Well-designed and user-friendly eCRF
Overall, Viedoc is a very well-design and user-friendly eCRF that fulfills most of our needs as a CRO. Whenever we are facing an issue, the Viedoc support is always very helpful, which is very much appreciated by our team.
PROSI find Viedoc very user-friendly. I experience that once the site users are trained, the questions we reecieve from them are limited. The eLearning is very detailed and includes a lot of pictures making it easy to follow. The step-for-step guidelines in the eLearning can easily by shared with the sites that are facing troubles with data entry. The ViedocMe application is a great addition to the eCRF Clinic allowing the subject to fill in electronic questionnaires. From a designer perspective, I think it is quick to set up a study and possible to design the eCRF to fill your study specific needs. It is easy to configure the data checks to limit data entry errors and I think it is very helpful to be able to configure visibility of forms and visits, so that not everything is visible at once. The Viedoc Reports function is appreciated. It is comprehensive and makes it easy to review data.
CONSIt would sometimes be more convenient if we could edit the settings for user roles without having to do a new design. If the roles configuration were moved to Global Settings, it is easier to do quick updates. The thing that it is not possible to link Concomitant Medications to Medical History and/or Adverse Event is a big downside. This is one of the features that I have missed the most. But it is my understanding that this feature will come in the next release. From a study manager/Data manager perspective, it can be difficult to troubleshoot ViedocMe issues. It may seem straight forward but we do face that Investigators don't know how to check if the email or phone number has been set up correctly or whether the Reminders have been enabled. It would also be nice, if the email/phone reminders for ViedocMe users could be edited (text and frequency) without updating the design. In many studies, we experience low compliance with the ViedocMe forms. An eLearning within the application has been requested by several customers.

You are correct that the possibility to link CMs with AEs, SAEs with AEs (or any other relevant linking) will be possible with the upcoming release. The entire Viedoc community is probably waiting for this feature and it will be a great addition to the data collection and cleaning process. Improved support for trouble shooting if email and/or text messages have been sent is also an upcoming feature. This will give us here at Viedoc more time to focus on more important things than checking the logs for our clients studies. Definitely an improvement for all. Thanks again! // Viedoc

About building EDC
It has been operated in about 12 studys so far. Of those, 10 will be built in-house.
PROSScreen construction is easy.Easy to customize if you have basic knowledge of java script.
CONSI want you to be able to lock forms all at once. I would like to be able to check the approval status of EDC revisions all at once.

Hi Kenta! Thanks for taking time to provide a review. We are happy to let you know that "batch locking / review..." etc is part of a set of features we are now prioritising. Also, although a view of approval status of revisions could be of some value, which we definitely will consider, when it comes to have full control over all revisions at once, please check the issue listing in Clinic, or do an export of the query data, and then filter by type "pending form upgrade". This will give you a list of all forms that are still not upgraded to the latest revision. Please remember that just because someone from the site has approved an upgrade doesn't mean all forms are in fact upgraded (as some forms can be locked etc). 8 years of experience with Viedoc
I have experienced Viedoc (version 3 and version 4) as well as Viedoc Me across various projects. The system (regardless of the version) is really user friendly. On each project, I've been amazed by the flexibility and the agility of PCG team. With Viedoc 4, there is some area for improvement regarding the reporting features. From a clinical management perspective, it could be usefull to run report on missing data (confirmed or not) including on non initiated forms. Another area for improvement is related to efficient management of EDC training during the whole lifecycle of a study. I know that PCG is thinking about the possibility to have remote training done through short videos and I think that is a great idea! Due to the complexity of the study I run, there was some issues regarding the performance of the system (complaint regarding the speediness). PCG was very reactive. A corrective action plan was immediately implemented which resulted in an improvement of system's performance. I'm impatient to discover the next features to be released with the next up-grades of Viedoc 4 (such as possibility to generate the monitoring reports on the system)!
PROSuser friendly, flexible tool, very reactive and agile support
CONSreporting features could be improved (i.e. possibility to run report on missing forms/data). It would be great to have the possibility to run the monitoring report on the system (as on version 3). It would be great to use the landing page to share some study documents or key messages.

Viedoc - Easiest way to build a clinical trial
All in all, Viedoc is my favorite EDC system. I work with several systems and now have a good comparison. Value for money is unbeatable at Viedoc. The design of the software is also very appealing for the end user and what I particularly noticed about Viedoc is that the end users of our studies at Viedoc hardly need a helpdesk compared to other systems, which speaks for itself.
PROSI love the user interface, it is so simple and intuitive that there are hardly any errors to be expected. In the designer role, building an eCRF is playful and so easy that it's a lot of fun. The design validation is a huge help, errors generated are caught immediately and it is impossible to publish a design that contains hard errors. This saves the designer a lot of time looking for errors.
CONSWhen adding users, I miss the automated process to add users faster. You can already invite several users, but you still have to assign roles manually. It would be nice if you could think of a solution there, in the sense of ready-made lists that you could upload there. So that you could upload users with their associated roles directly.
Reason for choosing Viedoc
Viedoc is used primarily for complex studies, since the eCRF can be implemented very quickly with Viedoc and Viedoc offers many options for connecting multiple tools without using third parties.

We see Viedoc as our partner
We are very glad that we chose the Viedoc system many years ago. Viedoc's eClinical products are an excellent complement to our CRO services. Especially since we can run the software as a service completely self-sufficiently with our eSolutions department and do not depend on others to set up and customize the system for the projects. This makes us independent and flexible - two qualities we consider essential when working with our biotech and medtech customers. It also gives us an advantage over our competitors, as we are now true experts in using the Viedoc system and can implement changes during the course of a study extremely quickly and efficiently. Viedoc is a very innovative company that is constantly improving and adding new modules. Yet, throughout the years, Viedoc has never stopped taking good care of us. They value us as customers, listen to us and always support us in the best possible way, both in operational and marketing matters.
