely easy to use and I love that it's free.

Pros

I started using Google Drive in grad school, and it was immensely helpful not just for writing my own papers because I only had a Chromebook, but for collaborating on projects with my cohort. I appreciate how easy it is to use, that the functioning is pretty much like junior Microsoft Word, that it is connected to my Gmail, and that I can access it from anywhere, not just from my own computer. I think the best part is that it's free.

Cons

Trying to download papers or spreadsheets to real Microsoft documents or Adobe etc is a bit tricky and doesn't directly correlate- they don't play the best together.

Storage as service made easy by Google

Pros

1. Google drive gives us the ability to store about 15GB of data free, on a cloud based storage service.
2. The storage service is very secure with its two factor authentication and google security measures.
3. The service has apps and website that run across devices and both the app and the website are easy to use and very optimized for devices of all types.
4. The integration of drive with other G suite services such as google docs and gmail makes it a very lucrative choice among the competition.
5. Collaborative features allowing us to share data with other people make it a very useful service for users and developers like me alike.

Cons

1. Since the storage is about 15 GB for free user , one might have to upgrade the storage provided by google and that comes at a price which might not comfort everyone.

Google drive

I am within a multidisciplinary team of professionals and companies, where we must share daily information

Pros

What I like about the file is that I can store without an icon and share the files online, that's great because you save time.

Cons

What I like least about the file is that it is not so easy to manage, that is, files must be shared only through gmail and not other email addresses

Nice Backup app by Google

Pros

Being a Google product, it seemlessly gets integrated with Android phones which makes it awesome. Auto-backup feature works like a charm.

Cons

Non availability of option to select a particular folder on phone/pc for auto sync with drive.
