PCRecruiter is a cloud-based tracking and recruiting solution for Human Resources departments across a range of business verticals, including staffing agencies, PEOs, maintenance and property management. PCRecruiter houses a comprehensive solution for contact management and applicant flow in a central hub. It offers tools to manage requisition submittal, on-line job inquiries and hire logging to customizable candidate assessments and surveys.

Key features include bulk emailing, resume parsing, diversity tracking and document storage. Its Applicant Pipeline feature provides a drag and drop interface that allows moving applicants seamlessly from one stage to the next, automatically following up with form letters and keeping a complete history. The Manager Portal allows for position entry and hiring process monitoring, with email-based requisition approval and customizable templates.

It offers a variety of customizable, searchable forms and lists for data collection with boolean searching to help locate keywords in all documents such as resumes, applications, job descriptions and applicant profiles.

The solution is capable of integrating with Microsoft Outlook, allowing users to access their existing schedules, contacts and emails.

Pros

When searching for job-specific candidates you have the option to search keywords. This option saves you the time of looking through candidates that do not have the qualifications you are looking for.

Cons

Linking candidates to jobs could be a little easier. It seems as if there are too many steps to link candidates to jobs.

Honestly, this product is stable and consistent, just not real flashy. I think for the right firm PCR can be the right solution but we felt our needs outgrew the product's capability.

Pros

PC Recruiter is very easy to use. Quick ramp for new Recruiters with very basic tools, reports, etc.

Cons

As easy as the product was to use, we found that PC Recruiter didn't integrate with our HRIS, ADP which became a show-stopper for us.

A great less expensive option for high volume recruiting

Setting up a system like this is always difficult. We found that, with the exception of some custom forms that weren't completed to spec, this system was easy to setup and nice to use.

Pros

Once PCRecruiter is setup, it is easy to use. It has many great features, like a memory of what you accessed last, so you don't have to remember which candidates you were working with. If you use the integration with Outlook, most recruiters won't have to use a separate browser. The ability to write custom SQL queries and the smart merge capability of the import process are also very nice.

Cons

The interface is a little dated. I believe they are working on updates though.
If you hire them to create custom forms or applications, it feels like you get a contractor who may not know what they should. Their other support staff are great though.
The in program email system could use some work. Setting the system up to pass through Office365 exchange servers with a generic email account, didn't work out. We ended up spinning our own exchange server to handle it.

Pros

The best feature is having social media tools like LinkedIn Chrome feed and job boards integrated in this software.able to view a bulk of activities & interviews at a time. Nice time savings feature.The team at PC Recruiter have been extremely responsive to our needs and have been there every step of the way as we configure and deliver their system.

Cons

It lacks in intuitive ease. Navigation is a very tricky and sometimes not as intuitive as we would like. There are some short cuts that appear to be missing. The scheduling of follow-ups is not up to standard and does not interface with Outlook well

Pros

We really liked that we would lose nothing when converting from our old software. It has more functionality than any software any of us has seen. There is a way to virtually do anything recruiting wise.

Cons

The screens are packed with data...so much so that it makes it difficult to find what you need. It is not the most intuitive. Finally, it is overwhelming to figure out and it is tough to acclimate new people to the system so it would slow any new people ability to be successful in the short term.

The Help Center is very convenient as well. Love the two minute tutorials. This system is going to be great once we get everything customized exactly how we need it.

PCRecruiter has more useful features, such as the LinkedIn parsing feature with pics, than enterprise versions of large ATS products like Taleo. You can keep all your business in one place, including contractors. Interfaces with Quickbooks, but not the online version.

Pros

Support team-can make changes or additions to software fairly quickly; customizable; parses from LinkedIn, including picture; cloud-based; can do everything.

Cons

It has so much available that it takes time to learn it well. Not much color on the GUI, but still looks nice.

Overall the Pros outweigh the cons and for a small business like ours, PC Recruiter meets our needs allowing us to spend more time doing the work we should be doing.

Pros

It has all of the features that we are looking for in an applicant tracking/CRM system. The customer service rep that was assigned to do our training was excellent. She spent all the time we need and followed up quickly on open items. The cost is also very affordable.

Cons

Navigation is a bit tricky and sometimes not as intuitive as we would like. There are some short cuts that appear to be missing. We do much of our work from roll-ups but it does not appear that everything can be done from the roll-ups which requires us going out to a function we want. The scheduling of follow-ups is not up to standard and does not interface with Outlook well.

Very responsive and able to get us started in a short amount of time. The software is very user friendly and easy to understand.

Cons

We had expressed interest in having an automatic posting to external sources like we had with our previous ATS. We were told they partnered with LogicMelon for that and it was supposed to be affordable. After getting a demo, we found out it was double the cost of the ATS, so it is unfortunately not an option for us. That means manual posting to multiple sites which is very time consuming.

The product isn't overly expensive and has everything you need with regards to tracking, reporting and connectivity. But you need to know the "ins" and "outs" to navigate effectively and efficiently. In today's world, most ATS's can be used with little or no training. Not the case here. We are opting to change directions after about 6 months of fumbling around with PCR.

My organization is an RPO company in which we engage multiple clients. In most of these engagements, we bring an ATS solution. We use PC Recruiter as our primary system. We have worked with the team from PC Recruiter for almost a year now and have had great success with their ATS. Overall we are very satisfied with the functionality and features of the system.

