Excellent Sales Resource
Veritone gives my radio customers peace of mind knowing that they are able to track the impact of their campaign. One of the most common radio objections has always been "how do I track it," with Veritone I have a concrete answer to that question.
CONSThe learning curve is a bit steep. There are so many features that I still have to learn the ins and outs of.

BEST LOOKING ATTRIBUTION DASHBOARD
In today's marketing world, Attribution is king. Without Attribution you are not providing your clients or yourself with the proper information to ensure that the marketing dollars are counting. Veritone makes it easy for anyone to have the right information in an extremely presentable manner.
PROSVeritone is simple to use. You have to pay attention to how the software is set up, but the data retrieved from it is priceless, and accurate.
CONSIt does not take much to throw the system off when setting up an account. If you make the mistake, do not waste time, contact customer service immediately. You will not catch your mistake.

Great in concept, frustrating in application
Overall, I've appreciated the communication from customer service. The turnaround time from other portions of the team is lacking, unfortunately.
PROSIn my world, attribution is vital. The Achilles Heel to nearly all broadcast media has been that. Being able to sit across the table from someone juggling a massive marketing budget and pushing them to our side of the fence with this software has made closing business that much easier. Especially in a world where digital dollars are eating out more and more of advertisers' spends. Knowing that we can even drill down to effective copy length, days and stations makes us and the buyer feel like we're making savvy, well-informed decisions instead of "well, I listen to this station so therefore everyone does" ones. We've been able to peel off a large amount of business from other stations with data like this.
CONSSadly, while all of the above make for great talking points, it is KILLING me how poorly the software matches up with our logs. I have always been fine allowing a margin for error as the 1's and 0's of the software tries to speak to multiple different programs, but when it's off by 50%+? That's wholly unacceptable. I used to think it was how I was setting the campaigns up, but I've walked through it with multiple people now and there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with it. Not to mention, often my ISCIs can't be found in the ad search. It's to the point where I just wait a couple weeks and send the logs off to customer service to have you do it for me. That obviously can't be worth your time, and it certainly isn't worth mine or my clients'. Until perhaps the last 6 months or so, I used Veritone almost daily, but until this is corrected, I simply can't put hours of my week into pressure testing my campaigns.

Level of Media Campaign Detail is spectatular
VERITONE makes my job so much easier. Being able to quantify to clients that "Radio Works!" is just a tremendous sales tool... in both client acquisition... and a great metric to encourage campaign renewal! Highly recommended!
PROSI have worked exclusively with ATTRIBUTE, so no nothing about DISCOVERY. My company previously used another provider, but VERITONE's level of campaign detail is much more robust. Being able to see "First Time" client website is a huge difference (from the previous vendor) that my clients love. They also love the easy-to-read & colorful graphics. I like the ability to breakout the graph line by WEEK or MONTH too... and see associated analytics. Best of all, is being able to document that RADIO works! Clients often are dubious about broadcast media and "top of the funnel" marketing. But Veritone documents both the website lift in the 10 minutes after a commercial airs... and the overall lift when RADIO was added to the marketing mix. One of my clients saw 38% lift in that 10-minute window after a radio commercial... that feed into an overall lift of 140% since radio campaign launch.
CONSIt is somewhat difficult to learn Attribute use without a hands-on tutorial from a mentor. There is nothing on the platform itself that screams out a logical workflow or way to send out a client request for GA access... or shows you how to enter a new campaign. But once you learn the drill it quite easy. My biggest complaint about Veritone is the 'lag time' when you change the date range or other elements of the campaign. The "Still Processing" tag sometimes lingers for a very long time.

Veritone Feedback
I like Veritone for the most part. I just wish it was more intuitive and that you could use isics or had a better way of knowing what ran is correct because there are a lot of loose variables especially when you involve keywords and using phonetics. Some of the commercials can get lost. Also, it would be nice to have more books to choose from.
PROSThe Nielsen Impressions and Mentions are what I like most. I like that there is a breakdown of demographics with the Nielsen report to highlight who is listening to our stations. I appreciate the filtering system by programs so that we can narrow it down by stations. Also, mentions are great ways to check that we have found the correct keywords and to grab airchecks.
CONSI think that there should be more accessible markets. Half the markets are not available. You can put them in by station but it is hard to see and select multiple station even when you widen it. The reports need to show more of the dates when you pull. You can click on it to see that they did pull more dates but in a pdf that doesn't help and it makes the client feel not all dates ran. Also, whenever you modify title you have to clone report because previous title will continue to be on report.
