Software works great, but the limitation of having to close books right away can cause problems.
Good for small Company that closes accounting books quickly. Easy to use and modify the transactions to post wherever you want them to post. We currently use it and post everything to QuickBooks and the interaction is seamless.
does not allow accrual or post dating transactions. This can be a limitation as you MUST close your books before continuing on with current month transactions.

This is bargain basement software. While it may do the minimum of what you require, that's probably all it will do.
It's got a simple interface
It does an adequate job of keeping track of inventory and keeping track of sales orders
Not a lot of customization possible and simple common-sense features are missing. For example if you see a transaction ID/Sales Order etc on one window, you cannot click through to get to the details, you have to open a new (specific window) and copy/paste the information you want to see the details of.
Basic functionality is just not there

Majorly used for to assemble to manufacture. It is very useful with flexible batch processing, part production and production planning.
It needs proper training to start with and the basic knowledge about manufacturing orders and standard reporting orders.

The "full version" (as per the reseller) of the product will accomplish most of what you'll need. However, like most ERPs, it really depends on the quality of the implementation. EXACT appeared to have everything from the basics all the way to shop floor control. The demo which we were shown appeared to be able to accomplish most of what we needed, however we were unclear of the cost and were unclear as to whether we were being shown an customized or out-of-the-box solution
Very tough to navigate through without proper training and support. The product was semi-functional after a sizable investment however there always seemed to be an excuse as to why things didn't work as what we were sold on. It seems like any minor customization which would have otherwise been an out-of-the-box feature with most ERPs would cost an arm and a leg.
Always create a mini-RFP outlining exactly what it is your company is trying to accomplish. Chances are if the vendor has an out-of-the-box proven solution for your needs, then you are in good hands. If the software reseller claims anything can be done with a "bit of customization", you could be in for a world of hurt. Do not go off of what you see in a Demo!
