Pros/Cons
Pros
- I have used this and brought this every company I have worked at and now that I own my own business, it was a perfect fit. The software is an easy sell to new clients and onboarding is great too.
- All about this software are good, the setup, the creation of set´s, the backup and restore, the reports, all the fatures are good.
- For large custoimers with a lot of virtual machines or data, it's a good solution with a good price.
Cons
- When we needed it the most, it had error after error. Truly regret spending as much as we did on the system.
- Unusable, hard to manage, unfriendly. After years of usage, most of the time, we give up investigating and get lost in useless information and necessary but impossible to find information.
- When white labelled the name Ahsay appears in error reports this actually revels the name of Ahsay to our competitors and our white labelling value is lost.
Pros
- The ability to self-host the server out of a docker container and scale it in our existing compute resources (Kubernetes) is an excellent option that we take advantage of.
- I like that it's pretty customizable and the one time I did contact support, they were friendly and helpful. It's just worked since I got it installed.
- I was impressed by the ease of use of the server, how to deploy agents and how easy was to extract information from the server to report to our users how the backup was protecting their information.
Cons
- Storage vaults is bit confusing. Local vault and UNC file might have a problem connecting.
- The scheduling part and performance when using the Comet Server as storage destination are some of the parts where we struggle the most with.
- The interface is a little confuse, paths to the options are not directly.
