Excellent cron solution
We've got a bunch of scheduled processes that need to run at different intervals. It has been very easy to set up with CTG.
PROSI've tried other cron solutions on Heroku and they were pretty clunky to set up. Cron to Go is super easy to use. Essentially no config required.
CONSIt created a bit of an issue with monitoring since each cron job spins up a new dyno. We are currently creating 1000 dynos per hour and HostedGraphite doesn't cope well with that. (That's probably more of an issue with HG than CronToGo but it's the only con I can think of).
Reasons for switching to Cron To Go
Other systems were hard to use and not reliable
Vendor Response
Thanks for your feedback Jeremy! I'm not sure how you have Graphite set up for monitoring but since there's a solution how to ignore one-off dynos with Cron To Go and DataDog, there may be a solution waiting to be found for HostedGraphite as well! Versatile Cron Job Management
Heroku's free cron job manager "Heroku Scheduler" is not very flexible with the schedules and has no notification mechanism built in. Cron To Go came to the rescue with its flexibility.
CONSThe pricing tiers are based on the number of cron jobs and the price can really add up if you are running a complex enterprise system. Also, it will be nice to have Cron To Go as a platform-independent SAAS instead of being tied to Heroku.
Vendor Response
Thanks for your review! We are thinking about spinning Cron To Go out, so it won't only be tied to Heroku. I'd love to pick your brain about it whenever you're available. What do you think? :)

Cron To Go Review
It was an easy setup and scheduling of jobs for automation.
CONSLimitation on parallel jobs is the BIGGEST limitation running all jobs.
Vendor Response
Hi Tapan, You can ask Heroku to increase the limits on concurrent one-off dynos. Please see our docs here: https://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/crontogo#debugging-failed-jobs

Worth the money
At first I wasn't sure why we had to pay to have a core functionality, but even if we were able to set up cron jobs the usual way in heroku, I would gladly pay for this service.
CONSI don't like to have a separate service/log in to be able to manage the software, but the tokenized log in is perfect.
Vendor Response
Thank you for your review Ricardo! As a Heroku add-on, Cron To Go supports single-sign-on for Heroku users
