Worth Every Penny!!!
Keeping track of each individual keg, and knowing where all our units are at any specific time is incredible. The reports that allow me to see “days on tap” for some of our customers allows me to reach out sooner and follow up with them easier
PROSFrom the ease of the initial setup, right down to the daily use. Everything is there for us to track and follow up with our customers quicker and much more accurately. Anytime I have a question I can count on the team to not only immediately respond letting me know they will look into it, they reach out once a solution is found and then they follow up to make sure I’m happy with the result.
CONSNot really KegShoe specific, but training the team to scan and get out of the habit of “forgetting”

The customer service and the personal time [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] was able to give me to explain the system and all the added value it brings... this was much more welcoming then an auto generated email that made it seem like my business wasn’t important.

its been pretty good. I found onboarding my staff a bit of a challenge, but once over that hurdle things got easier. It would be ideal if there was a way to get a company like Direct tap that already uses this software to implement it into their distro system so we can track kegs that go through their services.
PROSThe app works well and the system seems to keep us up to date on our keg inventory.
CONSI would like there to be more customization on the handheld app as its frusterating when you are trying to scan a product and for example an account(bar/resto) isn't currently in the system. You then have to cancel your scan and go to a computer to update your system before you proceed. Also If I scan 10 kegs and 5 aren't in the system yet then it just accepts the 5 that are and I have to save a screenshot of the ones that arent (if I can) and go through all the kegs once more to find them. It would be nice to have an option to capture those kegs that aren't in the system or clean or returned and update their status without having to rescan all the unaccepted kegs. In addition the use of kegshare kegs with this system doesn't make sense to me. Can I add any kegshare keg I come across to my inventory? When shipping kegs out of province kegs just dissappear and we can no longer see keg history. We've also had kegs immediately transferred out of our inventory when we shipped them like with our transfer back in March of 2020. It seems there is lots going on in the back end of the software that isnt being shared with the users and I find it that incredibly frustrating.

Excellent but limited
We haven't lost a keg yet, that is good, but this is a very "in the moment" program. It will not give reliable production data for government reporting.
PROSThis is easy to set up and operate. both the IOS and Android apps work well.
CONSThe desk top is slow. Movement between areas often requires backing all the way out to the mane menu rather than backing up one level. There is good information stored there but reporting is often limited. Exporting data for trends or history is often impossible. There is no ability to undo mistakes.

A must have for a self distributing brewery
We now have real time inventory for our production and sales teams. We have also been able to minimize lost kegs and easily manage our keg fleet.
PROSThe software is easy to use and has helped us keep track of our keg inventory both in the cooler and out at our accounts.
CONSI would like more features and the ability to analyze data without having to export to excel

Keg Awareness is Sweet
KegShoe has given us a much more robust view into the location and lives our our kegs at any given time. It has enabled us to improve our turnaround times and given us more accessible knowledge about accounts' order preferences and behavior. The addition of the location map to the app has been a huge help to our driving team, who know have much better visibility into nearby keg locations to add pickups to their regularly scheduled routes. The software is easy to use and has saved us a lot of time and hassle compared to our previous keg tracking efforts.
CONSWe would like to get deeper with some of the reporting options, but the staff has been good about responding to and acknowledging our needs. We look forward to growing with them and furthering the value of their software!
