Seamless encryption for email that doesn't rely on trained users to use it

Excellent seamless email encryption that doesn't require a heavy training component to teach people when and how to use it.

PROS

I like the fact that it is always on, and I don't have to teach anyone how to encrypt emails, or when to encrypt emails.

CONS

I wish it had a feature to expire or recall an email that was sent by mistake.

Reasons for switching to Paubox Email Suite

Virtru was expensive, and required training to use.

Set IT & Forget It Encryption

With Paubox, we have been able to get our email encryption compliance to 100% with very minimal IT effort and no effort at all from the end-users. Using this system has eliminated many man-hours of looking through email logs to see if users were encrypting messages with PHI. Not having to dig through logs has made our weekly Compliance Meetings much more productive.

PROS

The Paubox solution is simple for the IT staff to administer, and it is completely transparent as far as the end-users are concerned. This solution is HITRUST certified, which makes our Compliance Officer very happy. :) We get a weekly report to show us how many emails are being processed through the system and quick insight into any issues.

CONS

The dashboard and reporting are very basic, but that could be because we only purchased the Encryption piece. Things might be different with the other modules installed. To be honest, there isn't much that I would change about this system. It is simple, and works well.

Reason for choosing Paubox Email Suite

We chose Paubox over ZixMail and Barracuda for the simplicity of the system. This system just works without relying on the end-user to perform some task.

Reasons for switching to Paubox Email Suite

The Barracuda SPAM Firewall had some built in logic to find PHI in e-mails, but it was never very successful. To address this, we setup keywords to trigger the encryption process. Unfortunately, this workaround means the end-user needs to remember to type in the keyword. When the recipient would get the e-mail, they had to log into a portal to retrieve the communication. If they replied, the response would be in a portal that we would have to log into to retrieve. This kept the encrypted messages out of our e-mail system and difficult to find/reference later on. Inbound e-mails through the Barracuda portal never made it to our E-mail archiving system.

Secure and HIPAA compliant email encryption

I am required to utilize HIPAA compliant communication for my mental health private practice and this service ensured compliance with end-to-end encryption.

PROS

The customer service was excellent during my free trial and the instructions for set-up were easy to follow, even with limited tech knowledge.

CONS

The primary downside was the cost associated with the email encryption service. It was too expensive for me as a single account user.

Love my Paubox!

Paubox has been invaluable for Trinity. We desperately needed HIPAA compliant e-mail and Paubox filled that void. Our initial team, [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN], we WONDERFUL! They were always available in help, pricing, and customer service.

PROS

When researching different HIPAA compliant software companies, we elected to go with Paubox, even though they weren't the least expensive. Two reasons mainly effected our decision. The first was it was not necessary to go through a third party (i.e. Secure Mail, etc) for our clients and residents to receive our e-mail. The second was the customer service and set-up. The set-up team was wonderful and continued that support through out the entire process from start to finish. We still have wonderful customer service reps.

CONS

Very little actually. As stated above, the team and ease more than make up for the few additional dollars we spend.

Reason for choosing Paubox Email Suite

Third party logins were not required and the ease of use for our residents and staff. The customer service was the bomb!!!

Excellent Technology!

It has been better than expected.

PROS

The best thing about Paubox has been the ease of deployment, the customer service team was very easy to work with, they are very knowledgable and willing to transfer knowledge to me and my staff. To continue, the ongoing support is great as well, they always follow up and ensure everything is correct before closing the ticket. They technology, or implementation of technology i think sets Paubox apart from the others. The nearly seamless implementation has been wonderful for users and our partners and customers alike.

CONS

Nothing really, Paubox has listened to our needs and has added, or began roadmapping additional features.

Reason for choosing Paubox Email Suite

Their billing model allowed for specific users, rather than "all users" which allowed me to control the cost.
