At first, we used SharePoint, but after a year of getting by, we had a proper Workfront implementation and never looked back. We were Waterfall, not Agile, in our project management process; and while Workfront has enhanced their Agile capabilities over the years, it simplified our work management overnight. With our team spread out between California, Minnesota and North Carolina, real-time updates and ease of use for the tool was critical. Workfront delivered both. Thanks to that tool, I was the only project manager on staff for a good while and remained able to manage the entire flow. #### Cons As we expanded and sought to do more robust reporting, there was resistance to using what was generated, or could be screen-captured from Workfront vs. the fixed mindset of using PowerPoint. My overall experience with Workfront is mainly positive. I do not manage many projects, but the ones I do are simple to add resources and know how we are tracking. Timesheets are a breeze, and that is key when I may be on 10+ projects at once. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 2/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros 1. The ease of timesheet management. Timesheets only show the projects I'm assigned to and are easy to navigate. 2. Project Management. Setting up a project and related tasks is a breeze, and it's even easier to add resources to those projects/tasks and assign limits to them. #### Cons There is a strong learning curve at first. Not for the timesheets, but for actually managing a project and it's tasks. We also leverage WorkFront Proof, which allows us to collaborate with other teams and have documents proofed in real-time.
