Solid Risk Management Information System - Ventiv IRM
Ventiv IRM is a reliable, easy to use risk management information system. The platform has helped us identify our loss trends, provides detailed reporting and dashboards, and is where we capture claim and litigation records. It is critical to our success in risk management for our organization.

CONSThe platform on mobile needs improving. Also, new features and integrations can take a long time to implement.

Total Customization
Ability to completely customize everything is amazing. Integration with Digital for claim input and reporting allows for consistent reportable data and ease of use for our employee population.
CONSCreating reports is a bit cumbersome, but queries provide similar features with greater ease of use.

Sales Demonstration vs. Product Delivered = Disappointment
It appeared that Ventiv IRM was not fully beta tested before offering it and presenting it in sales demonstrations.
PROSWe used RiskConsole prior to IRM. We were excited for the new software with enhanced technology. We were shown things in the sales demonstration that were exactly what we were looking for safety technology, claim intake tool with decisions trees, etc. Specifically, technology that RiskConsole did not have. We were lead to believe that IRM had everything that RiskConsole had and more. It did not. Specific example was email to journal.
CONSWhat we were present in the sales demonstration and what we based our purchase decision on is not what we received. IRM did not seem to be completely beta tested. We have had to work with Ventiv support on capabilities we were told were already in place. Specific examples, we are two years into implementation and still waiting for safety technology. We have purchased another tool for this purpose. Digital was launched but there was no decision tree as sale demonstrated.
Reason for choosing Ventiv IRM
Since we already were using RiskConsole we were told it would make the implementation easier. It did not. What Ventiv demonstrates in sales presentations should be available and functional at implementation.
Reasons for switching to Ventiv IRM
Our company wanted a risk management information system that could be used enterprise wide. At the time, I highly recommended Ventiv. All the issues have made me reconsider my recommendation.

IRM Feedback
The support team has been engaged with us and we meet weekly to discuss open items & issues which has been helpful. In some ways I feel like we're still trying to reach status quo but we're making progress.
PROSSimple interface. The Cognos tools look promising but to be honest I haven't been able to invest too much time with it so far.
CONSAdministration is much more cumbersome and time consuming than with previous system.
