They help us when we need them. We are able to handle our day to day and provide a great service for our clients when our clients need and want an appointment.

PROS

It helps me run my business without having to respond to every phone call received. My clients who use it say it's easy to use. Very self explanatory for the customer and consumer. You are able to set a cancellation fee and no call no show fee. The marketplace is cool even the split on first time clients is responsible. I will continue to use booksy as my appointment setting app."

CONS

The only thing I didn't like was how long it took for me to get use to the app. Which was my third appointment app and is hands down still the best.

Hairstylist Best Assistant

Booksy has truly helped me with keeping up with my appointments. My clients are able to book faster. I can add new services and specials. I love all the FREE marketing tools that are used to help stylist.

PROS

The price, amazing customer support, user friendly, easy to use, all features are helpful for anyone owning a business.

CONS

In the beginning they didn't offered a payment option but now they do. I want them to work on it alil more.

Over Charged My Bank Account

AWFUL!!!! This app has overcharged my bank account several times. I have tried to contact them several times and they will not get back with me. I have emailed them, called them and no response. I have been very patient. Still no response. Not even the [SENSITIVE CONTENT] will respond to me. Just shows the business ethic on their end and the lack of compassion towards the hairdressers that pay them to have their service. We as hairdressers are extremely busy. They billed me on the third of this month and then again on the 11th for $29. They also charged me $29 for messaging which I opted out of when I first got the app but they charged me anyway. So BEWARE OF THIS APP AND THE CHARGES! I have tried to erase my bank information and all other personal information, it will not let me erase my information. So now I have to call the bank and change bank cards. This is a HIGE HASSLE when I tried to be patient and nice about this on going issue for MONTHS! When you call you get blown off to the app chat line or asked to email them! COWARDS if you ask me!! Quick to take your money but hide when they make a mistake in taking too much mistakenly!

Gain and Retain is the name of the game!

PROS

This is the most user friendly and useful booking app I’ve ever used. It makes it so easy to gain new clients while making your return clients feel just as special. With all of the customized emails and social media support it’s makes my job easier knowing my clients can always find me on any platform.

CONS

As some of the features are really cool like the boost. Making it where you can offer happy hours to fill your day faster. But at 30% for the clients first visit it can get a little spendy.

Online Booking is the reason my business continues to grow!

benefits include my clients finding other beauty services on the same app so they love finding their beauty pros in one spot! managing my appointments is effortless so I can focus behind the chair!

PROS

I love the customization available when booking clients and appointments(color coding, time variations) I also like the templates they have to share so easily on social platforms. I love the Booking integration on social channels and google maps and yelp and IG! App is highly functional and looks good too!

CONS

some of the ways things are worded can be slightly complex on the back end but thankfully they have an incredible support system in place!

Styleseat was great for the past few years but I wasn't seeing the integrations or any movement forward like I was seeing with Booksy!

Excellent Convenient App

I love the way that there is constant development, and improvement since i first joined 2 years ago. The app has allowed me more room for quality time with clients, as customers can schedule appointments at their own convenience, without interfering with consultation sessions.

PROS

The app is extremely user-friendly and advances on a monthly basis. The support is always friendly and very responsive.

CONS

Nothing really, as I said there are so many things still to come and to add, which is extremely exciting.

Stay Away if you value your Customers

Awful, frustrating, have definitely upset my clients over this unplanned switch from Genbook.

PROS

I do like the option you can add forms as I'd like to get away from paper. I haven't used theirs as I'm looking for alternative software, but it was the one thing that appealed to me.

CONS

As others have stated, there is zero customer support. They want you to watch their webinars...um seriously?? The chat people will say "hi" then maybe answer your question 10 hours later. If ever. There's really too many things that make this software the worst ever, just trust the bad reviews with recent ratings.

After 2 years of paid subscriptions I felt abused by customer service and belittled they rushed me off and told me someone would call from upper management to resolve my problem but they never did I’m very disappointed that they were not able to amicably resolved my very simple accounting issue.

