Overall, the extra protection as a whole is worth knowing that the greater base is less likely to undergo possible email hacking/phishing.

Sometimes this product holds up emails that are not harmful, which could eventually pose a problem if I am under a timetable.

The software is easy to use and integrates well into office365. The email filtering stops majority of spam.

The rep we have is responsive and always helpful, which is nice. Support is generally good, though recent years have shown that its getting worse.

Constantly adding new features to increase layers of protection. Integrates well with other Mimecast products.

Overall I am satisfied with this and ease of using it. It is very important that we communicate with out investors and protect their information.

I have had a great experience with this software. If they could update their app to be more user friendly, I think they would be unstoppable.

The level of granularity in policy creation while still being robust and easy to use.

There are times where the plugin fails or it crashes and suddenly disappears from Outlook. I think the outlook integration should be fixed.

The app sometimes fails to load within outlook for me also at times. The release of your vaulted items is not always instant also and can have a lag on it being released.

This software does accomplish the core functionality required from an IT perspective.

We've tried chasing down messages that triggered a policy despite being exempt, only to find it was some nuance of how that one policy worked.

Overall, MimeCast is easy to use and easy to setup. I think it is a good email security provider - even though there are some glitches.

The user dashboard is hard to get to, and not so user friendly. Email attachments can get lost,  specially when coming from outside the company.

I love that there is a knowledge center with all kinds of information about how to build and use the system in the way that's right for you.

I like that it gives me the ability to flag spam over and above just deleting it - I like that I can also access a vault of deleted files.

Mimecast provides email security at my company - it is effective at screening spam emails and generally I find it easy to use to review filter/held emails which may be suspicious.

The Security Gateway (SG) has been an excellent way to interface those email servers with the world and between themselves.

The beauty of it, you can decide what to do if system detected sensitive info.

Great performance and the ability to maintain huge white and black lists. The SG provides an XML-RPC API for I use for my own utilities that inteface it with our firewall appliances.

Spam/Virus attacks have been a huge burden with every business, especially in the real estate law business.

Lacking software level error reporting. Lacking MSP/Hosted environment specific licensing or options.

It is a very easy system to use, easy to implement, and it helps a lot because it has several languages for which I am grateful that my native language is Spanish.

Best antivirus/antispam solution out there for on-premises.

Comparing with MDaemon (email server), this has limited action for content filter.

Lacking in high availability options such as active-active or active-passive. Lacking watchdog functionality to restart services if they die unexpectedly.

Installation was straightforward and setup and configuration were also easy. For the price you get all the expected features and a lot of extra goodies too.

You often spend equal or more money on cloud spam filtering solutions than the email account itself.

The SG cost has been reasonable and the software runs very well in unattended (auto-pilot) mode.

The logging is top notch, very easy to see what happened to an e-mail and why.

The UI has all the basics covered too. The deep integration with MDaemon is a perk for me, but it works with Exchange and other platforms just as well, even including SMTP call-forwards.

I've been using this for more than five years and while I've had issues and bugs, I've always had a quick response and great service.
