Acuity Scheduling is a cloud-based appointment scheduling software solution that enables business owners to manage their appointments online. The product caters to the needs of small and midsize businesses as well as individual professionals.

Acuity Scheduling lets users automate appointment bookings by offering a real-time view of their own time available. It has the capability to automatically sync calendars according to users’ time zones and can send regular alerts and reminders to users regarding their appointment schedules.

Acuity Scheduling’s scheduling feature set includes customizable intake forms, embeddable calendars, third party application calendar synchronizing, and group scheduling for workshops.

We don't use Acuity more than a few times a month; if we did we might consider moving over to another scheduler, but so far it hasn't done us wrong and we've had no calendar misfires!

Pros

Acuity makes it hard to miss a step when setting up your scheduler. They offer client intake forms, follow up emails, easy ways to block time off the calendar, and customizable features.

Cons

Their customizable client form editor is definitely wonky; we've had to reach out to support pretty much any time we've had to edit it. The entire process can appear confusing on first glance.

It's great, but...

Easy to use. Had great support in the early years. Meets my needs in a small mental health practice.

Cons

Recently, they have switched to email only support and access to third-party "Aces". The personal touch was absolutely great in the early years. Now, there support response time is about the same, but you don't necessarily get the same person on an issue. If it's not resolved with the first tech who gets your email, then you may have to start all over again with a new tech support who may give you a whole different take on the problem. It's confusing to say the least. NO PHONE CONTACT any more. Also, recurring appointments are a nightmare. Or at least recently. They do not copy over to my google calendar. Tech said they never did. But that functionality was working for years. Now, they say the last appointment in the series is the only one that shows on users or the admins calendar if they wish to add to google calendar. This is crazy. I am really disappointed. After years of loving them, I'm now trying to find a new provider : (

I'm so glad I found Acuity. It's easy to set up, provides different time zone support, and so easy to customize! But most of all, I love how it automatizes my business and I don't have to schedule my appointments myself (or have someone else do it).

Cons

Since it has so many customization options, sometimes I get lost in the process. But all the pros outweigh this con by far.

I absolutely love the ability to have my clients pick their own appointments. There’s been more than once when I had a client who had such a busy schedule that we couldn’t pinpoint a good day for their appointment over the phone. I just had them go in and pick a time and write themselves in! It saved me so much time so that I was able to focus on other clients. I was also able to share calendars with my co-workers so that everyone had the correct schedule. I just really wish that there was phone support just in case something did go wrong with us trying to figure out all of the features. Hopefully, that will change in the future.

Pros

By far, the best feature is the ability to have clients schedule their own appointments. As a busy person, I don’t often have the time for the back and forth of scheduling a client. With Acuity, they can look at my schedule, see when I’m free, and then put themselves in wherever it’s convenient for them. I also like that the calendars adjust for time zones. This is helpful if you have clients all over the country yet don’t want to have to figure out the time differences. The tutorial for Acuity was very informative and made using the program a breeze. Having the calendars sync up for groups is also very handy rather than having everyone input the info individually.

Cons

Sometimes, there is such a thing as too much. Acuity has so many features that it’s overwhelming. There is no way I could use every single feature, so it seems like overkill. It’s also made even more difficult because there is no phone support. If I had a number I could call, perhaps they could explain to me what each of the features does that way I’m not so overwhelmed. Phone support would also be handy in case something breaks, most likely from trying to figure out the different features. With something as important as your schedule, you need to have almost instant solutions, and lack of phone support means you have to wait to get a response, which costs time and money lost.

This is a really cool way to schedule appointments, but I'd hate to be a vendor in this space. General-purpose appointment setting is rapidly becoming a commodity product.

Pros

I liked the ease of setup and connecting with my g-suite-based calendar. It was relatively painless and simple to connect, configure and use.

Cons

Honestly, there was nothing bad about it. It was simply that I was able to find essentially the same functionality for a lower price in Calendly.

Pros

I like the organization of the website, and how easy it is for clients to access, and use the options available. It makes my job a lot easier by having them manually book their own appointments, rather than I negotiating times available for their services. It saves me a hassle!

Cons

I dislike the payment settings. I wish there was an option for clients to pay via e-transfer, or another platform where I don't have to pay extra monthly fees to other companies.

