They can access them online anytime and anywhere they choose, giving workers more-flexible options for managing their personal finances. PayCaptain offers HR teams tools and guidance to help employees manage their personal finances. Companies can align the entire payroll process with their values and policies. It is cloud-based with bank-grade security and it includes RTI and auto-enrolment capabilities to ensure compliance.

Great customer service and app

Fantastic.

PROS

Good app that's accessible by employees; but really impressed at the end of the day by the customer service from the operations and payroll managers (Thanks [SENSITIVE CONTENT]!)

CONS

Probably could use a UX improvement in terms of how it looks but it's not really an issue; all the matters is that it works well and it does! Doesn't yet sync with Xero - though it does allow you to download journal entries; looking forward to it directly sync with Xero (when will it come?)

PayCaptain review by a very satisfied customer

Absolutely brilliant. The team at PayCaptain are as good as the product.

PROS

For me, it is the ease of use. I love how PayCaptain takes all of the complication away from managing our payroll. Be in no doubt, PayCaptain makes light work of handling all the complexities of payroll. The app interface is modern, simple and engaging.

CONS

I'm honestly struggling to come up with anything I don't like about the software. I think an early problem for me was that it wasn't easy to download 'paper' payslips in PDF format but I understand that is all possible now.

Reasons for switching to PayCaptain

We switched because PayCaptain is fantastic. For me, it is the future of payroll. It is one of those solutions that makes you ask 'why isn't everybody doing it this way'.

Great payroll partnership

Paycaptain is exactly what we needed when moving to outsourcing our payroll. The transition was so smooth and every employee felt confident with the app and additional benefits they will now receive (advance pay, donation options etc). Paycaptain catered to all our needs and more and is such a relief to have our payroll with them.

PROS

The app is very easy to use for me as the administrator and as an employee user. I can ask questions or change information quickly and easily. Added benefits are being used by our employees and these were benefits we didn’t offer before so PayCaptain has allowed us to improve our employee experience

CONS

Sometimes employees wouldn’t use the app so would be good to have email notifications of new payslips.

Reasons for switching to PayCaptain

We wanted to now outsource our payroll and paycaptain had much more benefits for our employees. They also share similar ethics and values

Professional, Personable, Proactive

Other than the software and portal being fantastic, the real star of the show is the customer service, which in my case has been the payroll manager, Val. Extremely experienced, personable and approachable, and has gone above an beyond our expectations to make what can be a tedious payroll process, into an easy to manage few hours a month.

PROS

The software is extremely intuitive and user friendly from both an admin and end employee perspective.

CONS

Nothing so far, everything has been a breeze!

We love working with PayCaptain!

I have loved every min of working with the PayCaptain team. They are really professional, helpful and efficient in everything they do. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and his excellent team go out of their way to support us and work in ways that suit us. Their level of customer service makes working with them so easy. I also would highly recommend the PayCaptain product as its helped us to transform the way we process our pay. The access to the app is a huge benefit for our team!

Pay Captain

We’ve recently started using Pay Captain as our payroll and wellbeing provider. We are so happy with their service. I couldn't speak more highly of their support team, any of our payroll instructions are quickly, professionally and patiently resolved. It really has revolutionised how we do our payroll. One of the best decisions we’ve made as a growing company! Keep doing what you do best!

PROS

The product is extremely easy to use from both an admin and employee perspective. Any questions or queries are picked up and assisted with straight away. Val is an amazing help, but the whole team have been fantastic with any questions that we've thrown at them (and we throw a lot of questions).

CONS

Nothing, I'd highly recommend the move to Pay Captain.

Our previous company was one of the largest payroll providers within the hospitality sector, it was very archaic, not very user-friendly and took double the time as our current Pay Captain.

Worth it!

Excellent.

PROS

All app/web-based so I can run payroll at my fingertips from my mobile. It's all visual and is easy for our employees to use too. The built-in features of on-demand pay and digital wallets help with the financial well-being of our people.
