Saves a ton of time, effort and hassle!

Visdum is a great tool for comp management and commission tracking. Its versatility in creating and administering commission plans, enabling administrators to effectively manage compensation throughout the payout cycle, from the initial routing of sales compensation plans via DocuSign to sales reps, through to the point where they earn their commissions and receive payment, right down to making journal entries to the accounting system, is remarkable.

PROS

Visdum has surpassed expectations. Having worked with various comp tools over the last 5 years, Visdum stands out as the most user-friendly and adaptable option. It not only provides transparency for sales representatives but is also straightforward for sales leaders. It has very thoughtful features, such as the What-if calculator that they call "Estimator" (enabling reps to forecast potential earnings from future deals), an integrated ticketing system (the Dispute/Inquiry feature), customizable commission statements, reports, dashboards, and approval workflows.

CONS

There isn't anything specific I dislike about the tool. For those unfamiliar with Visdum and with excel/google sheets, the plan logic and formulas might initially seem peculiar, or certain features (like Reporting Engine) may appear challenging. However, with some training and familiarization, these features also become logical and straight forward.

Reasons for switching to Visdum

The primary challenge addressed by Visdum was the reliance on Excel sheets and calculators for compensation management. While it was possible to manage with those tools, the goal was to offer something more user-friendly and transparent for employees, enhancing their overall experience Excel didn’t give us any clarity into our commission calculations. Dispute queries between sales reps and finance were through the roof.

Great tool for tracking incentives

Visdum helps me get better transparency into my monthly incentive payouts. It sends alert notifications when new computations are processed by the admins.

PROS

Great tool for keeping track of your incentive earnings. Easy to use and looks nice, putting all your payout details in one spot. Visdum helps you stay organised with your money. Just log in and you're good to go. Customer support is fantastic. I use Visdum every week to check my incentive updates.

CONS

Nothing to say at the moment. I use Visdum on a regular basis.

Reasons for switching to Visdum

Visdum gives me visibility into past and future commission statements. While wYe use other tools for performance measurement, it also shows my progress against goals at a glance. I leverage Visdum to cross-check data in our systems and ensure accuracy. It serves as a reliable single source of truth. Using Visdum has been an all-around positive experience so far.

Finally, a commission software that promises transparency and delivers it.

I can log in anytime to see exactly how much I've made, how close those deals got me to my goals, and even predict what future payouts look like. This kind of clarity really fires up the team to sell more knowing the rewards are clear and within reach. And it builds major trust that commissions will get handled fairly.

PROS

Visdum lays everything out in the open with real-time access to my incentives and exactly how they're calculated. I never have to wonder what I'm working towards or if I'm getting paid fairly. I can log in anytime to check where my commissions stand, understand what sales or actions are driving my earnings, and clearly see what I need to focus on to hit my targets. No more hidden rules or complicated math impacting my pay.

CONS

I would recommend there being more knowledge resources or nudges within the platform that could enable me to use the platform to the fullest.

Visdum enables better than ever cross-team collaboration

The platform makes understanding and acting on compensation data a total breeze! Most importantly, my team’s job has become so much easier as both Finance and Sales teams also regularly use the platform. Visdum is easy to use and set up, their customer service team is absolutely phenomenal to work with.

PROS

Visdum is a really intuitive platform that quickly got me up to speed on commissions and payouts in my RevOps role. After just two months of using Visdum integrated with our HubSpot data, I can now easily navigate statements, spot insights, and answer questions on sales opportunities.

CONS

While the platform is great, the reporting tools need greater simplicity and agility to navigate custom inquiries, as creating tailored insights currently demands a steeper learning curve.

I love how Visdum allows slick communication through approvals, queries/dispute resolution, uploading statements, and more right within one system. Our team uses Visdum daily, and their customer support is truly incredible. Accuracy of commission payouts

The platform is quite user-friendly, and the support team has been highly effective in resolving our queries and even accommodating feature requests.

