I really like this tool due to the support and expertise that I received while being a customer of the product. The support desk agents have always gone above and beyond providing me with insights on SEO and helping me debug my code. I have been a customer for 6+ years and the product is simple to use. I would highly recommend anyone using a single-page application to use prerender.

I have been so blown away by my experience with prerender I have nothing negative to say.

I was struggling to get a decent Pagespeed Insights (PSI) score for my React website https://squaredeal.tax/. Even in 2021, search engines and their crawlers are not up to speed with modern websites developed with JS frameworks/libraries. (Angular, React, Vue etc). People suggested Server Side Rendering (SSR). But, my development was done. I didn't want to redo everything. While looking for a suitable solution, I came across prerender.io. I gave it a try, since it didn't require any development efforts. Setup was easy. After configuring Cloudflare workers (since my site is behind Cloudflare), I was very pleased with the PSI score! It was green!

Documentation has scope for improvement.

The platform itself is really simple. Not elegant. But simple. A bit too simple. A bit more control from within their dashboard would have bene nice. Also, the ability to select and delete more than 1 page of cached pages at a time would be really helpful. Our initial implementation cached all pages, including individual user-account pages. So the pages cached grew tremendously and needlessly. A filter on their end to filter out all pages behind a subdirectory would have been easy, but we ended up having to handle this on our end using our own developer. In the end, Prerender.io is a quick solution, but not an optimal one.

Prerender.io was a quick solution for when Bing.com was unable to index Single Page Applications. As a small website, Prerender.io was a reasonable solution.

As our website evolved, traffic grew, and technology inevitably changed, the value proposition of Prerender.io became obsolete for us since we could build an in-house solution for much less than the cost paid to Prerender.io, as well as target the page caching much more efficiently.

As a startup and having a SPA website it was not easy for us to have high rankings by search engines. Our most important task was visibility by search engines. All I want was better search engine rating because they couldn't render the site correctly for a long period time and we accomplished this with help of Prerender. Now we have high visibility and speed score.

I have been using the product for 2 years without any problem. Integration was quite easy. Recently I moved into a paid account. They have affordable and good planned package types which we like.

I don't remember any bug or feature at the moment.

We were frustrated to learn that client-side rendering in React effectively neutralised any ability to utilise accurate on-site analytics, or get our pages indexed in SERPs. Outside of rebuilding with Next.js, I found Prerender - a very specific tool to solve a very specific problem. And solve it, it did.

If anything, and I'm sure there's probably a solution, but I found that Prerender sometimes cached multiples of the same root URL, but with random query strings suffixed.

It's simple to use, works well in general and there is good documentation to get started with.

It has some quirks here and there in terms of time-outs happening which can't really be explained. Customer support is responding slow, not at all or gives very simplistic answers. Point being it works well overall but the moment you need a bit more support to identify issues on either your side or their side you will be limited.

As e beard launching our SPA, we realized we need a solution to show up in search engines and on social media previews. Prerender solved that.

Prerender.io made deploying our single page app possible. Self-hosted pre-render solutions exist, but none are as easy to use, as quick to deploy nor as reliable as Prerender.

The nature of the product means it takes some trial and error to get working right. This isn’t a knock against Prerender, just a fact. And as a UI nerd, I’d love a prettier interface, but our web visitors never see that so it would just be a nice to have.

It's very easy to set up via nginx and works perfectly. If you want to show your apps with social media preview, this is the best solution.

None. I primarily use it to show dynamic content when you share a link of my website and that's all I need.

The implementation was very easy, just added few lines to nginx configuration and it was ready to go. Their documentation covers lots of web servers and different stacks. Monitoring and refreshing the pages was a peace of cake.

When we redeveloped our main website as an SPA, the SEO rankings tanked. Prerender was brought in as an emergency fix and it worked.

When it works, it does what it is supposed to do. It exposes metatags and SEO enhancements to Google and other search engines. I also like that it is a service and I do not have to worry about running updates or applying patches.

