Zoom meeting, but from phone

It is a very helpful application that i have use it a lot while on-the-go and when i don't have my computer with me. It was a great experience for me.

PROS

Zoom Phone is very helpful for anyone that are constantly on-the-go but need to join the meeting session with client or colleague. It operate from my smartphone, which mean i don't need my laptop to launch the application. The audio quality always clear and i had never had problem with the audio.

CONS

I can't change the audio calls from using my phone carrier to be using the VOIP. It need to be setup before the call are made, and can not change it in the middle of the session. I had to cancel the session and join in it again using the VOIP option. I hope it can be change in the future.

Zoom Phone a great fit for business

We switched to Zoom phone right as the pandemic was starting. We had plastic Cisco phones on everyone's desk and switched them to a VOIP phone. We expected pushback from the employees, but they have loved it from the beginning. Having the flexibility to add the Zoom phone app on your mobile device and make work calls from your personal device but not expose your personal phone number is a huge win.

PROS

Very user friendly on the admin side. You can build and adjust call queues within minutes. You can assign and remove licenses when needed. When transferring calls you can do it by extension or you can look up the persons name to transfer. You can also easily check call quality on the admin dashboard.

CONS

There isn't a search feature on the admin portal. So if you are looking to adjust a feature that you don't use very often you typically have to Google where it is located. It would save a ton of time if they added a basic search to the admin portal.

Reason for choosing Zoom Phone

The call quality of Teams wasn't as good. It was also more complicated to setup call queues and use admin features.

Complete Train Wreck

We were double billed at the beginning and when we requested the second account be closed, it was set to cancelation pending and never changed or refunded. When we attempted call tickets they were never answered. When I called, I would hold from 30-45 minutes each call and several times my call was dropped once answered and I would have to start the process over again. The customer service reps were not fluent in English and read standard responses from a notebook, none of which actually addressed our issues. There was no way to escalate and when we finally received follow ups they still did not address the issues or answer the questions.

PROS

We were pleased to be given the option of using a phone app instead of standard desk phones given the nature of our business.

CONS

The setup process was confusing, call routing and other functions very unclear and hard to set up, customer service completely non-existent.

Zoom call in remote teams

Highly positive and I would recommend it to anyone working with calling processes

PROS

The call monitoring feature is what I use the most to monitor the calls being made by my team. The ability to change phone numbers your calling from is also very convenient

CONS

I would have liked to receive the total time spent on call metrics for users as well, at the moment we only receive total calls made. A more intuitive and interactive platform for going through call logs would also be beneficial

Great For When your Laptop or Desktop Isn't Available

It's perfect for business interactions. You can sell remotely without the customer physically visiting the dealership. You can also attend a meeting in the comfort of your home.

PROS

The Zoom platform is available to everyone. It has multiple features that connect you with a larger audience, irrespective of your financial status. It offers free and paid services. Zoom becomes more beneficial to you as your career advances. Using Zoom Phone, you can talk with people on your mobile while away from your computer or laptop. It provides you with the same features as a desktop computer. With its user-friendly interface, remote work has become easier. The team can use collaboration tools, such as screen-sharing and whiteboarding, even on non-working days to increase sales.

CONS

I have experienced some delays with the software loading, and sometimes it doesn't always recognize my headset. Fixing that would be a major plus for me.

Zoom Phone makes my day more productive

I love how productive I can be when using Zoom Phone, It has become an essential tool on my day by day. My meetings don't lose quality, I can still use all the tools and optimize my time. I recommend everyone to have Zoom Phone installed on theirs.

PROS

I like that I can attend my meeting from my phone while I'm on my way to work or simply doing other things, I can block my phone and still listen to my classes and it doesn't consume much data or battery.

CONS

I find it a bit annoying that I can't keep active the camera while using other apps or minimize the meeting while checking more information

It has heavy, consumed too much battery and data plus I had to keep my phone active all the time

Great for conference calls

I use it on Daily bases and I suggested it to use it to allow communication with remote teams.