Pros

The greatest "Pro" that I can point to is the team at PC Recruiter. They have been extremely responsive to our needs and have been there every step of the way as we configure and deliver their system. They have also been very willing to receive feedback and develop upgrades that have been "game changers" for the way we work. The Customer Service team is fantastic. Very knowledgeable and timely in their responses.

Cons

Some of the system terminology and field names are confusing. The system is not overly intuitive. There is a bit of a learning curve if you want to leverage all of the bells and whistles that PCR has, but the Customer Service team is very helpful in helping you in your education.

I have used the biggest and most popular ATS systems in over 10 years as a corporate recruiter in Fortune 500 environments. Now that I am an independent headhunter, I am amazed at how much value and features you can get out of a smaller ATS like PCRecruiter. Some of these include being able to upload information and profile pictures in a few quick steps.

The most amazing thing about PCR is the tech support. You can call and get an immediate resolution to almost any issue. If it can't be resolved right away they make a point to get it done in the matter of hours, not days and weeks.

Lastly, the price is right!

Cons

There is not much I don't like as the software is very user-friendly. About the only thing is being able to change the color scheme.

Hello Lara - One of PCR's strongest features is actually the ability to customize the fields, screen layouts, and functions to suit. This does, however, sometimes lead to more involved training because every setup is a bit different and each client uses their own fields and layouts rather than a required stock workflow.

I'd recommend reaching out to our support team with details on your personalization and change needs. It may be that the options you're seeking are actually there, but just not visible under your particular security settings or not exactly where you're looking for them in the system. PCR is perhaps one of the most configurable recruiting CRMs available, so if you're finding it coming up short on customization we may be able to help further.

It is a huge timesaver and is very intuitive.

Pros

There are so many features it's hard to pick a few. Being able to add directly from LinkedIn including the picture is a life saver. I use Ring Central and being able to see the caller and the profile open automatically saves time and embarrassment of not knowing the person that is calling. Also, the tech support people are more helpful than any other team I've seen.

Cons

I wish the user interface was able to be customized for colors. It is a bit drab. Other than that there is nothing else I would call poor.

I like the integration and all the features, from recruiting, database, sales, the ability to manage and drive the whole process in one place that makes it very useful to upload information and communicate and track all processes from the client to the applicant, recruiting, sales and it is flexible to be able to support any discipline or industry.

Cons

It takes a little while to get used to the system and to learn all the different modules.. it's very robust. Saying that, the support team and training team are very responsive and help so much when I need to learn something knew or if I have support issue it has been resolved quickly 100% of the time. Then entire company that I have spoken with or needed their help has always been responsive and very friendly and easy to work with.

I live on PCR. It's my job. Don't know what I would do with out it.

Pros

Customizeability (Is that a word)? You can customize the software pretty easily. For instance I have a field where I can tag someone a "walking placement". Then I can search a city for all of those that I tagged with that term. There is so much you can do.

Cons

I am concerned that support for 8 will go away. I've been using the old school version for over a decade and I don't want to learn 9. If I have to I guess I will but would rather keep it old school.

It really serves all our needs, and then some. Most internal HR departments fail on the Candidate experience and on being disciplined in consistently applying recruitment processes. PCR allows you to focus less on the tool (its intuitive and reliable) and more on the recruitment processes..... which is where the true value is.

This software has allowed me to keep track of recruitment processes in a very organized and simple way. There are so many helpful features, and the potential this program has is incredible. It's just a matter of digging and practicing.

Pros

This software is quite dynamic and has a lot of features that exponentially facilitate recruitment processes. All in all, this program is easy to utilize and manage.

Cons

Lack of complimentary educational resources, such as webinars. Also the scarcity of video tutorials. There are plenty of written instructions and online help. However, for visual learners, video content would be very helpful. It's unfortunate that in order to receive visual training is so costly. "Two Minute Tuesday" videos are helpful, but the variety of topics explored is limited.

It is very helpful

Pros

This is one of the easiest ATS system I have used before.. I like how it is easy to upload candidates and companies

Cons

The only think I do not like is it is not very flexible for the Mac Users, I have a Mac computer and I cannot integrate it with my Microsoft office email, I have to use the email in PC Recruiter to get candidates who apply

PCR can be customized to do just about anything you might need. It integrates well with LinkedIn through PCR Capture.

Cons

The online instruction tool is not as detailed as it was in previous versions--you can't always find the answer to your question on basic things like formatting reports online.

Tie in's to LinkedIn, Ring Central, Resume Inhaler.

Cons

I've found it very hard to delete Industry Codes that were automatically part of the PCRecruiter Default without doing it one by one. Unfortunately, there are 987 codes and it's taking me way too long. I need to call, because it's probably my mistake; there has to be an easier way that I don't know about.

It's a great time saver.

Pros

The recent update has addressed prior issues with duplicate entries and the software is a great asset if you're trying to build out your database.

Cons

Select company from PCR Database still seems to have issues populating, although I'm not sure if that's an issue with the software itself or the way it is configured in my office.

Pros

Rich and deep in functionality that allows the user to use the product on their terms. Frequent updates and very stable since the product has longevity. Outlook and social integration good.

Cons

Could use a more robust mobile experience. Could also be a bit more intuitive in navigation and setup with the ability to create and post a note to several records automatically.

The Capture tool is excellent. I really like how you can get into a nice rhythm and import contacts as you view their records.

Cons

It can lag a bit. I also do not like that when I capture someone's information, I then have to search for that person in PCR to open their record.