Disaster for my business

It has been a nightmare. My business is down to half capacity. I regret not leaving immediately at the beginning of the year, but the problems compounded to the point where I must get a new booking system in order for my business to survive.

PROS

When they bought Genbook the migration was handled adequately and the transition was relatively smooth.

CONS

Everything else. The software is very buggy, customers began having trouble booking online and my schedule became less and less full over time. Customer support is non-existent. We lost the wait list function of genbook, we lost reviews, everything takes 3-4 extra clicks. They seem to be only interested in capturing my clients data so they can spam them. It was so cumbersome to book that many clients just started calling or texting me, defeating the purpose of online booking.

Reason for choosing Booksy

I didn't, but now I have chosen Acuity over Booksy. But Booksy still won't let me cancel. You have to request a phone call over chat, and then wait for a phone call.

Reasons for switching to Booksy

It was unwilling. Booksy bought Genbook and destroyed it, keeping few of their tech and useful features.

Don't believe all those glowing reviews -- terrible online support and impossible to cancel.

Shop around! There's so many better booking sites out there with far better support and who won't try to make it impossible for you to cancel your subscription.

PROS

It's pretty straightforward as far as scheduling softwares go, but there's so many to choose from that are simple to use and have way better support.

CONS

I was using Genbook when it was bought by Booksy. I spent a fair amount of time working with the Booksy platform but there were numerous things that I didn't like about it that made me decide to switch to a different scheduling platform. That's when the real trouble began. First, they took down the account access page that would let you cancel your account online. So I called and got a nice young woman but she couldn't understand English well enough to get my email address correct to look up my account; then she said she was transferring me to someone else and disconnected me. So, I tried using their chat function even though when I was working with their platform, that had always been really REALLY SLOW... like they sometimes wouldn't respond for 45 minutes. Again, that happened. So I emailed them. Not expecting a response their either; so am going to cancel payment through my bank.

Had to...Genbook was going under. After the terrible experience with Booksy, I shopped around and chose Acuity/SquareSpace. Really happy with them so far. Customer service is excellent.

Payouts issue - disappointing

I am experiencing issues with registering my account for payouts since September 2022.I have provided Booksy with my Revolut details for payouts and as per error of one their employees I have been accepted even though they don’t allow Revolut for payouts.My customers have been charged for £160 worth of services and I can’t claim my money back from you due to this error.I have been informed by Booksy that I should provide ANY bank details with my name on it so as I work 7 days a week and banks require lots of paperwork it took me over 2 months to do it.FINALLY I thought I will get my money but what do I hear???? I can’t use my personal details because my business is LTD!Twice i have been misled by this joke of a Company that claim your money and don’t provide you with a solution for their own errors. They don’t value Customers who pay them regularly for 2 years, I even offered to process my payments for Booksy subscription and they said NO.Absolutely disgraceful

Great company to work with and excellent software scheduling program.

Scheduling. I appreciate this software in that it incorporates resource rooms.

PROS

The layout is user-friendly and has many options and functionality. The help staff are always on top of inquiries and are very, very kind.

CONS

This software needs to implement an SMS calendar function integration (like Cronofy) to integrate with other calendars and automatically push reminders through to Gmail, etc. Also, the business app does not push reminders through of appointments. A user must hand-enter the appointment through the "add to calendar" link by re-opening the appointment after it has been scheduled and including details such as the name of the staff, etc., as well as who will be included on the appointment notification.

Te voucher system can improve to redeem vouchers and also if clients load credit I would like to have access to the sale to make changes

Worst Customer Service

Disappointed entirely with the transition from Genbook to Booksy.

I have not had a good experience with the product and most specifically with customer support.

CONS

When Genbook transitioned to Booksy I was assured that it would be seamless, and it has been anything but that. When I call for customer service the message saying there are is no one available to help repeats every 10 seconds, I get it they don't want me to wait on hold because then they have to provide service. Wait time for chat is ridiculous. I started a chat an hour ago and have been waiting a minimum of 10 minutes between each reply - which have been unhelpful. Specifically, I was told that clients would receive review requests after their appointments - now they just told me that that does not happen unless they sign up for Booksy. The over 200 reviews they imported from Genbook are not transferrable to a new service because they are not verifiable to them. Genbook had excellent customer service and an intuitive platform. As other reviewers have said, Booksy customer service does not care - and it shows.

