Maxpanda Work Order Software


 

Maxpanda Work Order CMMS is a cloud-based solution that offers a suite of tools which includes integrated asset management, inventory management and preventive maintenance.

Property managers and facility directors can choose how they would like to track their assets in real time. Maintenance related costs flow directly into the accounting package and users are alerted of the updates through push notifications. Customers can submit requests through any web-accessible browser, ensuring that nothing slips through the cracks and requests are routed in a routine fashion. After a request has been submitted and approved by the Admin, it’s then converted to a work order where users are notified by email about the status.

The Maxpanda team provides additional services to their clients, such as 3rd party integration, conversion and client data uploads. They have flexible subscriptions so companies can purchase the amount of usage they need, with unlimited user roles for each account.

I learned they were a good option for online database\app creation.

Pros

The customer support was superb. It’s like they are waiting for you to contact them. The response time was very fast and their team is always ready to help out with any problem you have. Truly love GoMAX!, the mobile maintenance software that comes with the main app.

Cons

It is less user friendly than it could be. Plus if you want to customize anything you have to use the deluge language which isn't super common. The look of the app you build is a little dated.

Great mobile app (Android, iPhone, iPad). It's a great investment and a huge alternative to other management softwares. It meets the budget for software compared with other softwares. Pros

We love that we have many options to be able to filter different data and the ability to export in a variety of formats. Technical support has been useful so far on any questions we have had.The live training made it easy for our employees to get used to the software. It has also improved our company's productivity

Cons

Importantly, there's a max time lag (claimed time lag is 5 mins but is nearly never met) in order and inventory sync. Data errors are innumerable to make this reliable

They bring value with each new update. Even if you don't use some of the new features at times, it's nice to know they are constantly improving their product.

Cons

Interface needs a little bit improvement. Reconcilliation is the department that needs to be improved as all the channels are not included in this feature.

The interface could be better designed but it's not bad. I think the simplicity of the design is partly why it works so well but it could be a bit prettier.

Pros

I love that guests have their portal so they don’t an account to submit work order. This keeps the system neat and not chunked with so many user accounts. Maxpanda has all the standard functions needed to get started. It also allows you to customize fields and reports to suite your needs.

Pros

Nothing, they have horrible customer service and when we called to get help they wouldn't help us. They said they don't have access to our private information, so that meant they wouldn't cancel our trial even though I emailed and ask them too.

Cons

You can't cancel online, and when I emailed them and asked them to cancel they didn't. They still charged our credit card, and this went on for 2 months. I had to get my credit card company to block them. They quit answering our phone calls, and wouldn't respond back to us. These folks don't practice good business and I warn anyone from putting in there credit card information for the free trial.

The Best ... Work Order Management Software I have found

In doing research for a project I found MaxPanda after no less than 60 hours of searching over a period of a couple weeks. When I finally stumbled upon MaxPanda it was like a breath of fresh air. It's User Interface for my customers is top notch. Then when you dive into the program it's simple and straight forward design makes it easy to master and manipulate the data the way you want. I was looking at a very specific, almost customized software without having to build it all on my own. Max was not perfect, but they worked with me to find how to get the best product out the quickest. Overall I found most of the software that can be heavily cusomized is very dated. They are not cloud based. They make it difficult to get ahold of your data once you collect it, so if you want to create custom api charts it could be difficult. I found 3 or 4 programs that would work, but they looked like spread sheets, not smooth and fun.
So customer service is near instant. The company has been around long enough not to worry about them going out of business next month. The User interface is the best on the market. Then they give you 15 days free trial to kick the tires.

Likes Least

The only issue I had with the company boils down to lack of communication between myself and the team member I was handed off to once I started my trial. I was trying to do something different from the intended use of the software. Due to lack of communication, I was lead to believe this product would not work for me. After further communication, an update ended up being the difference between doing business with MaxPanda and not.
They did not update this product for me, they have a transparent list of future upgrades by the month. It had been in the works for awhile. Just the timing worked out for me and my project.

