MG2 produce macchine automatiche per l’industria farmaceutica: una industry molto normata dove la documentazione tecnica richiede elevati standard di precisione e correttezza. La mole di dati e informazioni è vasta: i manuali di ogni macchina possono arrivare a 1500 pagine, e stiamo parlando solo del manuale delle istruzioni, a cui si aggiunge altra documentazione tecnica. I nostri clienti hanno sempre riconosciuto la qualità del lavoro del nostro reparto di documentazione tecnica, ma essa era ancora gestita in modo “artigianale”. Riusciva a raggiungere il suo scopo, ma la sua produzione non era efficiente. Questo avveniva in Word, con modelli specifici per impaginare, e con il supporto di specifici tools. Le traduzioni erano gestite in modo completamente manuale. Perciò producevamo sì documenti tecnici di elevata qualità, ma tramite operazioni manuali, non automatizzate, solo grazie alla professionalità e esperienza dei colleghi. Abbiamo scoperto che molte ore erano spese in attività senza valore aggiunto, e notato ciò abbiamo iniziato a cercare altri metodi per gestire i dati e le informazioni dei nostri documenti. Abbiamo preso in esame numerosi software per scegliere infine EKR.
