### Best Business Phone Ever!

My experience with OpenPhone is really awesome. I use this every day to communicate with my prospects and clients. I always keep this in my arsenal. Their mobile app is too good and user friendly plus UI looks too good. You can do everything from their mobile like calls, sms, and voicemails and the most interesting part is their snippets feature.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

This is my daily use business phone. I use OpenPhone to call and text my prospects and clients and this is a very helpful solution that I found on the Internet because when it comes to features there's no other software provided at this price. Their support is too fast like lightning speed, and they respond too quickly whenever you have a problem. OpenPhone gives you everything you need to start a business from scratch like calls, text messages, sending voicemails, voicemail transcriptions, call forwarding, round-robin and you can also add new numbers. Incredible app!

#### Cons

There's nothing to dislike about OpenPhone but it would be very helpful for sales if they provide a power dialer. This will save a lot of time, no doubt. But still, I love this app.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5

#### Pros

I love many things - it works wonderfully, hardly ever a glitch! Customer service is great. Love that I can see texts, phone calls and voice mails from customers all in one spot!Anyone on my team can log into open phone from their device and make a call/respond to the customer from the app.

#### Cons

There is only one con. Once in a while, I run into a glitch where I want to enter this number into documents, but the phone number is not recognized as real phone number, so I have to put my personal number....so it's great as the forward facing phone number for customers for my business, but I have to use my personal number for certain administrative accounts.

#### Reasons for switching to Quo

Cheaper and better quality, more reliable calls.

If you want a reliable long term platform, this isn't the one. They will shut you down in a heartbeat based on speculation. Customer service/retention means nothing to this company at all. I set it up for business use to contact and follow up with my customers however, that only lasted less than 2 days. Don't be fooled by the price, you pay for what you get. I wouldn't recommend this platform to my worst enemy...IT ABSOLUTELY SUCKS!!!!

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5

Had problems initially porting my number due to my problems from my previous service. I worked with one tech person at OpenPhone who was proactive, communicative, and really made me feel like my business was super important to them. The service is crystal clear, and everyone I've reached out with has been responsive very quick. Love the new services that keep being introduced, especially the auto transcript of voicemail and call recordings. Havent used the auto attendant, but plan to soon. So many features all for one low price. OpenPhone is a great business partner to have.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

separate contacts lists, windows desktop app, many features with new ones constantly being rolled out, and all for a very reasonable monthly charge are why I love Openphone, but what truly separates them from others I've tried has been the support I received during implementation and porting my number.

#### Cons

The only thing I'd like to see is the ability to set a (or for it to have its own) custom ringtone

#### Reasons for choosing Quo

What initially sold me was the ability to keep a separate contacts list for my business contacts out of my phone's regular contacts app, along with a reasonable cost

#### Reasons for switching to Quo

Dingatone was full of nonsense, like it was designed for teenagers (maybe it was). The worst was a game they had where other customers could go in and steal your credits. Not a good service for business use. What annoyed me was, like most other low cost phone apps, was it requiring to connect to your phone contact list. Its important to me to keep my business and personal contacts separate.

We needed an uncomplicated phone. Previously we were paying too much for what we needed and the system was overly complex. Openphone has been easy to work with from the get-go. The customer support has been fantastic whenever we've had a feature request or run into issues (rare). Highly recommend for small businesses and solopreneurs to separate personal phones from business.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Quick and easy setup. Excellent customer support including new feature requests. Works very well on a daily basis.

#### Cons

As one we run two businesses with the same team in the same industry, initially we were hoping to use the same phone number and then redirect to the correct company. There was a small workaround initially however a feature has since been added to allow us to do this without a "hack".

#### Reasons for choosing Quo

Their feature set was clearly communicated (met our needs) and offered at a competitive price.

#### Reasons for switching to Quo

Was looking for a more affordable phone service that provided the features that we needed and not have us paying for a lot extra.

OpenPhone allows me to use my personal cell phone, but have a secondary phone number just for business. It allows me to set up business hours, so I am not receiving calls at all hours of the day and night.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Very easy to set up and use. OpenPhone cost is similar to competitors, except that you get way more features, and the dashboard is much better.

