Bullhorn is a cloud-based applicant tracking and customer relationship management solution for small and midsize recruiting and staffing agencies. It offers email integrations, social media integration, reporting tools, mobile recruiting and passive activity tracking, and helps businesses manage contacts, track candidates, post job openings and fill open positions.

Bullhorn for Salesforce integrates with third-party email service providers such as Gmail and Outlook to send, receive and track communications. Users can view information about candidates from their inbox and access resumes, add notes, share details, create new tasks and schedule appointments. Bullhorn also integrates with LinkedIn Recruiter.

Bullhorn for Salesforce offers built-in reporting and analytics capabilities to help users track interactions with candidates. The configurable dashboard allows users to customize layout screens according to their preferences and helps to track business KPIs. Some of the additional features of Bullhorn are workflow management, job posting, mobile accessibility, social recruiting and data storage.

More likely to recommend this for beginners. The filtering is also one factor they should consider especially when highlighting the job titles and names.

Pros

Very easy to searcha nd track candidates. This is the one that I use and I can say, everything is very accessible.

Cons

The efficiency to display bill/pay rates can still be improved. I am also into personalizing my reports which is not in the options.

Cons

Companies typically are using a combination of collaboration tools that you will likely need to replace before cost justifying and even then may seem like a lot but it pays for itself.

It's gotta be one of the bests out there. With all of its excellent functionalities in a very clean design.

Pros

I like that I don't need to toggle back and forth between pages to be able to edit fields. They can be modified right on the list form.

Cons

I didn't encounter any issue using Bullhorn. Besides the occasional down times, I'm pretty pleased with it.

Just think about what else is out there before you go with them--it's hard to accommodate a growing business with this system, even if it is getting better.

Pros

I liked that over the years Bullhorn has improved their interface and made the system a bit more user-friendly. You can also add custom fields if needed to make the system work better.

Cons

I used Bullhorn when I worked at a Staffing agency, which is common, as it's their largest market. We made a ton of changes to the platform in the time that I was there and added a bunch of new features--but it was not easy to do this in a seamless, easy manner. It was not logical to all of a sudden change the reports that people had used for years, hire two full-time data migration specialists to clear out ancient contacts and stuff, all to have the notes be so buried that new staffing pros could not find them. I honestly hated having to use this system. If you tagged someone in a note you couldn't reference it later, the phone numbers couldn't hook up to our system, it was a mess.

I would create job postings with Bullhorn and share on LinkedIn to avoid the fees associated with posting using LinkedIn jobs. It was relatively straightforward.

Cons

The last attempt I made to use the platform, I noticed you could no longer create job postings for free. I didn't think it was worth it to pay for the services when I could just use Indeed for free.

It has a slick email integration which does help when replying to candidates and clients. Easy to see candidates.

Cons

Poor customer service
Over priced
Integration into the website is poor - takes an age for our jobs page to load up. Have given it to several different webdevelopers and all cite Bullhorn as being the issue.
Not really malleable unless you are willing to pay for it.

Cons

The pages reload frequently and you lose your work. Sometimes the back office software is down / slowed which hinders the time frame of getting payroll done.

Bullhorn opened up many doors for our recruiting department and helped leadership track metrics that were manual and insufficient in the past. I credit BH as a major component in getting our department up to today’s standards and being able to effectively compete in an industry where any technological failure or oversight can be make or break.

Pros

Bullhorn designers took everything they could imagine recruiting teams needing in a tool and threw it together with the kitchen sink.
In terms of features and functionality bullhorn supplies it all for recruiters, account managers, and talent acquisition leadership alike.

Cons

Sometimes it feels overly complex and time consuming to use and find the features you are seeking. However, they are all there and then some. As I’ve used BH for a few months, I started to become more familiar with its UI and it has grown easier for me.
Often times I experienced issues with the LinkedIn integration tool where it’s capabilities would fail.

I have used Bullhorn for 2 years in my previous company and had good experience with it. It reduces the effort of manually entering details of the applicants, resume parsing feature is pretty cool. Email integrations are effective and easy which makes easier to communicate with the applicants. Job posting to social media and job boards are pretty simple and easy. I still recommend this to others.

Cons

I think pricing is on a higher end. Other than that I think its really a good ATS.
