Working with r.o writer has been the most difficult part of doing business.

But on very minor issues, they've failed as much as half the time to call me back. Calls to tech support rarely reach someone who can fix your problem.

It's a shame this company took such a bad turn to the worst. After all these years I am actively looking.

The second worst problem is lack of user input. There are several areas in the program that work...but require many extra steps that could be reduced with minor coding additions.

Our experience is GREAT. Customer service is always exceptional, and the product has made our business so much easier to manage.

I am upset that I didn't migrate to Generation 2 sooner.

There are other issues, but the tech support is very bad.

Not only in grosses on sales, but on efficiencies. It makes ordering part very easy and you can compare competitors pricing.

What we like about RO Writer is the ease of use and the ability to navigate through the Software.

I think the number of steps that it takes to close out the repair order when final to pay  is to long , customer gets a little upset sometimes.

After 24 years using R O Writer I have to say this new software is crap. More money and a lot of wasted time getting it to work correctly.

System crashes constantly every day. The Tech Support is the worst.

When there is a windows update it kills your license, not everytime and not on every computer. Database corruption wore us out.

Overall a good and logically laid out program for automotive repair facilities.

My sales and support reps are great and are ready to offer any advice or guidance needed to continue to improve our experience with RO Writer.

Our CPA recommends it also as it is very powerful in that feature. The Support team is awesome.

It truly was the best ever ! it was a money machine, awesome records , tracking of techs, mor reports than you could ever need, inventory control, parts ordering, they had the bases covered.

Constant interuptions in service with NO tech support. Having to wait over 2 weeks for a call back only to have them tell you they have no record of the original call/ problem.

Has text capabilities from Service writer to customer and allows customer to text back for increased approval times;  etc.

Labor guide was not useful. Froze all the time and closed the program out and lost work.

It worked for as long as we used it, easy to use.

It is very user friendly. I would recommend this system to customers and family and friends.

RO Writer is the ideal way to manage your shop. Seamlessly integrates with VirtualVehicle, and Quickbooks.

The scheduler, DVI Suite, matrix gives us the ability to maximize each repair order.

Had a bad experience with Mitchell 1 and would not recommend that to anyone.

That said, we have suffered from constant technical problems over the last several years.

RO Writer tech support has required us to spend a small fortune updating and replacing network hardware(including our server) to fix the technical problems, but the problems were never fixed.

This is an add on feature, but does more to drag this archaic platform into this century than anything else. That said RO Writer functions as a great shop management system in 1999.

The system is well built and is VERY customizable so we can build it more to our everyday use. I like the fact that is integrates World Pac as that is our main parts source.

Very user friendly and great customer support- New user can use this software almost immediately without too many obstacles. Great  and almost seamless integration to QuickBooks.

The ease of creating repair orders and how the flow of the program operated, it is focused for the automotive repair world.

Sales Manager AC is great! showed us the new features for RO Writer and explained them to us. He has great Customer Service.

User friendly, easy to learn and a great layout overall. I love that we can two-way message clients, order parts and track our business success.

Its easy to use platform is wonderful for both in-house and customers.

The only con has nothing to do with Shopmonkey's software, only my lack of knowledge on Quickbooks.

Lastly, the great thing is that I didn't have to change my actual accounting program (quickbooks) because ShopMonkey integrates with it.

We are really happy with our overall experience and will continue to use shopmonkey to run our shop. Our business is small right now but we are aiming for big growth.

I like the ease of using the electronic repair orders and how it is linked right to my quickbooks and I can transfer the data to quikbooks in 1 simple click.

The Quickbooks Online integration was a mess causing accounting errors. Their reporting is very confusing and I was not easily able to track my shop's profitability.

Makes my invoicing 100 times easier. Having great customer service behind your side is like having someone right next to you if you need help.

Quick, accurate responses that save you time and money. Practical use is good, the ability to add canned services for commonly sold packages is great.

Also, has some really great features that I'm loving. Everything works seamlessly.

I've looked at the invoicing side and it looks well integrated. It is also fairly easy to train people that are not super computer savvy on this system which boosts efficiency.

Out of all the other programs for small businesses, this is the perfect one. Everyone is so sweet to you and treat you very nice.

If they have a question and i am busy they can just click the help button and either watch a video or ask the super friendly and helpful people in tech support.

What I like most about Shopmonkey is that it is very user friendly, it is full with options and has everything a shop needs in one.

Some features are missing that were available in ARC, system we used before. Namely around discounting and invoice templating.

I was impressed at the screen shots of the Graphical User Interface and jumped in the free trial.

Integrated communication with customers. Awesome support staff with usually no wait time.

We have the system integrated with Stripe and Quickbooks, so accepting payments and book keeping is competently taken care of.

More money captured through the automation of fees and shop supplies. Better time clock tracking for employees.

I feel that the members of support that I have dealt with genuinely want to help and care about me as a customer.

The customer service is OUTSTANDING. Within minutes I have an answer no matter how many questions I have a day.

While all other software's are stuck in there way and wont change anything, Shopmonkey is here to listen to there customers and continue to update the software almost every month.

I also like that they are always updating the software based on users needs and the customer support is amazing. They respond usually within 5 minutes.

Quick Easy and User friendly with a Awesome support team you couldn't ask for more.

If you were just to use Shopmonkey for scheduling and customer contact I feel it is worth the money.

Flaws with use of this software in Canada, ie nickel rounding on cash invoices. Penny rounding on most invoices is incorrect due to a rounding logic error.

Any time I have had problems with the program, (and other business problems), Shopmonkey has been there to help either online and in many cases over the phone.

I'm super satisfied and I recommend this software in lots of the auto technician forums that I'm a part of.