#### Cons

I don't have anything negative to say about OpenPhone at this time. I have not needed to use customer support yet, so that is an area I can't speak on.

#### Reasons for choosing Quo

Same price, but more features, including the ability to record calls and set business hours.

OpenPhone is very easy to use and has nice features like setting up your caller ID so that the person you're calling can see the name you entered. It can record calls clearly without any distortion/noise. All calls are clear.

#### Cons

I wish that I could use OpenPhone on my desktop (I use a chromebook). If a call is coming in, I wouldn't have to switch to a different tab.

I don't have that many pros during my time using OpenPhone. I can say that their customer service was always there to help even though there was not a lot of solutions that could be applied

#### Cons

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 1/5
- Value for money: 2/5
- Customer support: 1/5

#### Pros

User interface is nice. It's easy to use and designed well the core function does not work well

#### Cons

Lots of dropped calls. The number one function is to answer calls and it cannot get that right. Loads of bugs generally, and the development team don't care. It's been months of me reporting issues and getting no fixes. The "do no disturb" feature for example just does not work, I keep getting calls when it's turned on, and my team members, the people who should be taking the calls, are not seeing the calls come through even though they should be.

#### Pros

They have all the right features, in a decent UI

#### Cons

Core features don't work. They have a bug in their call routing that kept calls from coming to my team until I figured out a way to work around it. There is a bug "upstream at a carrier" that is preventing us from sending sms/mms from our core phone number. They failed to mention this prior to us porting our number into their system. Now we're stuck, but it's been weeks with no movement.

Worst onboarding and support experience ever! If you expect to just sign up and immediately get going - forget about it... I've been trying to speak with someone on OpenPhone who can get our account approved asap for outbound messages. We've applied twice and failed and cannot get any concrete information as for why. ### Great call management, but lacks integrations and live-call monitoring

Quo is solid for straightforward call management, but it falls short for teams using multiple tools or needing robust onboarding capabilities. If you're integrated with platforms like Jobber or need live-call monitoring for training, this tool will feel limiting.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Quo handles call management reliably. The in-app mention and comment/threading features are excellent for internal collaboration—our team uses these constantly to flag issues and discuss customer interactions.

#### Cons

The lack of API/webhook support is a significant limitation. We use Jobber for field operations, and there's no clean way to create tasks or assign conversations to team members across both platforms. We have to manually coordinate, which adds friction. Additionally, Quo doesn't support live-call listening, which is a major gap for us, training new CSRs on real calls is critical, and we can't do that effectively with Quo.

#### Vendor response

Hi Richwell, Thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We're happy to let you know that we now offer a Tasks feature across all plans, and it is also supported through our API, making it easier to incorporate into your existing workflows and integrations. Regarding live call listening, thank you for the suggestion. We've shared your feedback with our Product team for consideration as we continue to improve the platform. We appreciate your ideas and your support. Thanks for choosing Quo!

### Excellent, best value out there, fully featured, highly recommend

Seamless setup makes it easy to get up and running, the API was tricky to program to, took a lot of trial and error, and it is also not pure JSON, so the variable typing was a pain, took lots of debugging cycles to finally get it right. Support to my surprise did escalate to engineering to fix some critical API bugs, that was a pleasant surprise since most support depts completely fail when it comes to bug reports from customers.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Feature rich, does everything we need, has an API, allows us to have multiple lines. We were able to customize the phone lines and get contact data for our business pushed into OpenPhone so we knew which customer is calling or texting us and what their customer profile was.

#### Cons

The Webhook API is very limited and doesn't give us access to messages. The contact API is still pretty rough and has issues. AI responder is overpriced, no API to use our own AI token based API. Contact UI doesn't provide the ability to insert links, for example being able to link to a customer's CRM info in another system.

#### Reasons for choosing Quo

Eventually I will build my own phone app to use with Twilio but for the time being, I needed a ready to use solution with enough API access to do what I need, and OpenPhone works.

#### Reasons for switching to Quo

Line2 was horrible, no service, dated product with no updates, and very poor call quality. OpenPhone was the fix.
