Robust tool to prevent data loss

This is a solution that guarantees the protection of confidential data from situations that could put them at risk. It facilitates the control and monitoring of removable devices used by employees.

PROS

It has powerful protection tools that prevent the risk of data misuse. I like the ones it sends to email in real time to warn about any violation of security policies. Facilitates centralized management to control the use of portable devices. It guarantees the blocking in the transfer of files from a PC to storage devices. Enables user-based security controls, maintaining the necessary confidence in the handling of data.

CONS

This is a robust and reliable solution, I found nothing negative in the operation of this platform.

Data loss Prevention and Computer Security from a reliable software

In the company we handle sensitive data every time; of our esteemed clients and confidential company operations. Data leaks as we all know are common through USB ports streams. Having a counter software to prevent such leaks is Crucial and a robust one like Accesspatrol gives us more confidence security-wise. The overall experience has been superb.

PROS

The Locked USB ports are completely inaccessible from unauthorized users. If someone attempts to steal your data through USB streams you'll receive an alert to your email. AccessPatrol makes it possible for us to actualize exclusive use of USB devices through a whitelist and blacklist policy model. The software's functionality is itself a marvel, restricting data access file-wise, folder-wise just to mention a few.

CONS

The software was easy to implement and use but the reports are intensive and running a full analysis from time to time is hectic.

Vendor Response

Thank you for your review, Alisha! I know analyzing the data can be a daunting task when you need to protect against thousands of users. In those cases I recommend relying heavily on the alerts, scheduled email reports, and the dashboards to review key metrics such as file transfers to portable storage, use of unknown USB devices, etc. I'd also prioritize your analysis to users with direct access to sensitive data.

Good for its level

Decen t. The support team is pretty responsive and they are helpful in times of need; install, updates, etc.

PROS

That there is an interface that allows full control over all clients in one place.

CONS

That the software is kind of clunky and the provisioning for external devices is very unreliable.

Vendor Response

Hi Jay, Thanks for your feedback. Our team is always looking to improve AccessPatrol and we will pass along your feedback to incorporate in future versions. Regards, The CurrentWare Team

Total Security against data breaches

AccessPatrol has been of valuable input to the company through protection of sensitive and confidential information. In my department, we constantly deploy bots to handle the repetitive but important tasks. Some of the bots are ingested with crucial data making them vulnerable. AccessPatrol makes it possible for only allowed devices to access the data while blocking the foreign ones. This way, we are fully armored against illicit data transfers.

PROS

AccessPatrol is flexible enough to allow users implement USB device control policies from a conveniently from a web console. It can actively sync imported directories to existing organizational units. Swift monitoring of files copied to USB and other storage devices

CONS

I would like to see more improvements on reports. The generated USB activity reports are rather clustered and complex to comprehend.

Vendor Response

Thank you for your review, Gray! I know the static PDF reports can be overwhelming when reviewing USB activities with a lot of data. If you haven't already I'd recommend you try out the data dashboards for AccessPatrol, they're a great way to get an overview of your workforce's USB activity: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6vQQKakNSM

Most Secure USB Control Software.

AccessPatrol has empowered us to achieve full data security while maintaining peak productivity. Some departments in our company develop programs for utility by the military. This has sensitive data written all over. Engaging AccessPatrol to secure confidential data has been of indispensable value to us.

PROS

It's possible to deploy both as an on-premises and a cloud solution which turned out to be a great fit for our remote engineers. File access blocking is quite broad-based. You can block transfer of specific files to USB devices (selection by file name ) rather than the entire drive. The AccessPatrol Console has several functionalities to manage policies for all connected and separate computers.

CONS

I have used AccessPatrol for almost two years now and I haven't seen a single glitch. You might however experience some bugs if your version is outdated.

Vendor Response

Thank you for your review, Ezekiel! Fantastic to hear that AccessPatrol's USB control features have helped keep you in compliance when developing programs for your national defense partners.
