Brilliant Support and Great Development
It's been a very exciting journey with Volcanic and as a small team we've really appreciated the support and involvement they've had with us from day one. We've never had any major issue with the site which can't be said for other systems and support has always communicated promptly and efficiently with us!
PROSWithout a doubt the customer support is excellent. Very responsive team, definitely capable and really innovative in terms of the development they envision and accomplish with clients in mind. [sensitive content hidden] has been a godsend to us to with proactive feedback and encouraging development.
CONSThere's not much that I don't like currently about the system and anything that comes up is always up for discussion with support to fix or find alternatives. There are some limited capabilities in terms of the Media Library, Location selector and SEO Console but the team has shown great interest in improving these for the future.
Reasons for switching to Access Volcanic
WordPress was outdated and didn't have certain capabilities. We found the website was a heavy load and slow speed.

Experience turned around through great customer service
Not great initially, but since having sessions with [sensitive content hidden] I am very much happy with the service. I also had a really good conversation with my account manager [sensitive content hidden] who was extremely lovely and helpful when I was experiencing difficulties in my business.
PROSI had some fantastic sessions with [sensitive content hidden] who turned my whole experience and perception of Volcanic around. He was so clear, helpful and spoke to me in plain English to help me understand and de-mistify some of the issues I was having. He walked me through step by step how to get the most out of my site and I felt like he went above and beyong to ensure I was happy and my issues were resolved.
CONSI was having issues with the usability of my website. I am not a particularly technical person and I found the onboarding overly complicated and confusing. It didn't feel intuitive to me. I was also having issues with the site connecting to my database. I felt like I was thrown from pillar to post trying to get to the bottom of my issue and as a result had several months where I was basically unable to use the site. However, this has been rectified and turned around through some really helpful sessions with [sensitive content hidden].

Thanks to [sensitive content hidden] in Support
I was unable to access my website and portal for support and Access Group have no telephone numbers so their customers can't get hold of them if they were in a situation like mine. I was pretty unhappy about this as no one at Access or Volcanic had told me about my business' website not functioning until a customer brought it to my attention. I went through my old emails and contacted [sensitive content hidden], a Premier Customer Service Manager at Volcanic in the UK and isn't my account manager. I contacted [sensitive content hidden] because I had no idea who my account manager was and had previous emails from [sensitive content hidden] in the past. He came back to me immediately, sorted out my access to the portal, made me aware of who my account manager was and also pointed me in the right direction of someone in the business who can help me. Access would be losing a customer on renewal if it wasn't for this chap so I really appreciate your help mate.
CONSGenerally the customer service at Access is very weak but there are some good people in the business like mentioned above.

Excellent Customer Service
[sensitive content hidden] has been a great support in guiding us with the development and enhancement of our recruitment website. He understands our requirements as a recruitment agency operating in Ireland. His experience spans across many areas, including design, which has been invaluable to our team. He is responsive in addressing any concerns we have and is always prompt in coming back to us with solutions.

CONSThe website's navigation is confusing and frustrating. Important information is buried deep within nested menus, making it difficult to find what you need. The lack of clear labels and confusing layout adds to the confusion. Moving between pages is a hassle, leading to a frustrating user experience.

Support is good, but only recently
The templates supply ease of use for both candidates and employees. The support from [sensitive content hidden] has been great as he has shown us how to utilise our platform to make better decisions and see our ROI from volcanic. He has also gone through the platform in depth to examine where we can improve our site for the best candidate journey.
CONSIt took us debating leaving to be given this type of support. At the time we joined Volcanic onboarding was also poor. I understand they're in the process of improving their onboarding process though so future companies may benefit.
