Campus Commerce Drives Our Dining and Retail Solutions
Online ordering made our Dining Ops scalable to an extent not realized thru traditional campus Dining models. Our Housing Retail ops are running more seamless than before we started Campus Commerce. The overall system is attractive to students and contributes to campus recruitment in an essential way.
PROSEase of installation and start up, expert support on site for start up, logical configuration and implementation, and clean systems integration with existing campus processes.
CONSThe canned reports and the reporting tools are not as robust and customizable as they should be, leaving a small percentage of our custom requests handled thru extra development. Small details with systems integration are still being addressed by your development teams.

Campus Commerce most fully addressed all of our needs and concerns, including integration with our proprietary campus card system.

They make it easier for the campus community to go about their daily routine with a one card solution and now mobile credentials has made a big impact on ease of use around campus.
CONSSome of the implementations are a bit difficult and very time consuming especially when campuses have very limited staff to assist with implementations. I know there is always assistance from our software providers but sometimes can't budget for those costs.

Positive experience, but not without its headaches.
Integrated campus card support was a key wish list item. The ability to integrate natively with Transact TSE, greatly reduces transaction time and minimize human errors. Mobile Ordering platform offers a comprehensive marketing/loyalty system with an impressive set of features. Promising product road map with lots of possibilities. Our decision to go with CPOS and MOBO was further reassured by Transact's expert implementation team and dependable support.
CONSHigh equipment and licensing costs have been prohibitive to growth. We would like to see the marketing/loyalty platform brought over to CPOS. System's feature set is robust, which means there is a big learning curve. System lacks some functionality required to properly support tax-exempt meal plans. Disappointing that each new location requires support services to activate license and deploy, which may be at the mercy of scheduling.

Campus Commerce Solutions were selected for its functionality, support services, Transact TSE integration and, ease of procurement (sole source with TSE).

The previous POS system was end-of-life and not supported by our new vendor. (Oracle Micros)
