For Customer Onboarding, This is What You're Looking For
Motion.io is an awesome product that is constantly pushing out updates and launching new features that makes it even better each week.
PROSMotion.io does everything we ever dreamed of when it comes to customer onboarding software. We especially like how the portal doesn't require a login, it shows tasks due, and auto-follows up on tasks due with the customer.
CONSAnything we thought was missing or any rough edges we found with the software, we let Motion.io know, and we saw fixes come out within weeks - so I can't say there's anything we like least right now. They are moving fast on improving the product which is a huge plus!

Motion does everything that is important to us, and does it well, without charging exuberant prices for it.

Motion.io changed our business
The support at Motion.io has been unbeatable. They have quickly answered every question we've asked, quickly implemented new features we requested, and spent time ensuring we understood the system! It has been easy to use, easy for our clients to use, and changed the onboarding process for our clients.
PROSHaving a simple and easy space for our clients to onboard and manage their tasks. We are able to set up automated task reminders, have a dashboard that doesn't require them to learn a new system, and make sure our clients felt confident about what was happening during their time working with us.
CONSThe cost of motion.io makes it hard to add all of our team. Each user has to have a purchased membership and the price quickly adds up for a small business!

While we still us Clickup internally, we used to build a dashboard for our clients. We were receiving feedback that the process of learning the new system was overwhelming and clients wanted something easier.

Gets better and better
Very positive. Glad we came across it. It has been very helpful for our onboarding process.
PROSThey accept feedback and continue to make improvements on the platform.
CONSCost per team members. I have one team member who logins maybe once a month and still have to pay full price.

This platform is perfect for creative freelancers and design agencies!
I was an early adopter and really looked around so much for something for creative designers and their teams. This fit the bill, was easy to set up and allowed me to get going really quickly. Customer service is responsive and really thorough with answers and they have YT vids that explain all platform changes. I know there are tons of other software services popping up all over, but what keeps me here is the way I can interact with my clients and manage the projects. It's not really clunky and just makes sense.
PROSIt wasn't a service based portal app that just stored documents. It actually allowed separation between my clients and my team by allowing them to have their own space. The updates are consistent and make sense for the evolution of the platform and customer service is responsive.
CONSThe forms download could use improvement. You can do it, but it doesn't format the documents in a useful way for us or the clients. Longer forms have the answers cut and pasted into text documents. This kind of negates the download feature, imo. Also need a way to invoice or even sell upsell a service inside the platform. Currently those are embeddable features. Native function would be cool.

Our vision is to support you from the moment the client is ready to sign, to payment, to product delivery, to off-boarding, to upsells and cross-sells of new products. And, when a customer purchases another product in your portal, have that auto-import the appropriate template of stages and tasks and kick the project off all in the background.

Big help for my business
Easy to use, and the team went over and above to help me get started and understand the product.
CONSFor what I’m using it for it seems a bit pricey, but they are comparable to other services in the same vein. But my clients seem to love it as well so that makes it worth it.

The hands-down winner
This is a five star application. The team provides stability and feature updates regularly. Their people are hands on and care about client success.
PROSEase of setup and use. The ease with which the entire team was able to use it without a huge learning curve.
CONSI would like to see a customer database or ability to connect it to our CRM or accounting suite to choose clients when creating new tasks and projects for existing clients.

We still use Asana for project management but we needed something less complex and more user-friendly for clients.

Web Design Portal
Customer Support has been fantastic and responsive.
PROSI love the ability to have a client portal that I can add tasks with due dates for the clients and that these can be customized for each client as well as use templates to set them up initially
CONSI would like there to be more project management tools including "private" tasks so I could manage all tasks inside motion.io. This would allow me to let go of my task management tool and I could upgrade to the higher plan to include the help desk and ticketing.

Excellent Client Onboarding Software!
It's been great, and I highly recommend it! Bringing new clients is so much easier.
PROSIt makes the overall process much easier than before. I do high-level work and it's crucial I track the pieces of not just onboarding but also what happens as we work together. Before this, I was piecing things together, and it was in all different places, making it time-consuming to track.
CONSI would love it if there were a little more visual design to make the portal look prettier, but that is a small thing that has nothing to do with its use.
