Vonage Business Solutions software


Vonage Business Solutions is a cloud-based communications solution suitable for small and midsize companies. The solution offers a business phone system that enables businesses to connect their VoIP phone system to internet-enabled devices and communicate via text, over the phone or via video conferencing.

Core features include call announce and screening, multiple devices on a single extension, do not disturb settings and more. Calls are managed through the admin portal, where account managers can review call recordings, set up dialing restrictions, adjust dashboard visibility for employees and view billing information.

The Vonage Business Solutions mobile app gives users another method for accessing the service. Vonage Business Solutions also offers desktop plug-ins to customize the system. Users can also integrate their contacts from Google, Outlook and customer relationship management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce.

    Expansive features but price point an issue

    Switched back to our former software for conferencing despite lesser features as price point for our business was going to be a major consideration long term.

    Pros

    Feature set is extensive, compared to our previous preferred conferencing option. Also, messaging option was useful for keeping everyone updated, especially as some of our staff are based further afield in San Diego and we’re not always reachable for full conferencing.

    Cons

    Price is expensive considering what we had with our initial set up. Felt it outweighed the feature set.

    We love this as our phone provider as it is very cost effective and we have few service interruptions.

    Cons

    The phone system setup is very hard to use - it feels like you need a technical degree! to set ours up I had to have their support walk me through the whole process. Now I don't touch it.

    I would think Vonage would be ok for a software for business but not one of the best when it comes to cloud services clarity of conversation was very clear and crisp.

    1. Easy to understand and work with.
    2. Cost Effective plans.
    3. Features like SimulRing, Three-Way Calling, Voicemail, and Call Forwarding are very elite and helpful
    4. Its feature of VOIP( Voice Over Internet Protocol) has given Vonage more arena to blossom and help its customers.
    5. It is available on web as well on phone, hence it has extended accessiblity
    6. The extensions available in Vonage helps one to take the call and call anyone, anywhere.
    7. Calls, if missed, can be seen as the Vonage team sends an email regarding calls and voicemails, so there is no delay
    8. The text message feature helps me to connect with everyone in case, they mis calls or are in bad network area.

    Cons

    Some times, there is an issue for call drop. But it is minimal and happens due to poor internet connections.

    Features are okay and great for some businesses. There is no issue with the services or connection.

    Cons

    Vonage is too high priced. They also try to scam you with features that you say you do not need and hidden fees. Their sales professionals are always rude if you complain about the pricing

    Depending on your age group and whether you were technology savvy or not you may or may not benefit from the software.

    Pros

    I mean it works well but yeah it works The Voice clarity is there and it is reliable to contact and communicate with people

    Cons

    There are so many other free solutions if you are willing to go mobile that it just isn’t worth it to me. I don’t understand who uses this instead of other mobile solutions.com free with your phones. It just seems like a very old-school experience that I have grown out of and I don’t really use anymore.

    Vonage Business saved me and my client hundreds of dollars! I use Vonage to connect with my client, our customers and in all other communication we do as a business. Pricing is affordable for small-medium businesses and to start-up businesses as well. Working homebased had been easier with Vonage. Their customer service is extremely friendly!

    Cons

    It's good that they offer Voicemail Transcription, but sometimes it's not accurate. I had to listen to the voicemail to verify if the transcripted message was correct or not.

    Less money than a regular business phone service Smart App for PC and Mobile Easy, effective, good quality sound

    Pros

    Easy to use, all extensions in your company, all contacts, everything a clicks and touches away. This is our first app for business comunication and phone app. Works fine in my cellphone and in laptop. Regular and old business phones are a thing of the past, Vonage is here and now, kind a first step to the future

    Cons

    Messages, and voicemail need a few improvements, I mean, almost perfect, but as I said, almost. The message center and preview is not that Friendly, kind of a type of Whatsapp Copy, but without all the charm of a chat app. But as we use it mostly for voice calling, not a big issue

    Glad we made the switch to Vonage

    My company recently switched over to Vonage to be our call routing system, and I've personally been a big fan of it. As a vacation rental management company, we need some people to be on call 24/7, some only during the day, some only on certain days during the week, etc. And these people change, week to week, depending on our schedule. It can be pretty confusing, and at first, the Vonage system was not set up specifically to our preferred plan. However, the Vonage support staff was really great in creating a guide for us, and setting up meetings to make sure the system eventually flowed the way we needed it to. Their system is VERY user friendly and intuitive, once you get the hang of it. Everything is clean, the design is sleek, and the customer service is great. What more could you ask for?

    Cons

    Because the calls come over wifi and do not use cellular, the call quality can sometimes be very spotty. Additionally, as I already mentioned, the flow of Vonage can be difficult to figure out at first.

    Great to have Vonage.

    Pros

    I have been using Vonage from last 5 years. Its a great think for International calling. The Vonage Mobile Application also do the similar Job. Vonage call quality are really good and the cost of using Vonage is very less. Call forwarding feature really works well. The voice mail are converted into text and sent on your email id is the best feature i like.

    i didn't really found any cons in Vonage, but the application of Vonage of phone something Lag a lot.

    This is pretty easy to set up. Since it is virtual it is quite easy to scale to fit growing or changing organization.

    Cons

    They merged with another company and everything got worse. The main issue was tech support. Any issues became big problems.

    For a new business or a smaller organization, Vonage is a great solution to get a centralized phone system VoIP set up. The app is great too!

    Cons

    The support can be a hit or miss and if you run into issues you have to deal with it. Although quality is usually great quality, it can also all depend on your overall internet connectivity which makes it hard to diagnose where the issue is if you start experience call drops or bad quality.

    Pretty straight forward and It paired right away with my grandstream phone and is easy to open the desktop app for typing an SMS.

    When the phones actually worked, it made the ease of transferring calls, and taking incoming calls better.

    Cons

    The customer service is horrible, and the phones most of the time do not work. There was always static on the line, and sometimes we never received calls. Vonage would say it was our internet, but once we switched services we never had the problem again.

    Was great until Vonage Purchased Vocalocity

    Simple phone system with no difficulties getting around a business firewall. The app was useful. The online reporting and user configuration was straight forward

    Cons

    When Vonage made the purchase of Vocalocity, the quality of the service went downhill. The issues became more apparent after moving the customer service call center out of Atlanta to NY/NJ. The last thing someone wants to hear when their phones have been down for 2+ hours is New York attitude thrown back in your face. The service became so unreliable with so many outages, some for over a day, that we had no choice but to find another provider.