Simply amazing

I have really enjoyed using booksy, I can use it on the go when clients phone and I'm not at the salon. It's been really easy to use I have only had 2 problems with it and was fixed within 5 minutes. I know I don't have to stress when I'm away and my staff members won't struggle with using it.

PROS

This software is easy to use, can be used on a pc, tablet or phone. Clients find it easy for booking online. If there is a problem the support is always there and quick to respond

CONS

The only thing I wish it had was more managing software for staff wages and etc so I wouldn't have to pay extra for another software system. Also wish that you didn't have to always have a clients email to send receipts wish it could send to the cellphone number and lastly it needs capabilities for voucher functions

Booksy is Awesome!

PROS

Booksy is great! Helps make my life %100 easier! I am a Barber, and I no longer have to deal with txt messages and calls for my clients wanting to make appointments for haircuts. It’s now simple and easy for them to access my schedule threw Booksy and book what works for them whenever they need to.

CONS

To be honest I can’t really think of anything that would be considered a con about Booksy. Best decision I’ve made in my career thus far.

Booksy is great!

Booksy basically kicked off my career as a barber if it wasn’t for Booksy I would not have been able to grow with the times that we are living in today as far as technology goes. It just works! It has all your needs and plus the chat team that they have are always happy to help, I couldn’t ask for more.

PROS

Any app that I could immediately recommend to my colleagues says everything you need to know about this app it’s perfect in my opinion.

NUL… PERTE D’ARGENT ET DE TEMPS !

Plate-forme de prise de rendez-vous incomplète, lorsqu’on travaille et cible les professionnels la plate-forme doit être à la hauteur et tout aussi professionnelle ce qui n’est pas le cas avec booksy. Malheureusement j’ai décidé de travailler avec booksy car c’est le moins cher sur le marché hors c’était une mauvaise décision. Je dois gérer tous les problèmes car booksy est incapable de le faire. J’ai décidé de faire confiance au plate-forme de prise de rendez-vous pour gagner du temps, ne pas gérer mes propre rendez-vous et travailler sereinement, sauf que je perds un temps fou, de l’énergie et de l’argent… j’ai mis une protection contre les absences, et demande un pré paiement sauf que à chaque mise à jour de la plate-forme cette protection saute et les clients réservent des rendez-vous sans régler ce prepayment, et peuvent ne pas se présenter à leur rendez-vous au mois de janvier j’ai perdu plus de 600€ et après avoir contacté le service client médiocre de booksy. Ils m’ont fait comprendre que ce n’était pas leur soucis et n’allaient pas me rembourser mais j’ai malgré tout insisté ils m’ont offert mois d’abonnement ce qui correspond a 49€ (49€ que je précise ne rembourse absolument pas les 600€ perdu) une nouvelle mise à jour en février, j’ai effectué ce qui était demandé j’ai contacté le service client qui a confirmé au téléphone que tout est bon et qu’il n y aura aucun soucis. Aujourd’hui dimanche 17 mars 2024, je me réveille et me rendez compte que depuis quelques jours les clients prennent rendez-vous sur booksy sans régler ce prepayment, je dois donc annuler tous les clients et leur demander individuellement de reprendre un nouveau rendez-vous (ce que je pense qu’ils ne feront pas tous) mais pour se faire, je vais devoir attendre la fin du week-end pour contacter booksy et leur demander de gérer ce problème de prepayment une nouvelle fois. Je vais malheureusement devoir recommencer les recherches pour trouver un autre logiciel de prise de rendez-vous, recommencer à zéro ! Quelle perte de temps!!!! Ne passez pas par booksy si vous souhaitez travailler sereinement.