PROS

It is easy to use and access on various ways it has many possibilities for effective daily meetings and workshops.

CONS

Adding new silly features like filter and similar, not needed for business purposes and I would rather see them work on some useful features.

I haven't. I suggested Zoom and we do the switch. I have used in a past with different company and I was satisfied.

Can't get out of the contract

The product is great. Customer support is great. Sales is ... irritating.

PROS

Zoom Phone is an excellent product. It works great and the phone setup is pretty easy once you get through some little details.

CONS

We need to reduce our spend and they won't let us out of our contract until September. If I can't cut some expenses in the age of Covid, we might not be around until September. But they don't care; they're not offering us any way to reconcile this without staying on contract for another 8 months.

Reason for choosing Zoom Phone

Zoom phone had a lot going for it. RingCentral was more expensive and complicated.

Simple and Easy to Use

We have finally found our office phone solution! The ability to have our office line anywhere is a huge benefit.

PROS

- Good call quality - The ability to have the office line "on the go" is great - The ability to integrate with other software, especially our CRM, is really good

CONS

No Cons to write about as of yet. If anything, I need a better internet connection!

Reason for choosing Zoom Phone

Price point was better. We were also not using Google for other aspects for our business, so it didn't' make sense for that reason too.

Knowing that Zoom PHONE is a very good telephony alternative for both individuals and companies, it has very good aspects that make it stand out compared to conventional telephony providers, they would be the following: 1- It is a service that is in the cloud, that is, it can be accessed from anywhere that has internet. 2- It is an application that is unified to make calls and video calls and allows you to make changes from one to the other without having to redial or hang up. 3- It has great international coverage, that is, it allows optimizing global and international contact. 4- I love that it has integrations that are very useful when it comes to business meetings such as: Salesforce.

CONS

Just as Zoom PHONE has many positive anet access, basicallyces its use and that is internet access, basically without internet access Zoom PHONE would be dead and would not take place, I think that when comparing with other providers telephony, plus zoom can not be used in basic phones, but not to mention all that Zoom phone is very well developed.

Zoom Phone - the second fiddle to Zoom Meetings

For most of our team its pick up the phone and it works. It may not have all of the features but its core is phone and it does it well.

PROS

Zoom Phone service is a very cost-effective offering with low min seat count. Their service is available via mobile phone, computer & desktop phone.

CONS

While the cost is great and easy to implement, it lacks features that I feel are important. One of the biggest issues for us is lack of digital fax. We are using another service (hellofax) however would prefer to have this integrated to Zoom

Great app! The very best for virtual meetings and communication.

Zoom has made meetings and business discussions convenient in my organisations extremely convenient for all workers. It's spectacular video and audio quality has made physical meetings in my organisation redundant. It has allowed me and my team's members to works remotely with great ease.

PROS

Zoom is very easy to set up and does not require any technical knowledge to set up in an organisation. The sign-up process is very simple and straightforward. One of the most helpful features which is missing from other video conferencing apps is the option to record zoom meetings and store them in the cloud. The link to the recording can be shared with colleagues and co-workers who missed the meeting and they will be able to access and watch the meeting and know what what discussed. Also, Zoom has superior video and sound quality compared to other apps.

CONS

Currently, the only way to communicate with another participant is to send a message in the chatroom which can be read by all participants. There should be a way to privately communicate directly with other participants during a meeting without posting in the chatroom for all participants to see.

Zoom is an onomatopoeia

This is fabulous software performing beyond my expectations.

PROS

I have lived abroad and video called family for years and this allows for the most continued computer functionality while on a call. Using other software, my computer would slow down during a call, or a call would get interrupted if I tried to switch to other functions. This allows ease of sharing files, videos, and website use during a call. I love all the features! Screen shares, controlling others' screens, backgrounds, and sound filtering.

