Great for building websites in a very short time
I'll keep using WordPress in my company for me and my clients. It's a great product and simply the best free CMS on the market right now.
PROSNowdays getting to the first pages of Google is of great importance. WordPress is very SEO friendly which allows you to set up keywords and good practices very easily. Its template ecosystem is huge and this allows you to build nice looking websites in days, not weeks. From the user perspective, WordPress is quite easy to use, and the learning curve is quite plain. Finally, there are plugins for a lot of common functionalities, so if you need something specific not included in WordPress core, there is nearly always a plugin that comes to the rescue.
CONSWordPress is candy for hackers and you need to put special care into keeping it updated and secure. Fortunately, there are some plugins to help you with this. Anybody can write a plugin and uploaded it to the marketplace. Some malicious people may use this to build a plugin with a backdoor. You need to put special care into installing 3rd party plugins to avoid this kind of security issue.
Reason for choosing WordPress
Wordpress market share is way superior to its competitors.
Reasons for switching to WordPress
It's just quicker to build sites in WordPress and having so many plugins and templates available allow us to finish websites in a fraction of the time than with a custom CMS.

Wordpress Review From A Person Who Is Not Techie
Yes, here are some common business problems with using WordPress:Security vulnerabilitiesLimited scalabilityCompatibility issues with pluginsMaintenance and upgrade costsPerformance optimizationLimited design customization optionsHigh cost of professional supportInadequate SEO capabilitiesIt's important to weigh the pros and cons of using WordPress for your business and consider if it meets your needs before making a decision.WhereasHere are some benefits of using WordPress for businesses:Easy to use and manageLarge user community and supportLarge selection of plugins and themesSearch engine friendlyMobile responsiveCustomizable with code or through pluginsLow cost compared to other website building optionsRegular updates and improvementsIntegrates with various tools and servicesGood security with regular updates and plugins.
PROSIn summary, WordPress is a free, open-source website-building platform that gives users complete control over their website and its files. It offers a wide range of plugins, themes, and customizations, making it easy to create unique, fast, and SEO-friendly websites. Additionally, many third-party tools have integrations available for WordPress, making it a versatile and convenient platform for website building.
CONSIn summary, being in charge of your WordPress website also means being responsible for its security, backups, and updates. Although these tasks can be automated, they still require attention. A lack of built-in drag-and-drop builder might pose a challenge for some beginners, but there are plugins available to assist with this. Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS can make using WordPress easier, but it's not necessary to learn it to use the platform. Most users can acquire these skills over time as they use WordPress.

Wordpress as a Designer/user
It was neutral to positive experience for me using wordpress. Since I have an engineering and programming background I was able to do quite a bit in a short amount of time. It is a great platform to use for someone who is looking to just have a simple website with basic information and nothing complex. I think it is very intuitive and useful for bloggers.
PROSI used this software to build a website for a Non-Profit foundation for some fundraising events. I got an account with Bluehost server and wordpress was included in it. For someone who has never built a website before, wordpress did make my life very very easy. It has numerous features that can definitely help a novice like me get a basic website up and running. I enjoyed the following things while using this - Themes It comes with some basic theme templates which can be used to build the website. Just fill in some information that relates to your website and it will populate it. Think of it as a powerpoint template with boxes and design - Easy to upload pictures I was able to create folders and stores pictures on there and name them accordingly so I can go back and use them on different pages. - Widgets and Plugins The main attraction for this software platform I believe is their built in widgets and plugins. You can download from so many options. It is kind of like exploring the app store on your phone. Since it is an open source lot of users create their own widgets and plugins which are either free or you can purchase it. Needless to say purchased ones are much better but I got by with all free ones. - Edit code yes if you are a very savvy css html developer and you understand the code, you can go in and change their code and make adjustments. Warning: Don't mess with it if you don't know what you are doing
CONSThe cons that i noticed in my website after it went live was - Speed The website was just slow. I am not sure if it is because of the widgets and plugins running on wordpress but I hated the speed. - Updates could ruin website Their themes get constantly updated so if you do not update it properly or if the new build released has a bug on it, it could mess up certain things on your website. This happened to many times where the plugins that worked fine on the older build wouldn't work the same on the new. - Time consuming for beginners Yeah it's not as simple as I was expecting it to be. I did spend quite an amount of time understanding the features and how to make best use of them. It was a lot of trial and error so be ready to put in some work at least.

Like the basic functionality and affordable price
Generally a positive experience, good deals, but a very steep learning curve for the first time user. I do like the end result, and the cost is a little reasonable compared to other services. The new app is pretty good, and easy to use across different phones.
PROSVery affordable service, and enough tools to start your own web page by yourself. I like the templates that are offered and how you can add email to tour website. The pages in the end looks great, and there are great tools and ad-ons, such owning aa domain or email based domain via Titanmail. The app to edit your page is useful too.
CONSVery steep learning curve to the uninitiated, feels like you have to hire someone to max out its full potential, or pay alot more on add ons to make your website close to professional looking. Not much drag or drop functions, not sure if that's an add on. I love the conversion preview when you choose a template and how it compares to from pc web page to mobile web. I wish the learning curve wasn't too steep.
Reason for choosing WordPress
Mostly because of its cost and first time user deals. End product looks really good, despite that using something like squarespace would be easier for me.

