Causecast Failure

The Michigan based company I work for recent transition to Causecast has caused a great deal of frustration and heart burn for the users. Causecast is not successful in managing, efficiency, nor following through on time.

PROS

On Line database, easy chat sessions, chat support seems informed. There is a data base menu that appears to have all 501C3 organizations locally and nationally. The company works to tailor the product

CONS

Not managed successfully or on a timely basis delivering quality product, Grant approvals, updates on pending grant applications. Not user friendly, menu options are difficult to decipher when submitting grant applications, viewing or even finding status of grant applications submitted. Grant applications submitted are jumbled together and not able to break them down by month or year but they are chronological. There is absolutely no notification when a Grant has been paid out nor is there any confirmation documentation. Grant Applications are not processed according to the customer's quarterly schedule. When issues need escalation, nothing seems to happen.

A Pain for Nonprofits

I am volunteer coordinator for a medium-sized nonprofit. We post volunteer openings on CauseCast so that some of our volunteers can take advantage of their company's matching gifts/paid volunteer hours. However, from the nonprofit side, the system is a huge pain. The fields you must fill out don't fit our needs (for example, there is no way to show a weekly recurring volunteer need other than by typing it in to the description) and the fields have no explanation (why is there a list of 300 city names I must choose from, and my city isn't listed??). Plus, I recently tried to remove listings that are no longer needs, and CauseCast will not let me unpublish or delete them - it just shows an error message with no further explanation. There is absolutely no customer support for me as a nonprofit - not even an email address for support. There have to be volunteer platforms better than this!

CONS

No customer support for nonprofits. Unwieldy platform that is not intuitive.