CONS

It would be nice if there were a way to reduce some of the sound filtration sometimes. Even if you check to not reduce background sound. If you want to play music and sing to each other, the music could be filtered out as background sound.

Reasons for switching to Zoom Phone

I used Skype for years, and I downloaded this for a work meeting. Then we started using it from another company after the pandemic hit. I got my whole family to switch from Skype to Zoom for family calls because it's so much better for us in every way!

Zoom's simplicity in your pocket

My overall experience has been quite satisfactory, as with the new versions of the app that keep coming, Zoom for mobile continues to be faster and has the simplicity of starting an online meeting at any time with your phone that you always have with you, is a lifesaver.

PROS

All the functions offered by Zoom, are extracted and put in the app for Google Play and App Store, the great advantages that can be seen is that you can make meetings from the comfort of your smartphone, this is an alternative because by far and in my opinion will be better version on the computer, but this app what it does is that you can get out of a hurry for any emergency you have, you can enter without problems to your online meeting and have the same functions that you have on the pc.

CONS

The mobile version, at the beginning since I started using it, was a bit slow and had several things to improve, since I was seeing it in an early stage to have the version it has today. Once this was fixed, Zoom now has an excellent mobile app, as I find it faster and easier to use for any user who wants to make a quick meeting and share it practically at any time with the use of their smartphone.

PROS

It is easy to use and has a good price compared to other providers.

Limited numbers, and not easy to change. Local presence should be considered. Support for the Zoom phone system is limited.

No matter what device, Zoom Phone is there

Zoom Phone is now our VoIP provider. It's cheaper, simpler and everyone knows it.

PROS

Zoom is now king of teleconferences. That's why the app is on every device on the market. You can hire this service for everyone on your company and no one is going to have a problem. Zoom Phone is based on software, that's why the audio is clean and no one will notice you are not on a regular phone. It's really easy to use, and everyone is now use to the app.

CONS

It doesn't support texting. If you have a problem, is really difficult to talk to a rep. Voicemails can't be configured to have their own shared box. Rumour has it that Zoom is not really safe.

The overall experience is too good.

PROS

The Zoom phone application is User Friendly, we can use in mobiles & Laptop also. we do have option for chatting as well. we can able to create groups for chatting. will able to sent important note to the partners. we will able to send documents in any type of format.

CONS

ZOOM Phone has great call quality but lags behind RingCentral and others

Overall, we're happy with Zoom Phone but, Zoom REALLY, REALLY needs to add answering calls on iOS lock screen like RingCentral, 8X8 and others.

PROS

What I like about ZOOM software is its simplicity. We didn't need all the features of competitors like RingCentral.

CONS

ZOOM phone doesn't support answering calls on the iOS lock screen. BIG missing feature for ZOOM Phone! Also, cumbersome to move calls from a mobile device to Mac and back.

Don't believe anything their salespeople tell you.

Sales made promises they couldn't deliver. Promised to refund my money, and never did. I spent hours trying to resolve this and was run around in circles.

Low price and competitive features, already use Zoom video

CONS

They charged me upfront for a year of service, did not complete the installation, and refused to refund my money.

Overall good product

Great overall experience though!

That I can connect with people from anywhere in the world and it works with Manycam.

CONS

I don’t like that you can’t control whether other member in a meeting can leave or not even if you’re the host as I need that option for students in the classroom who log out.

Good service to communicate with people online

It is great because I really enjoy the functions that Zoom Phone has such as the camera effects, the option to record the meeting, and the reactions.

PROS

Based on my experience, it is the easiest software to get a meeting with people online. We can turn on/off the camera or microphone anytime.

CONS

Sometimes I could not copy the text from the chat bar as links, codes, etc.

Best online meeting or video call platform

During his COVID 19 virus, it is effective for us in my online class. Most of the time I was talking with my friend his software. So overall it is useful for me.

CONS
