Excellent Sales Resource

PROS

Veritone gives my radio customers peace of mind knowing that they are able to track the impact of their campaign. One of the most common radio objections has always been "how do I track it," with Veritone I have a concrete answer to that question.

CONS

The learning curve is a bit steep. There are so many features that I still have to learn the ins and outs of.

BEST LOOKING ATTRIBUTION DASHBOARD

In today's marketing world, Attribution is king. Without Attribution you are not providing your clients or yourself with the proper information to ensure that the marketing dollars are counting. Veritone makes it easy for anyone to have the right information in an extremely presentable manner.

PROS

Veritone is simple to use. You have to pay attention to how the software is set up, but the data retrieved from it is priceless, and accurate.

CONS

It does not take much to throw the system off when setting up an account. If you make the mistake, do not waste time, contact customer service immediately. You will not catch your mistake.

Great in concept, frustrating in application

Overall, I've appreciated the communication from customer service. The turnaround time from other portions of the team is lacking, unfortunately.

PROS

In my world, attribution is vital. The Achilles Heel to nearly all broadcast media has been that. Being able to sit across the table from someone juggling a massive marketing budget and pushing them to our side of the fence with this software has made closing business that much easier. Especially in a world where digital dollars are eating out more and more of advertisers' spends. Knowing that we can even drill down to effective copy length, days and stations makes us and the buyer feel like we're making savvy, well-informed decisions instead of "well, I listen to this station so therefore everyone does" ones. We've been able to peel off a large amount of business from other stations with data like this.

CONS

Sadly, while all of the above make for great talking points, it is KILLING me how poorly the software matches up with our logs. I have always been fine allowing a margin for error as the 1's and 0's of the software tries to speak to multiple different programs, but when it's off by 50%+? That's wholly unacceptable. I used to think it was how I was setting the campaigns up, but I've walked through it with multiple people now and there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with it. Not to mention, often my ISCIs can't be found in the ad search. It's to the point where I just wait a couple weeks and send the logs off to customer service to have you do it for me. That obviously can't be worth your time, and it certainly isn't worth mine or my clients'. Until perhaps the last 6 months or so, I used Veritone almost daily, but until this is corrected, I simply can't put hours of my week into pressure testing my campaigns.

Level of Media Campaign Detail is spectatular

VERITONE makes my job so much easier. Being able to quantify to clients that "Radio Works!" is just a tremendous sales tool... in both client acquisition... and a great metric to encourage campaign renewal! Highly recommended!

PROS

I have worked exclusively with ATTRIBUTE, so no nothing about DISCOVERY. My company previously used another provider, but VERITONE's level of campaign detail is much more robust. Being able to see "First Time" client website is a huge difference (from the previous vendor) that my clients love. They also love the easy-to-read & colorful graphics. I like the ability to breakout the graph line by WEEK or MONTH too... and see associated analytics. Best of all, is being able to document that RADIO works! Clients often are dubious about broadcast media and "top of the funnel" marketing. But Veritone documents both the website lift in the 10 minutes after a commercial airs... and the overall lift when RADIO was added to the marketing mix. One of my clients saw 38% lift in that 10-minute window after a radio commercial... that feed into an overall lift of 140% since radio campaign launch.

CONS

It is somewhat difficult to learn Attribute use without a hands-on tutorial from a mentor. There is nothing on the platform itself that screams out a logical workflow or way to send out a client request for GA access... or shows you how to enter a new campaign. But once you learn the drill it quite easy. My biggest complaint about Veritone is the 'lag time' when you change the date range or other elements of the campaign. The "Still Processing" tag sometimes lingers for a very long time.

Veritone Feedback

I like Veritone for the most part. I just wish it was more intuitive and that you could use isics or had a better way of knowing what ran is correct because there are a lot of loose variables especially when you involve keywords and using phonetics. Some of the commercials can get lost. Also, it would be nice to have more books to choose from.

PROS

The Nielsen Impressions and Mentions are what I like most. I like that there is a breakdown of demographics with the Nielsen report to highlight who is listening to our stations. I appreciate the filtering system by programs so that we can narrow it down by stations. Also, mentions are great ways to check that we have found the correct keywords and to grab airchecks.