Experience and Usability Depends on the Plan Level - and Plans are Expensive
WordPress.COM is great for businesses with the budget for it and for people just testing the waters with a free site. However, you cannot really customize your plan levels and there are only three. Without paying the whole, hefty price, a large amount of features are inaccessible WordPress.com, such as the ability to use plug ins, in-depth site statistics and keyword tracking, SEO assistance, paid ads, and some themes. The better bet in my experience is to host your webpage somewhere that supports WordPress.ORG, as that is their free, open source that is basically the same, you just need to find hosting and integration, which is a lotttt cheaper than the WordPress.COM option and you are legally allowed to do more with your site.
PROSThere's a reason why WordPress is one of, if not the biggest names when anyone is looking to start a website. It has it all there... if you subscribe to their pro business plan. Assuming you're on that plan, you've got access to everything and more that you need to have your webpage be YOUR webpage and do everything you want to do.
CONSThe cost. It's a lot for webhosting and if you don't get the top-tier plan, your access to features, layouts, plug ins, statistics, etc. is extremely limited.

Amazing for a free tool, but limited if you are not an expert in PHP, javascript, CSS and HTML
Pros and cons are the same thing: plugins! Those can enhance your website to endless possibilities but create a super hard environment to maintain.
PROSIt's free, easy to use, and has many benefits including: - flexibility - WordPress allows you to customize your site with a wide range of features and options, making it perfect for any type of website. You can add custom themes or plugins to make your site look unique. - security - WordPress is constantly updated with the latest security features so your site remains safe from attack. Plus, all passwords are encrypted by default so you can be sure that no one else but you has access to them. - scalability - With its modular architecture, WordPress is incredibly versatile and can be tweaked to fit any size website.
CONSWordPress has several drawbacks: 1. Difficult to manage: WordPress is difficult to manage and can be complicated to use. 2. Not as versatile as other options: WordPress is not as versatile as other options, such as Drupal or Joomla, and may not have all the features you need. You can add features via plugins, but those slow the site and may create internal conflicts. 3. Lack of customization: Although there are some customizations that are possible with WordPress, it lacks the flexibility of more customizable platforms like Drupal or Joomla. To customize it, you need to hard code the front end or rely on theme editors, which can slow down the website drastically. 4. Poor security: WordPress has poor security features and can be vulnerable to attacks from hackers. It's not vulnerable by default, but since it heavily relies on plugins, those can be backdoors for hackers.
Reason for choosing WordPress
It is free and it is super accessble. There are a ton of tutorials.

No coding require to built a website, its really a cool platform to publish posts with drag and drop functionality make it more flexible. Amazing and powerful platform to manage the website dynamically.
PROSContent management, creating own website by using in-built templates or themes as per niche and make it live is very simple by choosing domain name. User interface is fast and easy to access even integration with third party tools is simple to get deep insights and much more.
CONSWith more apps or plugins it may increase or effect the website loading speed. Moreover, there is always a high risk rate of attacks due to open source platform.

High level website building
I have a blog for many years. Also, when someone asks me about building a website, I always forward them to Wordpress. Everyone likes it.
PROSWhen it comes to building inexpensive websites, both economically and temporally, Wordpress is always my choice. Also, the enormous amount of plugins, both free and premium, are extremely useful. So I could say that the best Wordpress has is that it allows third parties to upgrade the experience. And even more, it provides a great set of tools.
CONSI could not complain about Wordpress even if I used it for so many years. It is always evolving in the good direction and its features are ahead of my needs. I hope they keep it up that way for many years to come.

Couldn’t live without it!
I absolutely love using Wordpress and truly can’t imagine ever using anything else to build a site.
PROSI’ve been using Wordpress for the last 10 years - starting with a simple blog, and working my way up to a full e-commerce and subscription site. It is absolutely indispensable and has always been a pleasure to use. I honestly can’t believe it remains free, and am consistently pleased by the updates the Automattic team makes. Publishing is a breeze, the integrations are endless (literally ANY type of website is possible) and after acclimating to Gutenberg blocks, I am so pleased to be able to drop the page-builder I was using (instant page speed improvement). Though some may feel there’s a bit of a learning curve, I think *most* of their UI choices remain fairly intuitive (especially compared to some of the other CMS options!). I love that I can easily manage my entire shop via Woocommerce in the backend, and have been impressed with what specific theme integrations and plugins can automate for me so I can focus on publishing content rather than spending all my time managing it.
CONSThe one thing I’ve noticed that irks me since the adoption of Gutenberg blocks is that there can a bit of a lag when typing or choosing block options. The blocks can be a bit buggy at times, which can be irritating when in the middle of writing a long post. I also dislike that the post view defaults to “fullscreen mode” even if I’ve previously switched it to keep the sidebar in view. The dashboard view also feels a bit tired and could use an overhaul.
Reason for choosing WordPress
It offered so many more features and there wasn’t any subscription cost or related fee to run my shop.
