UNIVERGE 3C, NEC’s software-based IP-PBX, is a unified communication and collaboration solution. Designed primarily to serve small size businesses, this solution can even be scaled to meet the business requirements of any size that are concerned with security. It offers an IP-PBX system with voice features, unified communication and collaboration tools.

UNIVERGE 3C is available in on-premise, cloud-based and hybrid deployment models, all of which are priced by the number of users. In addition to running on major desktop operating systems (Windows and Mac OS X), UNIVERGE 3C also runs on iOS and Android for mobile access.

Users can move calls between devices and control when they answer them. Unified messaging ensures that users will stay informed about all communications, regardless of whether they’re sent as voicemail, email, SMS or IM. Moreover, UNIVERGE 3C offers an Emergency Onsite Notification feature that lets responders know the exact building and room location from which an emergency call was placed.

Problematic Communications

If the price is too good to be true, then it is worth walking away and saving the day. Wish that we had done this.

Pros

Everything comes a great price thanks to NEC price dumping.

Cons

We found lots of issues with integration, inexperienced partners and software issues.
