Pros

I think it is easy to use and offers a lot of options for you to make your settings to what fits you best.

Cons

I would like the notifications to work a little better when using the software from my phone. Sometimes my alerts don't go off.

Before using Glip, it was difficult to send messages and communicate across the company. Sure we had email and text messages, but there was no central hub for us as means to communicate. Emails get over flooded with important and unimportant emails, this software has been useful and I would recommend it to small sized businesses.

Pros

This software is really good to follow up with employees after given a particular task
You can make groups, add attachments and set up a reminder to follow up
Includes collaborative document editing, a team calendar, and PDF markup tools.

Cons

Honestly, I have been using glip on a daily basis since 1 year and have not come across any negatives for this software. They could definitely work on expanding the features

There are so many communication tools. But this system is built by communication (phone application) company, therefore it is a very comprehensive system.

Pros

If you have RingCentral, Glip comes with it. It is integrated with phone application. So communication is seamless.

Cons

It doesn't have file storing function (as far as I know). I can attach files but it is not ideal to keep files in Glip.

Does not allow you to search tasks which would help when trying to track down previous tasks or tasks
that were assigned awhile back.

It's free when you have RingCentral!

Pros

Easily communicate from anywhere. Works well on Mac and iPhone. So many integrated features that it'll work well for any company. To-Dos, keep track of shared documents, fun communication.

Cons

As the admin, you can't delete employees out of teams/conversations. Which means you have to start new groups when employees leave the company. Hard to edit teams even as Admin.

Overall the software has saved us tons in time and money being able to manage the different teams all in one place and easily communicate.

Pros

Easy to collaborate with a team AND keep all of my organizational and plans up to date, sharing them only with those who need access to collaborate. Very easy to organize as well. And very easy to communicate with other members of the organization.

Cons

I wish the calendar had the ability to have things recure based on the #th day of the month or by the #rd day of the week of the month, having more control over the frequency.

I also think they could make it more user friendly in terms of keeping files and such organized

Great software and it can be used for free for smaller businesses.

Pros

Tasking - Not only for yourself, but you can assign tasks to co-workers and co-worker groups.
Tons of integrations
Instant Message/Chat/ Texting style of communication between co-workers or clients. You can collaborate
a team quickly and keep everything organized and it's as easy as texting!

Cons

Doesn't integrate with Hubspot, but does with Salesforce.
Really the only downside is trying to get all my co-workers to use Glip.

Overall great software

Pros

Glip has allowed me to keep my virtual and in-house team connected at all times. We have the ability to manage different teams, have different conversations about projects and subjects. I love how organized it allows you to be. We have an app so no one ever miss out on any important notes.

Cons

We would like the ability to temporarily block agents to logging into glip without removing them as a user. Also we would like the ability to restrict some employees from downloading the app as sensitive information are shared on Glip.

Glip has transformed our team communication efforts. I no longer worry if a task is going to be completed on time or forgotten. WIth Glip, we are able to stay organized and communicate more effencently. It has met our needs well.

Pros

Glip has allowed my marketing team to work and communicate more efficiently. We market 40+ events annually, and Glip has allowed us to organize each event marketing plan, assign team-specific tasks, and upload documents with ease so that everyone on the team is informed. The organization and task management capabiliites of this software has been one of the best communications tools that we have ever used as a department.

Cons

The task assignment feature has been vital to our team, but it does not have the option of changing the task progress. Tasks can only be listed as incomplete or complete. I would love to have the capability, to change a task status to options like: working, pending approval, assistance needed, etc. so that our team can know what tasks others are struggling with or at what stage a task might be in.

Probably one of the best business chat software's we have used. It's integration with the RingCentral phone system makes this app a winner. From setting up different teams for different projects or departments to the mobile app I love almost everything about this tool.

Cons

I said almost everything earlier, giphy. While I love gif's and they can be hilarious, in the work environment sometimes they can get out of control. I'm pretty sure we have at least 2 channels that are nothing but gif conversations. While personally I find this awesome, professionally it can be very distracting.

In spite of being a long time Slack user, I decided to give Glip a try internally since our company was already leveraging Ring Central for VoIP and Meetings. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that no core feature sets were lacking and to find a couple of extras that were missing in Slack. The most useful of those extras has been task assignment/management.

Cons

In a perfect world the Google Calendar integration would be a bit more robust and flexible, but I'm fairly certain that's on Google anyway.

Our day to day processes has been fast-tracked by Glip.

Pros

At first, Glip was a new concept for us, but know. Well being able to jointly work on projects and files as a team without having to save and email then wait around for a reply, it is a no-brainer. The live text message is a perfect companion and is a wonderful tool. being able to screen share for trianing or just simple things like click here do this. has saved us countless cals and questions.

Cons

Cons are a tuff one the learning/just use it curve was on our end. Sometimes using something new is a tough thing to do, but once you do you ask yourself why didn't I do this sooner. That is the case with Glip. Just use it, you will be happy you did.

Pros

I like how easy this software is to use and how it has changed the way we communicate in the office. Emails can get cluttered and missed, but Glip allows you to quickly get your message across to the team in a fun way. If issues are going on, or if we need to meet, Glip makes it super easy to communicate that to the team. It is instant messaging in today's world. We can even quickly share websites, attachments, and is mobile friendly.

Cons

It would be nice to have notifications come up if a meeting is organized, similar to a calendar invite through Outlook.

It's a free communications tool; but there are others that do much more and do it better. Also has no linux integration.

Pros

It's free with our RingCentral contract. Seems to be light on system resources and isn't a required download.

Cons

It's integrated into all of RingCentral's products but there are many other solutions out there that do the same even better (some of which are also free). Has no way to disable those integrations so users often have to ask what it is and why it's proliferated.

Pros

Glip is very intuitive and easy to use. It allows quick, instant messaging throughout the company. You can create teams or talk 1 on 1. You can also incorporate notes, tasks, events, and files in your conversation, storing them all in a convenient "shelf" making it very easy to find that document you may have shared and lost once upon a time. We also LOVE the gif keyboard, makes company communications way more fun.

Cons

The software tends to crash or glitch every so often. It can be a little slow upon start-up, but that does not happen too frequently. Sometimes the notifications can be inconsistent or continue to pop up even if you have them turned off, but that is not too bothersome.

It's extremely innovative and offers a number of new and exciting features as well as an overall experience that it unrivalled by anything else on the market. It's also free with RingCentral, making it an even more enticing option.

Cons

There is a small yet very noticeable bug in Glip regarding the percentage completion of tasks, where Glip will report, for example, 20% of 40% being completed, even though it's actually just 20% more of the task being completed compared to before.

I don't see Glip replacing Slack for companies that currently use Slack. The free version of Slack has more features and a lot more plugins. There really is no current compelling feature of Glip over Slack. There also isn't any true integration into RingCentral phones system out side of a button to open Glip.

It has helped our team improve our workflow and productivity, would recommend to any agency which works on various different tasks in different areas.

Pros

It has made day to day task logging, accountability and organisation improve in our department and given it's an add on with our RingCentral package, it also acts as a handy communication tool too. It has all the features you would need to help improve the productivity of your team.

Cons

Only one annoyance is how it displays the completed percentages of tasks - but that's very minor as doesn't effect the end output of the product.