PROS

Visdum’s UI is modern and intuitive. Visdum also enables reps to build individual reports making it really easy for me to monitor my commission earnings and ensure they align with expectations. This level of visibility and clarity removes any potential ambiguity surrounding my compensation.

CONS

There was an initial learning curve when the platform was adopted. While I’m able to explore the platform in-depth now, I wish there were more in-app resources to grasp the full breadth of features and functionalities available within the platform.

Reasons for switching to Visdum

Our sales commission system previously was flawed. We were using excel sheets which failed to grant us visibility into our payout checks, leaving us demotivated all the time. Visdum’s ability to handle our complex structure stood out.

Great comp tool!

Handling complicated commission setups used to be a headache before Visdum. Now we can easily define all the intricate rules, brackets, and calculations we need for our sales team's incentives. I love how flexible Visdum is for configuring plans, whether that's varied pay rates for different products sold, split commissions across departments, or tiered earnings based on volumes. Visdum has the templates so you can customize compensation models to match your exact business needs.

PROS

Visdum's adaptability has been a game changer for structuring our commissions. We've tailored it to our special requirements as a SaaS company with a complex compensation model. The flexible system makes it really easy for admins/finance teams to adapt all the rules and plans to fit our diverse business requirements.

CONS

For someone who's never worked with a sales commission system before, there could be a slight learning curve. It's not hard to overcome because the team is always there to assist.

Smooth and seamless onboarding

My experience with Visdum has been largely positive, with a few minor challenges along the way. One of the standout features of Visdum is its seamless integration with Salesforce. The ability to easily import users and create and schedule data flows has streamlined our processes and made managing sales commissions much more efficient.

PROS

Integrating Salesforce, importing users, creating and scheduling data flows was surprisingly intuitive and painless. Sheer simplicity in calculating commissions, enabling us to review and publish commission statements for sales to view. We've received very positive feedback from our employees on Visdum's interface and the clarity it brings to commissions and the underlying calculations. Our onboarding and implementation was smooth, detailed, and they dedicated time to ensure we clearly grasped how plans are setup, promptly addressing any inquiries we had.

CONS

The reporting engine can be somewhat hard to grasp initially, but once set up, the reports are straightforward to manage. Our challenge lies in managing several plan variations with similar rules; while ability to clone plans is helpful to start with, updating formulas across multiple plans without individually modifying them would be a great feature to have.

Invaluable in automating sales commission process

The automation of sales commissions has greatly improved productivity for our entire team.

PROS

Visdum allows us to import sales data and generate calculations within minutes each month, reducing the overall time previously dedicated to manual commission calculations. The reporting functionality has made it easier for each sales representative to scrutinize their monthly sales performance and raise queries or corrections within the platform instead of offline dispute resolution, ensuring timely and accurate commission payouts.

CONS

While the software meets most of my needs satisfactorily, one area for potential improvement would be enhancing the filtering capabilities of the dashboards.

Visdum has made tracking payouts and forecasting earnings simpler

As a Sales Manager, my experience with Visdum has been overwhelmingly positive. One of the standout features of Visdum is its ability to present key sales commission information in a clear and easy-to-understand format. This is crucial for me as it allows me to quickly access essential data such as previous and upcoming payouts, as well as transaction breakdowns, without feeling overwhelmed.

PROS

Visdum presents the key sales commission information in a clear and easy-to-understand format, without overwhelming me. The interface is straightforward and fast to navigate when I want access to details like my previous payouts, upcoming payouts, and transaction breakdowns. Pages load quickly. The layout is very good overall. I've never felt frustrated or unable to find what I’m looking for. My favorite feature, however, is the Estimator - this pipeline estimator helps me forecast potential earnings from future deals.

CONS

I enjoy using the platform because of its simplicity and their efficient customer support. So, I haven't encountered any negatives yet. It's met my requirements well.
