Our overall experience is very good. The quality of credit reviews increased as did the productivity of the credit team, after implementing CPS. CPS allowed us to schedule credit reviews and gave visibility to the credit review progress from start to final approval. Using the CPS customer data, our month-end reports improved and data we easily accessible for use in executive and upper management presentations.

PROS

CPS has all the functionality needed to efficiently manage the credit function for Flextronics, a $25B company with a credit staff of about 20 people (not including another 80 people in the AR and Collections. CPS was used for financial statement/ratio analysis, multiple credit scoring models, assigning credit risk ratings, and a workflow function that made it easy to transfer credit recommendations to multiple approvers. Also important was the file storage database for each customer, which stored financial statements and other documents used in determining the credit recommendation. We created multiple credit scoring models to fit multiple customer types and industries. The system integrates with Dun and Bradstreet and other financial service companies, such as Capital IQ or Credit Risk Monitor.

Most of the modifications we implemented were created internally with senior credit analysts doing the work There were others that required CPS techs to design, program and implement for us.

Reason for choosing CreditPoint Software

CreditPoint had several functions mentioned above that were significantly better than the competition and the initial implementation expense was relatively low compared to the alterntives and the annual cost per user is very reasonable. The CPS team was very open to our ideas for making the software more efficient and effective for our customer risk managment activities and many of our suggestions have become standard CPS functionality.
