Managing Public Works Permits

Permit Central has made my job much easier. I no longer have to print, sign and save permits to different folders. It's easy to review permits in a central location and I can request additional information or changes without phone calls or emails.

PROS

It makes it easy to apply for a range of permits. Reviewing permits is simple, as well as requesting changes or providing approvals.

CONS

Tracking or finding past permits. Some additional filters might be helpful.

PROS

It helped us digitize our pen and paper method of permits. It increased efficiency and provides a record of all permits that have been undertaken.

CONS

The wasn't anything that I disliked about Permit Central

OO Trip and Annual Permits through Permit Central

PROS

The OO Trip and Annual Permits are easy to use for the applicant and for staff approving the permits. Customer service with Permit Central is exceptional. Staff are very responsive from the time you initially submit an inquiry, to receiving a response and/or resolution.

CONS

Inability to pull some reports for internal / external reporting for the Organization. The reports can be pulled by Transnomis staff however it would be easier if user's could pull them on their own.

Reason for choosing Permit Central

There was a pilot project through OGRA that our municipality was included in.

Just what we have been waiting for

So much easier to keep track of documents. Easy to use. Love that we can do everything electronically. Very happy with the Customer Service and strategies to work out any issues we have had.

PROS

Ease of use. Customer Service before, during and after implementation Training

CONS

The payment system has not worked for us. We are struggling to get set up.
