Agrxis Review on Google App Engine
As a developer who has been utilizing Google App Engine for a while, I can honestly state that I have had nothing but excellent experiences. The platform has a user-friendly interface with potent capabilities that make it simple for me to manage my applications, from deploying and growing them to monitoring and debugging them. The versatility of Google App Engine is one feature I particularly value. The platform offers strong capabilities to facilitate the development and deployment of my apps and supports a wide range of programming languages. I particularly value how well Google Cloud services are integrated, since it has enabled me to use robust capabilities like Cloud SQL and Cloud Storage and manage my resources more effectively.
PROSI have to mention that as a developer who has been using Google App Engine for a while, I'm continuously amazed by the platform. The simplicity and use of Google App Engine are what I appreciate most about it. The platform has a user-friendly interface with potent capabilities that make it simple for me to manage my applications, from deploying and growing them to monitoring and debugging them. The versatility of Google App Engine is just another feature I adore. The platform offers a uniform user experience and strong capabilities to enable the development and deployment of my projects, whether I'm working with Python, Java, Node.js, or another supported language. I particularly value how well Google Cloud services are integrated, since it has enabled me to use robust capabilities like Cloud SQL and Cloud Storage and manage my resources more effectively.
CONSI have to admit that as a developer who has been using Google App Engine for a while, I'm generally impressed with the platform. But if I had to choose one aspect of Google App Engine that I dislike most, it would be the price.Although the platform has many useful features and resources, using it for larger applications or popular websites can be rather pricey. It might be irritating at times because the price models for some of the services can be complicated and challenging to forecast. Additionally, although while many of the services offer free limits, these might be rather limited and might not be enough for more complex applications.
Reason for choosing Google App Engine
It's relatively cheap and easy to use.

Google App Engine: a real PaaS Infrastructure for Cloud App Development
Google App Engine provides competitive platform and software services in the cloud that provides the developer with a unified platform that encompasses development and production. This is a dream-come-true for everyone working in the IT industry.
PROSI really enjoyed the Platform as a Service (PaaS) model followed by Google which allows the client to develop and deploy a cloud server application using popular programming languages such as Java and Python among others. Unifying the development and production phases in Google App Engine streamlines a lot of error prone processes related mainly to RDBMS connection strings and configuration and makes the movement from the development phase to the production phase very smooth since the two phases are now carried out on the same cloud architecture. I used Google AppEngine for developing and hosting service routing protocols for determining energy-efficient request forwarding paths in composite-service cloud architectures. Very flexible pricing scheme with a lot of free daily credit which makes the development stress free when testing and tuning. I highly recommend Google App Engine for PaaS and SaaS cloud services.
CONSInfrastructure services are available but not as developed as the SaaS and PaaS services. Would mainly rely on Amazon EC2 for IaaS services.

Google App Engine Review
My overall experience with Google App Engine is great and i always use it to develop applications quickly.
PROSI like that I can modify the computational resources I am using to scale up the project at any time. Also, I like the traffic split feature that enables me to do the A/B test if I have multiple landing pages.
CONSThere are a very limited ready to use themes and templates. The documentations are not up to date and also the pricing need to be reduced.

Scalability for dummies
I must admit I'm long time App Engine user and I still like it, so for me it's pity to see some nice old features retiring. And I think "is App Engine still relevant" is the main question for many people in 2022. Yes, Google Cloud Platform offers so many more options, but in my opinion App Engine still could be a relevant choice for many projects. I won't choose it if I would be required to go for the Flex environment and I would rather choose for Cloud Run. Also I won't choose it if I'm good with Cloud Functions. However I'd seriously consider it if I'm developing a web service providing mission critical business logic and I need to run it at scale.
PROSApp Engine is really easy to get started with and without compromise on scalability or security aspects. Instead of growing DevOps and system administration team you can run mission critical web applications at scale without even thinking of having dedicated people in this functions. Just need to follow very simple guidelines.
CONSVendor lock is one thing to consider. Currently App Engine is not like it used to be 10 years ago when you have to use all its proprietary services, however if you want to get most of it and most of Google Cloud Platform in overall you should definitely start using GCP services like Cloud Tasks, Pub/Sub, Firestore and many more. These services unleash huge productivity, but they also create huge vendor lock. Also App Engine is not cheap when volumes grow, in fact you may save serious money just by switching to another compute services in Google Cloud Platform.
