Great addon for secrets management in pipelines.
I use vault for secrets management Jenkins pipelines which was really easy to setup and test retrieval with the vault plugin. We can separate secrets in different directories and add RBAC so admins can only read
CONSWill like to have a Hashicorp plugin in the Azure DevOps marketplace for easier integration.
Reasons for switching to Vault
Easier integration with Terraform

Vault - A Secret Management Tool
Vault is definitely a great tool for secret storage. It helps me alot to store the credentials of many repositories from Bitbucket. It solves my problem of keeping the useful secrets safe also vault provide a good feature to retrieve the secrets which are already stored in vault.
PROSFirst of all it's easy to use, and it integrates with several applications like Bitbucket(source code management),GitHub,Jenkins etc. One can use vault to store credentials, auths, tokens, certificates..Vault provide a secure environment to the credentials and there is no chances of hacking.Best secret management tool.
CONSThere is no such disadvantage/dislike for Vault. I personally feel setup is little bit difficult for vault. Also the UI could be better.Else everything is good!!

Industry standard vault for secrets storage and management
My experience are both setup a Vault solution and storage and consume between system and user, intragrate with clouds for OIDC SSO.
PROSHas both API, terminal and UI acces, is easy to setup in every cloud as product and on-premise, license is still admisible and is easy to build and integrate with products and DevOps tools.
CONSIts backup can ba a bit simpler, it think is overcomplicated.
Reason for choosing Vault
Industry standard and you have a lot of professionals who know or have worked with.

A Good tool to secure the sensitive data
Since applications have credentials, certificates etc that are spread across the organizations and since these are in plain text which makes an application vulnerable to attacks. For this purpose, HashiCorp Vault is used in order to secure the credentials and other sensitive data. It can be used to authenticate a user either via passwords or some dynamic configuration that would generate the tokens which are temporary and these tokens can be used to access the resource.
PROSEasy to use and configureProvides encryption for storing Sensitive data like passwords, certificates etc
CONSNo dislikes as such since it is powerful tool to keep the sensitive data

Vault for Secrets Management
Vault is a key part of a company's secret management. Without it we would have to pay for a managed service by a cloud provider.
PROSVault is a quick and easy way to securely store secrets for access by multiple users/teams. It provides a service which is highly configurable and open source.
CONSAs Vault is a key-value store masked as a file-traverser, it can sometimes be unclear in which directory a secret is stored.

Vault Review
Overall, I would recommend Vault as a secret management solution due to its security and simplicity.
PROSVault puts security first, which is very important to me. Also, I like that you can operate Vault using GUI or CLI.
CONSI enjoy using Vault however at first it can be difficult to configure to you preferences.

hashicorp vault - protect your secrets
my overall experience is very good till now.
PROSi like the secrets replication feature it has with cloud providers ensuring security best practices.
CONSi don’t like the learning curve it takes to become habituated to using vault for devops engineers.
Reasons for switching to Vault
because of improved security features.
