Great App to use, my customers love it!

It makes my Gym unique in my area, We are the only ones that have an app available for our customers!

PROS

I only needed a platform to do meal plans and exercise plans without all the other add-on's that cost a lot of money from other developers. Simple and easy, especially if you are just a start-up business that wants the bells and whistles without breaking the bank.

CONS

If the developers would provide quality video's from the FitSW crew it would look more professional. I would also hire attractive model's for the video shoots as people can be quite shallow in that regard and love looking at pretty things! :) The videos from FitSW crew is within the perfect time frame (20 - 40 seconds) which is perfect for me, as I don't want to waste my clients time on the floor. The other video links from other youtubers is too long, I often replace them with shorter videos. Don't ever take away the functionality of replacing the link with your own, there is a lot of exercises out there like Pilates exercises that I like to add to my exercise program. This is such a fantastic feauture to your product and one of the reasons I am using it.

Functions but us it’s bugs and glitches

It is adequate. I seriously debated switching about a month/month and a half ago because I was so frustrated with glitches, but I’ve invested a ton of time making workouts and linking YouTube videos to exercises not in the library so I keep it because I don’t want to start from scratch. Recently they did finally fix a few glitches and even added a favorites workout at the bottom of the workout page making it much more accessible but it does still have issues.

PROS

I like the exercise library. I like that I can add my own exercises to my library. I like that I can save favorite workouts to reuse with different clients

CONS

It glitches all of the time. For a while my favorite workouts were not available. Also for a time I was unable to scroll to the bottom of my clients or my workouts or something. Both of those problems finally were fixed but it took multiple emails to get resolved. Currently it shuts down every time I try to add a picture of an exercise directly from my camera. I have to take it on my phone first, then pick it from my photos. It also occasionally loses exercises or videos I’ve attached to exercises I’ve entered. So the exercise will show up in a saved workout but no video link appears anymore, and if I search for the exercise to add to another workout it isn’t there. This is an inconsistent problem. Only happens sometimes with some exercises. But it is annoying to have to go back and find a video and relink it.

Reason for choosing FitSW

I believe I liked the exercise library better. Trainer fu was nicer in that it let you see the clients view and the trainers view but the library won me over.

Vendor Response

Thank you for the feedback. We have released a new version last week where, you can now take a picture of an exercise directly from your camera and will not experience any issues. We have also fixed the issue where the exercise list was not being updated immediately so all that will now work. Let us know if you have any other issues and we will fix asap at support@fitsw.com

Several glitches in the software, but it works for what I need it to do.

It's nice having all of my client data in one place.

PROS

I like the ability to create super-sets and to create end dates on how many times to repeat a workout for my online clients. I also like that there is a link to demo videos for my clients to use. They've all found that helpful. It's also nice that it emails the workouts to my clients immediately. It's one less step I have to take.

CONS

It would be nice to be able to add your own exercises. For example: there isn't an option for KB Swings in the list. That's a pretty common exercise. I have to find something as close as possible, then add notes about what I actually want. The software has frozen up on me multiple times in the process of creating workouts. I also don't like that I can't access the any info unless I'm connected to WiFi.

Vendor Response

Hi Danielle, We just released a release yesterday that resolves a few glitches that were recently reported. Please give it a try and email us if you have any issues - we will fix immediately. Also, you can easily add your own exercise and have been able to in previous versions as well. All you need to do is go to your exercise list and click the "Add Exercise" button. Thank you for your feedback and for using FitSW. Jessica

Very Intuitive Software helpful for my Training Progress

I am very pleased with this software. I like that I can access it through an app on my phone. Even though I have an android and my trainer has an iPhone, they both work together well.

PROS

I am a client and this software really helps me stay connected with my trainer and on track. I like that he can easily deliver workouts to me and I get notifications when I have a new workout.

CONS

None found yet...I am looking forward to trying the meal-plan feature but I haven't looked at it yet and don't know yet how to log my own foods. So a tutorial on that would be nice.
