I'm a fan of PRWeb and have used it multiple times at multiple agencies and clients. Its a great way to get started and familiar with the press release distribution universe.

PRWeb is a perfect option for those seeking an affordable, easy-to-use wire distribution service where they prioritize cost and simply getting something over the wire. It doesn't offer some of the functionality as the competition, but most people don't need all of the bells and whistles. It's perfect for early-stage startups who don't wish to pay an arm and a leg for a simple press release. It's also part of the Cision ecosystem which most PR pros are already using.

The UI can be a bit clunky and it doesn't offer some of the various distribution or reporting functions of some of its competitors.