CONS

I think that there should be more accessible markets. Half the markets are not available. You can put them in by station but it is hard to see and select multiple station even when you widen it. The reports need to show more of the dates when you pull. You can click on it to see that they did pull more dates but in a pdf that doesn't help and it makes the client feel not all dates ran. Also, whenever you modify title you have to clone report because previous title will continue to be on report.

Veritone helps measure radio for attribution

Its been positive so far.

PROS

I love that I am able to provide a snap shot into my advertisers marketing campaign to show him how we can measure his Return and success. This also helps us tweak aspects along the way to help get to my advertisers goals. Its been a positive experience thus far.

CONS

Setting up this feature seems to be a hassle for many. Not sure where the disconnect is but many advertisers are hesitant to share the contact information of the person who handles their google analytics or websites. When the link is forwarded there are issues. And there are always questions and concern from my advertisers when they receive the link. I never received this much push back with the old leads RX software we used to use so Im not sure if there is wording in the email that alerts my advertisers to be weary but it just seems odd.

Veritone Review

PROS

Showing current client the web lift and being able to compare daypart and being able to show with data which station and creative is performing better has been huge for maintaining current business and renewing radio plans. Veritone also serves as a great selling point for advertisers new to radio who are nervous about not seeing a return on investment.

CONS

Client should be able to have their own access to the attribution page. It's inconvenient having to send daily screenshots to advertisers signed up for Veritone.

Veritone custom support has been great thru a few hurdles. Overall easy to use & show attribution.

PROS

TOp feature is new users and lift % for all connected clients. I love the turn key reporting too!

CONS

Consistency of pulling ALL names/spots so all campaigns are set up the same.

Veritone Attribute Software review

So far so good. There isn't much to complain for, particularly about this product.

PROS

Veritone attribution stage looks incredible, and isn't muddled to peruse by customers. The produced reports look phenomenal, and clean. No altering needed for the style.

CONS

Sometimes the instrument didnt't read complete radio promotions or GA in a correct manner. The help group assisted us with this load of issues yet I might want to utilize the instrument working perfectly well indeed.

Would be amazing with some improvements

Visibly pleasing. Like the availability of the info hover (giving methodology to each data point). Ability to compare web traffic is very useful.

CONS

Interface is too hard for AEs to use. FIRST VIEW should be overlay of spots + web traffic. Many people give up before they can find it.

Great When It works

When it works, it's great. Allows me to show web lift from our schedules.

PROS

I like the depth of the data that's available. I like that you can manipulate the reports to show data on a weekly and monthly basis rather than just daily.

CONS

The interface is clunky at best. It takes forever for data to load. Customer service is only available via chat, and because the chat window cannot be minimized during use which often obscures what we need to look at.

Essential Marketing Tool

I'm happy with the service.

PROS

Web attribution for radio using Veritone is one insight into how a campaign is performing. Where awareness marketing has historically been difficult to track, Veritone Attribute helps clarify campaign, station allocation, day parts and creative effectiveness. I also like the ease of pulling campaign performance reports.

CONS

Can be cumbersome to deploy because it depends on a clients access to Google Analytics. Typically, we can work around these issues. In some cases, it allows us the opportunity to setup Google Analytics for them which further positions us as a valued partner.

A measured look at broadcast

It helps showcase engagement in our audience and provides a new analytical report for clients that require it to make purchasing decisions.

PROS

In some aspects not all the content is captured initially that results in sending the content via Excel. Hour long show content isn't easily captured.

Very Useful for the Right Client

Attribute was useful in a couple of important campaigns. Particularly for assessing which creative drives traffic. It has been important to explain to our staff HOW to use the information gathered from Attribute and for which clients it makes sense.

PROS

The support features, both chat and the online guides, make the software easy to use and comprehend.

CONS

Setting up campaigns has been problematic. (Disconnections from our traffic system, inability to enter dates, browser issues, and clients not providing the correct access to their Google Analytics)

Attribution

Radio drives web traffic and organic search. It is an important part of the marketing mix.

PROS

Attribution reporting provides a valuable look in the effectiveness of radio for driving website traffic

CONS

Most attribution reports when first setting up have errors and require a message to a Veritone rep to look into and make adjustments so the reporting is accurate.
