The Swisscom Brain
It feels like Google made a baby with Siri.
PROSIn a large company like Swisscom it's not easy to quickly find the right person to help you out with a problem. Starmind, which powers Swisscom's Ask-The-Brain tool, makes this really simple. Questions can be submitted anonymously, and then the system automatically matches it up with the people most likely to have the right answer.
CONSIt would be nice to see more integrations into other tools that are used on a daily basis, like Teams, Confluence, or Outlook, to avoid having to search in multiple tools. But I don't know if this is a limitation of the Software or if Swisscom just hasn't tackled it yet.

- customer support. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] is always very kind and helpful. - Out of the box integrations - simple to use - the ability to precapture questions and answers for software rollouts (with knowledge spaces)
CONS- Search should be better (more like Google Search) - Every user should be able to mark knowledge thats important for their work - Individualiced filters should be possible - Status of Feature requests on canny is not always clear and it takes a lot of time untile someone reacts on them - beeing able to ask questions that are not recognisable as such

Improve layout
I am engaged in providing technical solution to queries posted on Starmind. But reading response of non technical questions is also a great source of knowledge management.
PROSUser friendly, the dash board, robust search
CONSthe layout. I think the previous layout was better (may be a question of a habit) but for me the navigation bar ''Ask the ICRC'' on right hand side. Also would it be possible to put the dashboard on the top (a source of motivation how am I doing!!!) than at the bottom. Also ''Notifications' should be on Top that way its more catchy!

Excellent software to encourage open exchange on different topics in an organization
Starmind helps us in an incredible way to encourage colleagues on a global level not to be afraid to ask questions. Through the feature to ask a question and comment on answers to their questions anonymously, colleagues are feeling more ready to ask anything that they are concerned about. Sometimes, staff in organizations are haunted by difficult or sensitive questions which they do not feel comfortable with asking to their manager or other colleagues. With Starmind, we have a safe space now to also get aware of and address those questions. In addition to that core feature of Starmind the design both of the web version and the mobile app are very user-friendly and the search function works splendidly. With hashtags and skill maps, it gets easy to identify colleagues who are experts in specific areas.
CONSFor specific sensitive questions, it might be helpful if the question answerer could also remain anonymous, but his department affiliation would be shown. E.g., an John Doe from HR answers a question, but it will only be shown as "Anonymous, HR".

Useful tool but needs work
I really like it and enjoy to be able to contribute with my knowledge.
PROSStarmind is very easy to use. Many people can contribute with their knowledge and experience. I am one of the contributors and I am in level 18 at the moment . It is an addictive tool. In my spare time, I search for questions that I can answer. I am very competitive, and work to reach the highest level possible. This is an interactive tool since we can ask any type of questions and we can chat with other colleagues to get the best answer. There are helpful features such as Feeds, experts, dashboard and skill map which are very convenient for the user.
CONSI have seen many unanswered questions since over a year ago, it would be helpful to questions in a different section. A glossary will be helpful and an appendix for easy lookup of a word since there are many technical words used for a specific business unit.