A fuire : solution pas du tout complete qui ne vous apportera rien et vous coutera plus qu'elle ne vous rapporte (en plus de voler vos données client)

NUL Une catastrophe Une Catastrophe ! Vous avez un sallon ? Fuyez cette solution ! En tant qu'agence, j'ai accompagné une cliente pour créer un compte sur cette plateforme ... Quelle erreur ! Ça vous coutera plus chère que ce que cela vous rapporte : pas de rdv même avec une fiche ultra fournie, une centaines de services, etc Quand il y a des rdv : les clients ne se présentent pas (malgré leur soi-disant fonctionnalité contre les no-show) Bref : je recommande à tous les instituts de fuire cette solution. Aussi bien pour des raisons d'organisation, de communication, de facturation, de comptabilité, de relation client et surtout de support ! Bref : cette solution est une HONTE ! Pour vous vendre la solution : il y a du monde. Après coup : plus rien. À tel point que si vous ne donnez pas de nouvelle à leures relances commerciales pendant 2-3 mois, vous vous retrouvez bloqué par vos contacts en interne ! Plus de réponse aux messages whatsapp, email, etc Par contre, ça continue à débiter... Pour la garantie contre les rdv "no-show" : une catastrophe aussi. La compta : une catastrophe - aucune connaissance des règles et lois sur la comptabilité en France L'organisation du calendrier : ZERO - aucun moyen de connecter votre calendrier Goole sans un systeme sur-mesure automatisé avec une intelligence artificielle (merci de laisser le soin à vos clients de payer ce type de solution !) L'export des fichier client : ZERO - lisez bien les CGV avant de signer : booksy s'accapare vos clients et en prime vous ne pourrez pas les exporter comme il se doit (obliger de faire copier-coller à la main, pas d'export possible : pourtant ces clients sont-ils ceux de booksy et pas les votres ? Long débas, à voir ce qu'en dit la CNIL et la DGCCRF)

Aucun. booksy est une catastrophe. Je ne recommande cette solution à aucun institut ou salon.

CONS

TOUT. Rien ne va : du service client à la solution.

Booksy seems to be too understaffed and overwhelmed to be as effective as it can

I hate the fact that I'm stuck using this awful company (if I jumped ship I would lose the hundereds of reviews that I had amassed while I was using Genbook). Booksy clearly got greedy by acquiring a competitor and instead of boosting up its staffing to handle the numerous bugs in its software as well as the influx of all the new customers from the competitor, they choose to go cheap with keeping its domestic staff lean (which I'm sure is terrible for morale) and contracting with ill-trained overseas customer support who are essentially useless when it comes to addressing the very real flaws in its system.

PROS

Good effort that they offer videos and webinars to help users navigate how to use Booksy. Too bad that those videos and webinars tend to be general and vague, and when there are specific questions and issues (or problems we run into that we point out) they are simply not addressed. I like that someone from Booksy reached out to me as a new customer after being migrated from Genbook to help me with my questions, but that was only for a period of a month and now that there are still ongoing questions and issues I need help with that person no longer responds. I know that it is due to the fact that the staffer is constantly being given new accounts as the old ones "age out" but it is indicative of how this business prioritizes profits from account volume rather than maintaining a robust, unassailable product with good customer service.

CONS

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Booksy touts offering support by phone (except they are so short staffed that the wait time is interminable), email (response rate is about several weeks), and 24/7 chat (response rate several hours for a reply, and oftentimes the overseas support person is not equipped to provide an answer or solution and when that is the case then they just ghost the conversation. Here is an example of a typical exchange. Me: Please help me w/ this problem accessing the waitlist, namely the fact that there does not seem to be one period. Booksy: The waiting list works so that it is only displayed if there is at least one free slot in business. Please check if the slot is available, then it should be working fine! Me: What do you mean that the waiting list works only so that it is only displayed if there is at least one free slot in business? The whole point of the waiting list is so that if all the slots are currently booked, whoever is on the waitlist is notified if the slot they want becomes available. Please explain b/c Booksy's waitlist does not make sense to me. Booksy: no response

Reasons for switching to Booksy

Not by choice. Genbook got acquired by Booksy.