Recommendations

You have thousdands of apps to choose from for Work Order Managment. It just takes time researching your options. My biggest recommendatin is have a solid understanding of what you NEED, not what you want. Write it down, and compare all software to the needs. MaxPanda is a good one. From customer service, to price, to easy of use, to how to it looks better than anything else around. If this is in your top 3 to choose from, get the free trial. You will be up and running quicker with this than anything I looked at. Plus you don't have any cash outlays for startup.

System is easy to set up and use. The price is also very reasonable.

It is a bit difficult searching some specific assets without having to dig and dissect the data some. It does not have the ability to add non-generic tasks while updating a work order. The same goes for adding parts. Ideally there would be a better method of creating a "Project" that could hold multiple work orders within it, so that each WO could be completed with its own information such as invoices & hours. As it currently is, we have to combine different (possibly unassociated) invoices, time and tasks into a single work order, which makes the work order very messy, confusing and chaotic. For example the 'Project' might be "Remodel House" and the work orders associated with it might be "Replace Plumbing", "Paint Interior Walls", & "Install Kitchen Cabinets."

Recommendations

It is hard to say, it really depends on what they are wanting to accomplish and how much they want to spend.

I like the price and the flexibility to schedule work orders from first request to closure.

Likes Least

I do not feel that I can trust what is promoted to be accurate when it comes to updates and new features. I have been strung along for months with promises and missed deadlines.

Recommendations

Determine what your needs are first, and then research until you find a match. MaxPanda is very affordable and has a lot of good features, as do several other companies. At this price point, everyone is missing something; know what it is and what you cannot live without.

Our work orders and PM tasks don't slip between the "cracks". They may not get done, but they are still on the list.

Pros

We use the software just for the work orders and Pm tasks. It allows work order communication between all the maintenance employees.

Cons

There are many other functions that "clog" up the views, like payroll tracking and simple accounting function which should be tracked by other systems. These functions don't allow full integration between payroll systems and accounting so for us it would mean double entry and that's not worth the extra time it takes. I wish we could turn some of these items off. There is an inventory function which we would like to use but it doesn't work the way we need it to.

However, with the products continiuos development, we're finding more and more ways to get other (not typically cmms-related) business problems under control. Hats off to the development team. You deliver what you promise, and that's a rarity in today's age!

Pros

An incredibly powerful product wrapped in an easy-to-use GUI and tons of awesome (ongoing) updates!

Cons

The only downside is that we're in Southern Africa and the Maxpanda guys aren't in our timezone. This means that we have to wait a little (emphasis on 'little') longer to get helped. But when we do get their help, they are really amazing!

Great question: There multiple ways to review this data.

a) review the each work orders STATUS, all changes are time and date stamps.

b) generate SLA EXPORT report. This is a custom service level agreement report outlining all time stamps per work order.

Getting our camp maintenance process completely automated as we build the camp and grow has been very easy with Maxpanda.

Pros

Seamless transition of data between the web version and smart device app version. Color coded status of work orders makes it easy to keep track of what is going on with my maintenance tasks and projects and preventive maintenance.

Cons

There is a definite learning curve for someone that has never used a CMMS software platform and it's not always intuitive.

Communication is very easy and submitting work orders is usually very quick. Pulling reports and data is simple when you need to gather data for each department. You are able to see statistics on how well each department performs with their given tasks.

Cons

Software glitches often - when you go to input the location or building (settings may differ for others) but once you choose an option, it will disappear and you have to re-choose that option.

We use Max Panda, almost exclusively, for collecting, organizing and assigning work.

Pros

I like web platform. No huge data base to house and manage. The value for cost is great. I also like the ease of submitting and assigning a work order. The app is good too. I like to the ability to enter work orders from the field, right as i see the issues. I also appreciate that our field staff can view the work order almost as soon as it is approved.
Max Panda is very versatile and can do much more than I have time to implement.

Max Panda is very versatile and can do much more than I have time to implement. Although I can see the useful aspects of the modules, the inventory and parts management portions are not as user friendly for me and do not get used as they should.
I would like to be able to create invoices for work that we perform to send out to our customers.

Sometimes the work order is cancelled by the administrator and I don't seem to get feedback when that happens
