Pathify is a solid choice for improving the student portal experience

PROS

Unlike other portal solutions, Pathify is designed with education clients in mind. It allows for a lot of customization for both integrations and user experience.

CONS

Site performance isn't always 100% up to par, and it can be difficult to get truly "live" data to show up in the system. Users have to be comfortable with an hour or two delay, in many cases.

An intuitive 'front door' for our entire learning suite which is seeing retention gains.

The benefits of uCroo are numerous. Firstly, we get a highly engaging social experience for our students, faculty, and staff from the moment they login to our system. Far superior to any 'portal', uCroo allows people to connect and communicate in ways our organization craved but never had access to. Second, by aligning the platform with our other learning system platforms (the LMS, our synchronous tools, etc), it has brought out more positive, better practices for all of the tools. Next, while some admins were concerned about user generated content (complaints, etc), we have been thrilled to actually see (hear) what our students are saying - especially when it's a frustration or concern - and being able to respond. That is powerful. Likewise, there is the obvious benefit of being able to predict or mitigate problems earlier. We have tied "social engagement" into our prediction of success metrics and are finding a new set of factors (motivation, grit, connectedness) available to us for the first time. In all, uCroo is a far reaching, social engagement platform that has given us positive outcomes in multiple ways - some we were counting on and others we have been pleasantly surprised by. I highly recommend this platform.

PROS

uCroo allows us to incorporate 3 kinds of social-ness into the student experience: interpersonal, organizational, and social learning with potential enrollment and advancement capabilities being strategized right now.

CONS

I wish the software embedded more deeply into the learning management system as we have some deficiencies there which would be helped a lot by the uCroo platform.

Simple to Learn, Great Search Bar

Excellent. Customer service and help desk have been wonderful.

PROS

The Search Bar makes detailed menus unnecessary and greatly reduces clicks. New users catch on very quickly, and staff/faculty used to an outdated SharePoint site ask, "Is that all I have to do?" and, after some tentativeness, have become power users.

CONS

The calendar and events aren't as intuitive as the rest of the program. Lately more improvements have been made, but these are still the features that students bring up the most.

One Stop Shop for Students and Employees

PROS

Pathify makes us and our opinions feel valued. We have already seen several of our suggestions released. Their support team is always on the ball and any issues that arise (very few issues) are always resolved quickly.

CONS

We implemented them when they were still relatively small. I feel their customer base grew faster than their support team, so bandwidth on their end was limited. They have finally seem to hit their stride.
