VLC? I don't need you anymore
I have been using MPV player for a while now and it has been a great experience. The player is very lightweight and has a lot of features that other players don't have. The player is also very customizable, which is great. The only downside is that the player doesn't have a lot of documentation, but the community is very helpful and there are a lot of resources available online. Overall, I would highly recommend MPV player to anyone looking for a great media player.
PROSMPV player is a free and open source media player based on MPlayer and mplayer2. It supports a wide variety of video and audio formats, as well as DVDs, CDs, and Blu-Ray discs. And I love that, you don't need to fight with some videos, just use mpvplayer
CONSThe worst thing about MPV Player is that it is not very user-friendly and can be difficult to use for those who are not familiar with it.

Play media with mpvPlayer
I've been using mpvPlayer to play videos on Linux, it's great audio and video quality, supports several formats and is great.
PROSI like that mpvPlayer is free and open source, it's easy to install and set up, supports several audio and video formats.
CONSThe interface of mpvPlayer seems pretty old compared to other media player software.
