Student Outreach and Engagement

For us using Connectr is the missing piece between meeting students at career events and being able to track our impact and engagement - by using the platform to ensure there is new, exciting content, features and tasks for students to engage with, we can maintain that relationship with them after the event. It's also vital for us to reach students right across the UK and not just local to us, which Connectr supports with, making our company accessible to all, including social mobility cold spots.

PROS

The platform is simple but effective and very easy for students to navigate – as well as for us as clients to use and create content for. The site has become a key part of our student engagement activity and a vital way for us to track and keep students we meet at career events engaged with our company - particularly through the modules feature. Having the dashboard/reporting access is extremely useful and important for us, as is the mentoring function, providing a safeguarded link between connecting students with our colleagues.

CONS

An element of self service would be extremely useful for us to tweak content in the learning modules where needed, for quicker wins, but I know the team have taken this feedback onboard and hope to roll out this functionality soon which is exciting. It would also be useful to more flexible functionality for the parts within modules - i.e. have both video and text content on the same part etc.

A great tool for engaging with student talent

The competition for student talent is fierce. We know that its critical to have early engagement tools enabling more robust and diverse talent pipelines to be built. Connectr enables us to bridge the gap between meeting a student in their school, or on campus and continuing to develop and enhance that relationship until they are ready to make an application. Its more than a CRM tool.

PROS

Connectr is a really clever bit of kit that I believe is an integral part of any talent pipelining journey. Its agile, simple to set up, really straight forward to use and allows us to build a seamless journey from engaging with student talent right the way through to application. The reporting and data enables us to adapt and tailor the modules and information accordingly to ensure that engagement levels remain high. I have now introduced Conntectr in 3 different organisations.

CONS

There is nothing I dislike about the platform

Reasons for switching to Connectr

Connectr is more than a CRM tool. Its given us the opportunity to add real value to the students, whilst building brand awareness and industry insight.

Connectr platform for AWE onboarding

The Connectr client partners have made working with Connectr a great experience this year and we do believe it has significantly aided our onboarding engagement and keep warm efforts.

PROS

Ease of use, looks good, has been AWE branded (so looks like an extension of AWE's website), content customisable, Connectr client partners have been great.

CONS

Connectr platform cannot do comms out (therefore is a web page rather than a platform), Forums don't quite do what we wanted them to (enable grads to connect to sort out house share arrangements), can't reply to a thread in Forums, events disappear after the date/time of the event (could be greyed out), content is only customisable by Connectr client partners which means customers are entirely dependent on others to adjust content (adds a timeframe). Much of the above is already being addressed by Connectr.

Reason for choosing Connectr

Met the security considerations necessary for our business and was in a price bracket which met our budget.

Connectr Platform for Candidate Attraction & Preboarding Programme

PROS

It's a great tool that is always evolving and helps our prospective candidates connect with us and find out more about us, as well as supporting those who receive an offer for one of our 3 streams of early careers recruitment. It fills a gap in our candidate experience and engagement that we needed to fill and we know that young people want to connect with people in our organisation doing the job which we're able to provide. Working with the Connectr team has been excellent from day one, they provide support and are always available to help when we need them. - The Connectr team provide fantastic support and are always available when we need them.

CONS

There is always more we would like the platform to do for us, but we're just impatient! The team take our feedback and are working on improvements that we suggested so you can't ask more than that. We've suggested a few other tweaks too and the team are always keen to hear them as improving the product for us and for the user is top of their agenda.

A new dimension to school engagement

PROS

We introduced Connectr for our school engagement strategy, to ensure that students we engaged with at career events etc could be added to a talent pool and developed. The platform is freshly laid out and it has many functions - our favourites are the job board, modules and mentors. The reporting function is super handy for us to use too!

CONS

One thing that I think could be enhanced is a virtual certificate for students/users once they've completed a module. Also a video hub that students can watch focused video content all in one area.

I think Connectr already had some great features, but what could be even better is if the mentors could be categorised in one view page approach for the different youth programmes.

Great Platform for On-Boarding, Induction and Work Experience

PROS

- It makes our whole Early Careers talent acquisition process more effective, engaging candidates - providing company insights and offering much-needed support throughout their on-boarding expereince via interactive learning modules and digital buddies. - Really great support team that are always available when needed.

CONS

Would be great to have a self-serve element where learning tasks and modules can be amended by the customer.

Connectr helps us better understand the engagement we have with our target audience by providing real time data on the impact of our content and the demographics of our users, which is vital for our programme.

PROS

The software functionality enables the development and full customisation of engaging content, tracking the user journey and providing useful data analytics.

CONS

Could allow for more flexible formatting on page design, limited number of layouts at the moment.
