Easy to use and great UI
The RTW team is very responsive with our questions and are very willing to hear all feedback. They truly want to transform the way online events are held, and are able to make events feel more fun and organized. I really enjoyed working with the RTW staff to get everything we needed (though we didn't need much!).
PROSRun the World has great built in features that are perfect for conferences. We especially enjoy the creativity of the cocktail party and groupfie feature. It allows participants to stay engaged with the program. The platform is also extremely affordable. Our users all agreed that the user interface was easy to understand and aesthetically pleasing.
CONSOur conferences are rather big (500+ users) so it may have slowed down the software a little bit. Sometimes there were connection issues or groupfies wouldn't load, but other than that, we saw no issues with the platform.

Half-baked platform
This platform needs an incredible amount of work. It's not there for "prime time" as yet. Good ideas but honestly, there needs to be some serious QA work done and User Groups brought in to help make this a fully developed app/platform. I will continue to support my performers if/when they have another show but I refuse to use the platform again. Thank you.
PROSWhen it works, it works fine. The quality of the video is decent.
CONSMost everything. The shows I would attend have multiple pieces to it (pre-show, show, post-show). The way it is all laid out as individual areas, means it makes it very tough to get through to each. When you increase the size of the screen the chat scrolls right through the presentation (awful). The video quality will sometimes become so poor (unclear if it's the platform, the content or not), it just starts the show over. For some of the shows, it would just quit after 10 mins. Again, is this the platform or the video content? The UI is atrocious and harkens back to 2010 or so with giant ineffective buttons. A lot of it just doesn't make sense in how it's layed out. And trust me, I've tried. And the emails. My god the sheer volume of emails one gets just for purchasing 1 show is ridiculous. Each show I get 4-5 messages announcing when the show will start (24 hours to go, show is starting soon! etc). Now add to it that if I purchase pre and post show activities, I get multiple emails for each of those. It's ridiculous the SPAM your system sends out.

Amazing user experience for conference attendees
I've attended conferences at RTW multiple times, and i love it! Compared to other virtual meeting/conference platforms, RTW features engaging human connections. During presentation there’s emoji flying around, comments generating fanfares. And there’s also the speed networking session features magical hallway conversation.
CONSThere’s a feature called donation which is a quick way for user to show their support and a great fundraising opportunity for organizations. However, what I don’t like is: it’s hard or impossible to have tax-deductible workflow, even just a tax-deductible receipt option.

EXCELLENT!
I originally joined last year hesitantly, after using a couple other platforms that were a total bust. Run the World has never disappointed me. They have addressed any issues promptly and it runs smoothly!
PROSI love the customer support, the ease of using this platform and my attendees LOVE the engagement features!! The ability to see who is in the room with a profile picture, say hi individually, interact with the emojis during the presentations and the commenting box and GRAB THE MIC is the best!
CONSI do wish there was an option for my attendees to join with one click.
Reason for choosing Run The World
The price point was excellent for a small business owner like myself, the customer service (I put out a couple test questions to see) was prompt, courteous and informed. The setup is simple and the platform is easy to use. And I love the option to offer plenty of free tickets for my event.
Reasons for switching to Run The World
Hopin completely crashed during my first large event and I got NO customer support - just an apology WEEK AFTER the event ended with an excuse that they need to hire more customer support staff and apologize. No reimbursement, nothing else.

KB Review.
Very good experience using it - reminds me of a Clubhouse type of platform. The overall ease of use for a first time user however might be deemed a little hard.
PROSThe sense of community it brings the user. There is a type of social media content that it brings that could be explored further. This being said, the generation before Gen Z might not fully understand this and could be taught a little bit more about the functions and the use.
CONSAccessing live programs - there doesnt seem like a seamless transition from the chat functions to the program etc. The user side there is a lot going on, and I understand that this is the beauty of this software; but at the same time the functions are confusing at times and the end use of the product doesnt always seem to deliver as fast and effortless as say some other programs that dont offer the same features. User friendliness is what could really launch this platform, then all the other details that you guys have coded can follow.

Easy to use virtual events even for large audiences
Participation in virtual evens worked like a charm. Viewer participation and discussion between participants worked well too.
PROSI attended several virtual meetings and conferences so far, and they worked like a charm so far. The point I was most concerned about is performance. Will the software keep up with hundreds or thousands of users, especially in free conferences? And it did! That's the thing I like most about Run The World.
CONSSometimes I had the impression that some more features could have been useful, but as my last attendance at RTW is a while ago, I can't remember any so far. So it couldn't have been so bad.

Amazing Concept but.... and its a huge but
not ready for the big time, dont depend on for corporate use yet you will regret it. also video quality is limited to say the least
PROSthe overall feature set is cutting edge, you can see where they are going in the future
CONSthe market to everyone who registers for anything you have on your platorm. and it bad , very very very bad. its worst then telemarketing and its insidious and they dont give up. think about it in this way your audience registered for your event not to be marketed to by run the world . they know about the problem for quite sometime but they have taken a ignore and see approach

Women in Quantum in Africa review of Run the World software
The Run the World software for the Women in Quantum in Africa event was seamless to use and I would recommend it to others when organising such events.
CONSI'm not aware if this is a fault of the software, but during the Women in Quantum in Africa event, there were times when speaker's audio and video was very poor and not able to follow. I believe this is more of an issue with the speaker's own tech, so perhaps this is not related to the Run the World software.

Here's my experience on Run The World
Loads of fun. Good choice for event support. Something to consider if LD metrics aren't top priority.
PROSI attended free, monthly sessions from an industry thought leader who convened a Subject Matter Expert on given dates and also facilitated a great discussion with attendees. I like the ease of registration, the ability to communicate with other attendees, the opportunity to return to the recording later in the game, the sense of community.
CONSThere have been some hiccups with connection and broadcast - but unclear what the source of this is. Not sure this is a contender for storing assets, breaking out into small working sessions, being partnered with a coach or peer-mentor. This wasn't my experience - but the functionality may exist.

Fun, innovative platform
I've enjoyed my meetings held in Run The World.
PROSThe combination of the "1-on-1 meetups" and the ability for people to "grab the mike" makes for an interesting experience that is different from webconferencing software. This is more appropriate for a happy hour or open mike session, and for that, it works surprisingly well.
CONSI've found that the interface isn't always intuitive. For example, finding the comments/ongoing conversation when I'm in an event is hard; if I click on the obvious "chat" button, it takes me to my personal list of conversations. Also, I couldn't easily find an explanation of the icons that float up the screen; I had to guess at what they meant.

I like the "stage" aspect where there are stage individuals, and then there is like a chat room for attendees (if the platform is being used for an event)
CONSI don't like that I can't see the other attendees like in a Zoom call. Or the fact that I don't really feel like I can interact with the speakers.
