EViews review
My overall experience is quite positive. EViews does not require coding skills, so it allows me to run regressions and use statistical complex models. However I think that EViews can improve its visualization set and also make a better version of EViews for MacBook users.
PROSIn my opinion EViews is the easiest statistical software in the market. In 99% cases you do not need to type a code. Also everything is ordered perfectly, so it is very easy to find a regression or a model that you are looking for. Besides that, EViews has almost all statistic modelling tools that an average user might need. Last but not least EViews has an integration with Matlab and R.
CONSEViews is pretty slow when you run a really large data. You might wait several minutes for your data forecast. Also Eviews has really bad visualization. Personall I try to avoid using EViews plots and majority of graphs in my presentations. Another major disadvantage of EViews is its price. There are free statistical software that do basically the same job for free(like R) so if someone have enough time to learn them EVews is basically useless for them.

Powerful time series and panel data analysis software
For more than six years now, we continue to use Eviews as an essential tool for econometric analyses because of its ease of use and its ability to generate results from descriptive or econometric analyses in synthetic tables that are easy to interpret. For example, when we want to perform unit root tests on variables in a database, Eviews appears to be efficient because it allows us to display the results of the different tests (Dicker Fuller Augmented, Pearsan, Levin-Shu) in a synthetic table, whereas many econometric analysis software do not have this property. Moreover, the realization of estimations with specifications of models with threshold effects (PTR), specifications in dynamic panel in difference, in system or not (GMM, GMM system, GMM first diffrence) or specifications in autoregressive vector models (VCM, VCE), etc., appear totally easy to realize with Eviews because of the preliminary existence of pre-executable commands. For me exclusively, it is the one of the best econometric software to have as a tool for statistical and econometric analysis.
PROSEviews is an econometric software that is easy to use due to the existence of numerous pre-executable commands integrating the different tests related to the different analysis methods to be performed. It is thus a powerful tool for the analysis of time series and panel data through its ability to integrate the various theoretical econometric specifications in the social and human sciences. It also has a very attractive and designed interface.
CONSAs a shortcoming, we note that although this software appears to be efficient for econometric analyses, there is still room for improvement in terms of the design of professional extraction commands for the results of the analyses, as provided for in certain standards of presentation of regression tables for certain major scientific journals in the social sciences (érudit, cairn, etc.,). With Eviews, one is obliged to retouch the regression tables to respect the presentation standards, whereas in STATA there are numerous commands on this subject.
Reasons for switching to EViews
For certain functionalities that are complementary to those of Eviews, we use the above-mentioned software in our descriptive and econometric analyses of the databases.

Statistical analysis software for beginners
Easy to learn, suitable for beginners. It was the first statistical software I've ever used. Has everything you need in terms of regressions etc.
CONSMore user-friendly than other statistical software, but UX still has room for improvement.

EViews for Econometrics
I used the EViews program in my research on the impact of inflation rates on the exchange rate in Algeria for a relatively long period of time. In fact, I am very satisfied with the program as it allowed me to obtain very accurate results about the previous variables.
PROSI can say that EViews is the easiest and simplest econometric program among the programs available for this purpose in the market, as the availability of executable commands makes you needless to learn programming unlike other programs I can also say that its size allows it to be loaded comfortably on any computer of average specifications, and you will not need a large memory or a high-performance computer to use it.
CONSOn the other hand, and from my personal experience, I see that the EViews program needs a major improvement in the charts, graphs, and illustrations, as I often use another program to clarify them. I can also point out that it is very expensive compared to the advantages it offers
