About Rebex Buru SFTP Server

Rebex Buru SFTP Server allows you to securely transfer files using the SFTP protocol. It also enables you to run commands on remote computers using the secure SSH protocol. The server can be administered from everywhere via a standard web browser using the web administration interface. You can give access to existing Windows or Active Directory users, or create new users in the internal database. The server runs on any modern Windows. You can connect it from any environment which supports SFTP or SSH protocols such as Windows, Mac, Linux or more.

Easy to deploy with amazing Customer Service

It helps a great fold in Huge data transfer on a daily basis.

PROS

Easy to deploy.Comes with loaded CLI optionsAmazing and knowledgeable Support team

CONS

Options are limited within the Web portal in comparison to CLI capability.Missing automation on events (e.g. email or run scripts on events like login, upload, download, etc.)

The best SFTP software around

Very good and would recommend using Rebex Buru SFTP Server.

PROS

multi-factor authentication, file management, the UI and ease of setup.

CONS

I miss the option to be able to auto update the software and have it install automatically but this is not a problem as stopping and updating is not an issue at all. If you are comfortable with typing commands.

apart from it being an affordable product, the options for security and authentication persuaded me. It Rebex Buru SFTP Server also have a great UI to navigate around which was a bonus.

Very nice sftp server

I'm able to use azure pipelines to upload installs to the sftp server as well as allow bills pdfs to be uploaded and stored.

PROS

It's basic and easy and does what it's suppose to do, well! It's by far the best, straight forward sftp server I've found. I like that this runs as a system service and I like being able to whitelist ip's.

CONS

There's really nothing that I don't like. It's does what it's suppose to do. I'm happy.

The nofuzz and flexible SFTP option

Providing simple and secure SFTP access for internal integrations between platforms and publishing SFTP users externally to Azure services that internally maps to various shared folders for data extraction.

PROS

Flexibiliy beyond what is expected of such a simple setup process. I have even used it in a WSFC A/P Cluster setup with ease.

CONS

The lack of instructions to upgrade struggled me at first. An automated updater would be amazing or more instructions that fit all the corresponding instructions on how it can be installed.

reliable easy SFTP server

we are a 3 person IT department supporting 400+ people around the world. when we started data transfers with banking partners, we needed a secure means of transferring data. after evaluating several products based on internet reviews and suggestions, we settled on buru and were very happy with our choice. installation, operation, configuration, and upgrades are quick, easy, and painless. would HIGHLY recommend it

Great internal SFTP server

PROS

With the academic licensing, Rebex Buru SFTP server is a great internal server for secure data transfer. Using this for internal data transfers across our network has proven to be great for network and data security.

CONS

I think all of the features are great, so I don't really have a 'least like'. We only use a few but I am pretty impressed with it so far.

The free academic licensing for non-commercial use. I was able to set up the server for the exact purpose I needed.

15 minute setup

It works and you forget its running, The best kind of software.

PROS

Easy to use and setup. Highly recommend. Most features are in the admin panel which makes for an easy setup.

CONS

SSL setup was a bit confusing. I wish they had it in the admin panel.

I agree that it's always possible to improve it. Would it be possible to contact us in order to discuss options? For example for some scenarios a self-signed cert generator in web admin would be just OK, in some other scenarios integration with Let's Encrypt would be possible or preferred. Thanks.