The administrative interface lacks options. It would be nice to restrict IP addresses and domains from the UI as testing systems often accidentally get cached when copying production configurations. As it exists, any url sent with the configuration keys will get added to the cache and will get recached periodically forever. For us this means that test servers occasionally get exposed and crawled leading to surprises in the number of cached pages and in billing.

Its easy to install, has support for most mayor libraries out there, has an API and is fully managed. It was easy to buy and they upgraded the control panel a few months later, which was nice and showed that there is still more work to be done. Its nice to see they are still working on this on a server-side-rendering age. The Admin panel is really nice and easy to use. Currently using it to serve almost 3k pages.

Sometimes its hard to tweak it so it works on all pages. Im getting some blank pages that I cannot fix. I suspect its my code, as you need to tell it to save the snapshot at the right time. I guess the problem is in making it retry in case there is a timeout, so im always checking if I can improve on that side.

Worked exactly as advertised, with minimal technical lift. Did exactly what it said it would do. Overall was very happy with the product from a technical perspective.

We built and launched a SPA as part of our website, only to discover that Facebook, Google, and other crawlers weren't able to index our content as they where when it was all server-side. Prerender was a one-stop fix for the situation. We signed up, put in a few URLs, and magic presto, problem fixed. Bots got the Prerender-ized versions of the pages, served up as HTML. But our actual users got the SPA version, with the speed and power that entailed. Very simple, very easy.

Pretty much everything worked as advertised - the only issue was with the pricing. We felt like the free tier didn't give us very much bang, but the next tier up felt like more money than we wanted to spend. We ended up writing a LOT of custom code for our CDN front end to handle this, but that was a real pain in the neck. If there had been a better pricing option we'd still be using Prerender.

The product is easy to use, easy to implement and one of the most important things: the support was great! It is hard nowadays to find a company that cares about your experience with the product. Congratulations! And the new layout is beautiful.

I found difficult to see what was going on with my cached pages, but now with the new dashboard, layout and features, it is a lot clearer to see the results I am having with Prerender.

Overall experience was pretty good. I had direct contact with the Engineer who built the product and helped solve some issues immediately.

Integration with our AngularJS application using ASP.Net Core middleware was straightforward. There is a nuget library available for easier integration

Limited UI is probably the only con I would say. Recently the team improved the UI, so not sure if the new UI solves some of the issues I had in the past like bulk delete.

To be honest, my idea to use Prerender was completely other, than Prerender expects. I was misusing Prerender just a third-party deep and warm cache. The case I used Prerender was the following: - my client runs a website, based on very old, outdated Perl CMS (not Javascript - no React/Vue or the like), - there are no available IT resources to optimize website performance, - I'm not allowed too optimize performance by myself. The performance bottleneck was a slow website generation, inefficient templates, inefficient database queries. My idea was to use a third party service, which maintains a cache and keeps it warm. Misusing Prerender pushed Lighthouse metrics from around 40 to higher then 90, and stabilized the passing of the Core Web Vitals Assessment. The bottomline: I reached my goal and happy about this. Further I would recommend to any website owner who struggles with performance to use Prerender as cache - it worth to try anyway.

If you are running a highly dynamic, client rendered, JavaScript heavy website/WebApp/platform, then you need this. It gives Google something it understands and is able to index without you needing to pray.

It made getting a react SPA indexed in google a no brainer. We didnt have to schedule in additional work for server side rendering, it was a cheap solution when comparing it with development costs to do it ourselves.

No sample config for any platform such as docker container, nginx, apache, or other And how to limit number of cache url, I don't know.

It's really simple to integrate and has many default configuration available. Add the token and it's working right away. Were having hard issues with Angular SEO, and Prerender has fixed it

Configuration for Integration with Angular could be added to the FAQ (where other configurations are included).

Our Angular website was not properly indexed by Google crawler due to SPA. Using this we're able to indexed our site on Google engine and our ranking became good.
