One of their competitors has some nice offerings, but we found that they were mostly for larger companies with more employees than we have. Gusto seemed a perfect fit for our size and our budget.

The simplicity and ease of setting it up and using everyday is a big plus. The detailed instructions and guides about state laws is fantastic.

The UX is super easy to work with and setting up the software is very pleasant. Our employees also like the emails they receive.

The best part I like about Gusto is that employee on-boarding is super easy and all back-office work is done by Gusto such as filing reports, etc.

The product is perfect and easy to use for those who are busy but want to eat and maintain a fun, healthy life. The quality of product and their effect to be environmentally friendly is awesome.

The problems continued into this year - anytime I had a problem, it consistently took waaaaaay to much time to get a response from someone who could actually fix my problem.

The Video quality is sometimes poor and any interruption like phone calls etc disrupt the proper functioning of the software.

I have had a few connectivity issues. I think it can be hard for candidates to get used to the video interview idea.

This is as best as it comes as an alternate to face to face interviewing. We can record the questions for which we need answers and send it to the candidate using HireVue.

I liked that the application walks you through the process of set up and makes you feel comfortable with the format.

Not sure if its due to the lack of my knowledge, however cannot set the exact day/times for each candidates video interview to be completed.

The note taking on the platform is confusing for reviewers.

It is very easy to use - both on the employer (interviewer) end and the employee (interviewee) end. Also, HireVue's customer service is excellent.

I had to do my video Interview with Delta again do to tech difficulties because the software didn't go well with my phone.

The software was easy to install on my phone or computer. Customer service is great for helping with tech difficulties.

The ability to have a template and send out invitations for video interviews quite seamlessly.

It was very easy to use, they have a great UI/UX and they are always trying new things.

Overall I think it is a great tool for video interviewing. If you are looking for a solid software and company that has been around for a while in this space, HireVue is a good option.

HireVue is a cloud-based Human Resource Management *HRM) solution that helps businesses functionality to conduct video interviews with candidates. The solution allows job candidates to complete interview questions via an online video interface.


HireVue allows recruiters to curate specific interview questions for each open role, and when a promising candidate applies, recruiters can then send these questions to the applicant. The applicant then records his or her answers using HireVue and sends their responses back to the recruiter, which are then reviewed by them.


In addition to facilitating video interviews, HireVue also serves as an applicant tracking system (ATS), where recruiters can track where applicants are in the hiring process and correspondence they have had with each candidate.
