sage business works account package

I have been both a reseller and a cpa consultant for business works packages. Provided setup, training and support for small businesses up to 10 million in gross sales! and an end user!

PROS

ease of use, good accounting controls built into system. easy to learn for persons with basic bookkeeping knowledge!

CONS

over the years its price escalation, my original purchase for all the modules was less than $2000.00, now its almost twice that 20+ years later but the technology has been kept up to date with other competitive packages!

Reason for choosing Sage BusinessWorks

internal controls built in to the package and ease of use an learning curve for me and employees!

Reasons for switching to Sage BusinessWorks

Needed to add payroll and the exel payroll program we wrote kept crashing when we were in the middle of payroll, and it really had no controls. it was fine for me as a cpa to run, but i could not have employee bookkeepers to run because they did not know how to check to see if it ran correctly without my help. so it became time prohibitive for me the owner and all analytics had to be prepared manually or more bulky programs needed to be written so we were constantly re-inventing the wheel so to speak!
