So Glad we switched to Akitu
The support from Akitu has been nothing short of outstanding. [sensitive content hidden] and the team have been incredibly attentive.
PROSEasy to use, full featured, and reasonably priced. It's amazing that so much new and useful functionality is constantly being added.
CONSI was nervous that Akitu was a small company at the time, but in the end it was not an issue whatsoever.

The layout and usability seemed very intuitive, with lots of features, and reasonably priced.
Reasons for switching to Akitu One
Although we paid monthly for Abeldent and got updates for years, we reached a point where Abeldent was looking for a large lump sum payment to update the software - this lump sump was the same amount as just purchasing new software from any other vendor. I felt very let down as a long-time user. Also, the software was very outdated and was cumbersome to use. There were bugs that had been present for years, and despite reporting them, they were never corrected.

The best software we have found!
Finding Akitu was like a dream, it fit our budget and the specific needs of our Dental Hygiene Clinic. We had a rough start opening our clinic. We tried several softwares and often found that they had misrepresented their capabilities or failed to deliver on their promises. Prior to Akitu we required more than one software at a time to meet our specific needs. The cost was significant and we spent endless hours transferring info between our previous softwares. Finding Akitu has saved us so much time, money and removed the headaches from our daily admin duties. Akitu will allow us to continue to operate without an administrator for much longer allowing us to continue to build our practice at a reduced cost! It has been a lifesaver!
PROS-ease of use -friendly and fast support -cost -automated systems allow for us to save on admin until we have the budget for an additional salary. -constantly working to improve the software with regular upgrades -very receptive to feedback and quick to implement changes to further improve the client experience
CONS-there isn't anything to complain about Akitu checks all the boxes.
Reasons for switching to Akitu One
The softwares underpreformed. None of them checked all of the boxes and we had to run them in tandem. It was costly and inefficient. Curve was much like akitu but very costly and failed us in direct billing to insurance. Maxident was outdated and tedious to navigate, they had promised an updated program with online booking and failed to deliver in the promised time frame. We had used Jane in conjunction to maxident for online booking. We liked Jane however they did not offer dental specific programs or insurance billing as we required.

Its good
PROSIT is very easy to learn, some feature require more clicks.
CONSIt is not compatible with my xray software system, so I can't do bridging

We are very happy with Akitu One!
As a dental team we were quite leary about the new software and that there was only online training available. Just very different than previous software switches but we were all surprised with how easy we were able to make the switch and get most things figured out.
PROSQuick, easy and any changes we seem to ask for to improve usability seem to be added in. Good customer support from what i hear.
CONSNot really anything in general but there are a few tweeks that can be made. More templates for xrays and IO photos. Also in the probing chart, if adjustments are made to an existing perio exam, it should save as a new date at the end of the day (sometimes multiple saves are made during exam so would have to be end of day).

Or boss, the dentist of our office was looking for a different option with prices and also end of contract with MaxiViewer (for xrays)

Brilliant Easy to use Software
5 star overall experience - customer service is excellent and extremely fast.
PROSCustomer service and well designed. Akitu One has built this program based on the needs of its user. It's so easy to use, everything was been created with meaningful intentions. Just brilliant work and software.
CONSHonestly, there really isn't anything to not to like about this software. If you ever think of something that can be improved the team is always willing to adapt and improve the functions to make your charting and administration work seamless.