I have looked at many, many different booking/ scheduling softwares and acuity scheduling is the only one i found that can do what i need as well as enjoy its quirks and design.

Pros

It is very refreshing in the way the words certain things
The layout is easy to use
The tutorial they provide is very helpful and not overwhelming
Adding, removing or changing an appointment is easy
This app allows you to modify it so you can offer "overnight" bookings
You are able to do multiple bookings
You are able to do reoccurring bookings
Acuity scheduling also links up to your QuickBooks account
And so much more!

Cons

The mobile app of this software doesnt offer the same amount of options as the online one.
A bit pricey but definitely worth the money if you are going to use it everyday.

It is one of the most intuitive scheduling software I have used so far. It has variety of customization options and also the integration with other platforms so far has been flawless. Some minor issues, if resolved in future updates, can make it a perfect choice.

I cannot say enough about this product. Our firm began using this when the simple act of scheduling client meetings began to take up so much of our admin's time. Now we can just direct clients to our website link and let them find the time that works best for them. Plus, we can set different schedule for different times of year.

Cons

It does take a bit of time to learn how to get the right appointment times set up for the right types of clients. (New vs Old) Wish there was a very in-depth training on this.

Cons

Blocking out on your schedule should be as easy as click and drag. I dislike that I have to hit block at the top and enter the date as opposed to finding the date on the calendar and clicking on the time like I would set an appointment.

My experience with Acuity Scheduling has been fantastic. In the past, I would have overlaps with bookings and even miss some appointments.

If there is one tool I would highly recommend for easy scheduling with clients, it's Acuity Scheduling.

Pros

Acuity Scheduling is so simple to customize and setup, from creating appointment types to the setting up of your own Intake Form Questions.

I love the fact that you can easily block off time on your calendar if you are going on holiday or just want a couple of days off. If you have a lot of existing clients, you can simply import them into Acuity, with no problem at all.

I have integrated it into my website with no problem at all, now my clients can simply book online with no overlaps or double bookings.

Acuity Scheduling is a simple, practical and very effective solution to my scheduling headaches.

Cons

Actually, to be quite honest, there hasn't been anything I didn't like about the software. It's simple, easy to use and most of all cost-effective.

Pros

I love that I can choose which services require payment up front. I also love that I can include forms for clients and send reminders too! The only thing missing is inventory tracking.

Cons

No real complaints here. If you sell retail products, you can’t track inventory, but that’s it.

Acuity sends confirmation emails, (optional) reminders (that are also super customizable) for me and my clients and allows clients to reschedule appts on their own when necessary, literally saves me so much time and effort booking appointments on my own manually w each client

Pros

Acuity is literally the perfect booking site, it’s straightforward and easy to use for me and for clients. Functions are super easy to find and I like their calendar better than other sites and they have lots of options and functions for personalizing your page no matter what plan you have with them.

Cons

I wish the phone app for acuity can be a little more like the website. Overall the app is already great bc u can change ur hours of availability, book and reschedule and cancel appts, add clients etc., but for some things like editing appointment types and prices you have to log in to the computer.

Everything. Truly, everything. There are features galore, and with my squarespace website, my subscription is free. Can't beat free! The ability to send email confirmations to clients, change time zones, assign appointment types, block out availability, etc. are all such time savers.

Cons

I would LOVE to be able to sync more than one calendar to Acuity so I don't get double booked. As it is right now, you have to add another user to be able to add another calendar to the mix... At least that option is there, but I'd love a simpler set up.

The calendar is easy to setup and use. The integration is easy enough into your outlook calendar.

Cons

Sometimes it allows double booking so the syncing sometimes was off between outlook and acuity.

Awesome service and great scheduling product!

Pros

Excellent customer service and support I recieved when I purchased the product.Customer support was totally awesome. They helped with embedding in my website. Service was beyond expected. Love that they offer a free training class as well. Easy to use.

Cons

That there is no contact telephone number.

I love that it automatically takes time zones into account for you. I live in a different time zone than many of my clients and it helps prevent confusion as Acuity updates the time zone information according to where the person is accessing the calendar. It syncs with my calendar which also saves me time!

Cons

Nothing so far! It has done everything I have needed.
