Construction Partner is the best construction accounting software on the market!

If you are a contractor in need of a full package of accounting and job costing, I highly recommend using this software! You won't find better software for the price!

PROS

Job costing reporting is phenomenal. I can monitor my job profitability and implement controls when necessary. This has a direct impact on the bottom line of my business. The program capabilities are well beyond those of Quickbooks (which is the program I used before) Support and general maintenance is inexpensive and they have implemented changes to the software based on my needs. They truly listen to the needs of their users. I read a review that there is not an option to reprint invoices but there is an option in reporting for that. My accountant loves the reporting options and I easily get through my financial statement review/audit and any payroll related audits. Their support also understands accounting, not just software. That has been very helpful!

CONS

I honestly have no complaints! If I had to find something it would be the general use functions. I can't use my mouse as much as I can in other computer programs.

Software is just OK - the BIG Problem is Tech Support

The Software is basically an 'updated' version of DOS - there are a lot of things I think are ridiculous - like for instance - you cannot reprint an invoice. No seriously, if you lost/mis-place/ruined/whatever your invoice - you cannot go back and print another copy. You literally - have to void your invoice and re-invoice. If that isn't the Dumbest thing I've ever experienced, I don't know what is. Also, their so-called "Help" - is ridiculous... it's nearly impossible to find Any Help that you might need with their on-line help (F1 button) or even the Book - they force you to contact them (and charge you per hour with a 15 Minute Minimum charge - in order to figure out how to do something. AND THEN - the support you get is Sub-Standard - like they don't actually listen to what your asking for - and just throw some random crap at you - so of course, then you have to go back and ask again (meanwhile....like a taxi.....your charges just keep increasing and increasing....and you're just sitting at a red light....in traffic...).

PROS

I can easily upload my Certified Payroll into the DIR website - that's honestly the best thing about the program.

CONS

Their Technical Support is the ABSOLUTE WORST.... They are NOT Courteous - the DO NOT respond in a timely manner... and I find it rather Ironic that the ONLY contact number there is - is the support line - so you literally can't even call and let anyone know about the problem. I would NOT Recommend this product for this exactly reason - your software/company is only as good as the Service you Give.

PROS

The payroll module does a good job of handling multi-state payroll and certified payrolls

CONS

Can not have more than one window open at a time; very little drilldown capability; limited export capability to Excel. Job cost does not allow me to keep the original budget for a project. Whenever I get a change order and update the budget, the original is overridden.
